When we built a home in 2013 with Saddletree homes we had a very large budget for home security and…read moreAV wiring from Site Sound and Security. Part of the package from our builder was a 2Gig home security and control unit, several modules for controlling lights, a compatible thermostat and one year of monitoring from Sight Sound and Security. Unfortunately after the first year was up Carl the owner of Sight Sound & Security refused to give us access to the unit anymore and will not return calls or emails. Saddletree attempted to have him contact us but pretty much told us to give up. So Saddletree gives you the basic unit and some control modules but unless you continue to pay Sight Sound and Security it's useless as Carl locks out the system with an installer code and won't change it. The last email I sent Carl was nearly a year ago and I promised him if he did not give us access to the unit which we own I would write an honest review of his business so that others could avoid him. He again did not respond. Buyer Beware.

So our history goes way back to when we first bought our smart home in December 2017. We were…read morereferred to him by our builder that told us this who you call to setup your smart house (ipad, interface with WiFi, lighting and security interfaces etc.) so to be clear, we write his company a check for our alarm service and he troubleshoots issues with the smart house apps interfacing with our phones or the internet etc. So we called to get him out to setup the alarm and that took longer than it should have. We also ordered some More smart lights and smart speakers for the house and those installs took forever. Then after that was done we realized that the security camera component just shows real time camera feed, it doesn't record or allow you to go back and review any footage. So we called him (several times) and when he finally called back he said we needed to buy a special dvr to record footage instead of just view it. He gave us a quote for $645 for what was called the legrand nvr, said we wouldn't be able to record footage without it. Being concerned about our safety, we decided to purchase this external camera recording system. He sent an employee out to set it up, who did so and just left my husband instructions on how to access it. That was in April 2019 (I just paid my annual security alarm check to peak Audo visual one month before in March). After four months of trying the lengthy instructions and leaving no less than 5 voicemails with peak Audio visual- I decided to reach out to the builder and ask who they now recommend. They had nothing good To say about peak audio visual and that because of that they switched companies for their smart home interface installs. They recommended me to another local electric company in town, who came out right away. They were not able to access the system at all and said that the system was actually extremely antiquated and the company (legrand) no longer makes or supports this product. They gave me a 700$ quote to replace this non-functioning system so I just put it off for a while. Then March 2020 rolls around and it times for my annual alarm check to be paid and I get a statement for it from peak audio cisSo I call and leave a message stating that I won't pay my check until someone comes to fix my equipment- I get a call back right away from the owner Stefan. He comes out next week and basically just nonchalantly says that he can't get the legrand system to work and that he doesn't know why but he's going to have to come back a separate day with - legrand rep. That was April- he never came back or called back. I left him multiple messages asking him to take back his equipment and refund me and make this right. He just straight ghosted me. Not a good business man or person. Don't ever use this company for any of Your service needs.

We spent a significant amount of money with them. Once we worked out a few kinks with some HDMI wiring and our Cell booster while finishing the home everything worked well. Our issue with them (Amanda, Dan) is our cameras are not working. We contacted them and they came out for $150 service fee and told us our power cord was not working. He did not have a power cord and told us to order one. We replaced the cord and the power came back but our router is not working. We were then told to call the manufacturer and it was not their issue or they would charge another $150 to come back out and try to access the situation (which was not figured out on the first visit). I told them I would drop the router off myself but received no response from Amanda. I understand this to a certain extent but I would think since they did the whole home installation they would help us out to get this fixed. We have been paying a monthly service charge for over 4 1/2 years on top of this. We also asked to see the contract we signed for the monthly service fee which we thought was for 4 years but Amanda said it was for 5 years. We still have not received the contract we signed and have not received the phone number for the Manufacturer. I would highly proceed with caution, especially if you need any help once they complete your install.
