The pub itself is quite big, and has many rooms with plenty of seating. It kinda feels like your friend's grandparent's house with random chairs, and nook and crannies. The bathrooms are outside, and the sinks have freezing cold water. This probably isn't as much of a problem in the summer, but we were here in December, and it was absolutely freezing out and the thought of heading out to the loo was dreadful! Everyone was really friendly; it's a real locals only pub, but everyone was quite chatty and in good holiday spirits! It was a nice welcoming crowd. Best of all, there's a super friendly pub kitty!

Despite its location hidden away from the other two, The Pheasant remains a popular destination for various occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries for my family and I, or even if nobody can be arsed cooking. The reason for our regular visits to The Pheasant is down to their excellent food. They offer a good variety of pub food, including seasonal dishes alongside the usual classics such as sausage and mash or fish and chips. On my last visit, I had grilled guinea fowl, which was superb and perfectly accompanied by chorizo, tomato and bacon - definitely one to try. The staff there are pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere is both warm and relaxing, ensuring every dining experience there is an enjoyable one. The prices aren't too unreasonable, but when the food's this good you really shouldn't care even if it does seem expensive.

This is a really nice pub which is located on Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley which I have visited…read morerecently and would certainly go back again. Its very large inside, clean and well maintained. Really stylish decor and has a great atmosphere too. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff are very friendly. The also serve food but the kitchen was closed on the day of our visit so didn't get a chance to test the menu but it looked like there was a good choice and prices were reasonable. They have a heated smoking area to the front of the pub too.

The only reason I see people actually going here is because it's so cheap. But be warned, you'll be met with rudeness and a lot of grief just by entering this establishment. Also whilst we were there they allowed children so run screaming through the pub into the kitchen and out the back door. However, like I said, this could have all been undone if the staff were actually nice people. The staff are NOT excellent. The staff are NOT nice. When I spoke to the lady who was rude to me I was again met with more attitude. Despite apparently being shut when I visited one wintry afternoon, the barman was only too happy to open up and get the taps working so we could get a pint. He then stuck a few quid in the jukebox and left us to choose the songs ourselves. You don't get staff more helpful than that, provided of course he was a member of staff and not just a foiled burglar.

For those driving and not drinking there is a good sized car park just across the road. Hidden downstairs is a huge private function room with its own entrance just off Roddick Street. Its well worth the £50 hire fee and for a reasonable sum the pub will arrange balloons and catering. Both of my parents have had parties here this year and they loved it. This is no ordinary function room, with its various crannies and nooks it's quirky and unusual. Saying that, there is a stage for the DJ and plenty of room for anyone brave enough to dance.
