They space is beautiful with plenty of bags, gloves, ropes, tons of other fun things for different kinds of work outs and a giant side door that will be open every now and then. :D Aside from the space being awesome, the people are awesome too. I felt comfortable, safe, and welcomed at SVMA and that is what I have found hard to find... Sensei Dave, Danny and the rest of the crew are just awesome. I say go, go, go! Especially you ladies out there! Its important to know how to defend yourself, why not get fit in the process?

I originally started training with Sensei Kawasaki and Dave in 1994, doing Okinawa Te. I have intermittently done Okinawa Te and followed Sensei Dave ever since. This facility is so nicest yet. By far. If you want to give the kumite a rest, you can take boxing with Danny Ortiz. Did I mention that a boxers punch and a karate kick are really great self defense weapons that u take everywhere. Forever. And, if you want to get some different moves, do the Zumba. So much fun. A serious workout, but fun. Wear a good bra and be ready to sweat!! I've enjoyed this place since it opened and I have no plans of going anywhere else. Why would I? Unless I could find indoor tennis... Love this dojo. Love this Sensei. Totally recommend every instructor. And did I mention, it's clean. Just sayin.

I grew up learning Martial Arts myself, so when I was asked to drop by and watch Christian earn his…read morePurple Belt, I jumped on to this opportunity. Tang So Do is a Korean style Martial Arts but this school is no different, the values, tradition, culture and patriotism is integrated in the lessons they teach. Yes, I too learned this way at Shotokan, an Okinawan Karate and has similar instructional styles and practices, that dates back centuries. I've never seen Christian so respectful, measured and focused during his lessons here, he is attentive, laser focused and seems to be breathing and absorbing every aspect of GM Flame's instruction. During my visit, the classroom was full of students, different belt levels and skills but the most important here, is its inclusivity and highly- interactive styles of teaching. The Black Belts are also actively supporting the instruction but having them engage each other in sparring and hand to hand takedowns was enlightening and inspiring to watch. Meanwhile, I hope that they find a better and bigger landscape to teach these skills and practices to our children, they need a bigger space to be able to comprehensively inculcate the skills and talents this school is trying to articulate. Overall, I had fun and watching them engage each other, took me back to my old Shotokan days, where I would do the same routines and still enjoys watching the weapons being used and the tactics that built personal values and self-confidence of our children. Great job, GM Flame .... , I know that our little Christian has a great mentor, sensei and friend, we are confident that he will also grow into a very molded and responsible American warrior as he continue to learn these values!

Went to a competitor to see if it's a good fit and it was so loud that all three kids wanted to leave. So loud, I could barely hear the sweet young man manning the front desk in the middle of chaos. A few minutes after leaving, we got a call back from 805 to come see their place. The boys walk in, and in unison said "this place" while Coach cowboy and I were talking. He told them to take their shoes off and join the class. It was "home"... He is more than just a coach. He cares about all his students! When they fall out of line, he cares enough to help the parents get them back in line. He instills discipline, self esteem and values. All the coaches here are amazing! I'm so happy we joined Thank you 805 for making us a part of your family

My experience was amazing and I would like to share it to others as it was a fulfilling one…read more My life was going down spiral between work days and kids school. Drowning myself into mediocracy and unfulfilling dreams, seeing my life vanishing between my fingers. Broken dreams and Netflix nights were my tombstone. Until one day while picking up a pizza , I noticed what it looked to me a happy hour bar, since every person behind the foggy glass were having a good time while being punch in the neck. Loud laughing and music capture my soul dead ears again as my crusty fingers got embalmed of honey desires. Feelings of inadequacy and low self steem were high on those previous moments before I stepped in the soon to become my new reborn sanctuary and lifestyle. After cautiously observing the environment of men and chivalry between brotherhood which I once belong before on my youth, I wanted to feel alive again as the emotion were a verbatim reminder of what my ashes used to be. I embarked on this new journey with closed eyes and surrender any thoughts of selfishness as they usually hide behind self-pity and lame jokes. As a 45 yr young husband and father, I've been enjoying the taste of sweat and pain while I'm being choked out by a 22yr young buck. My bruised neck and night muscle spams that I been enjoying at night before going to bed, it tells a story or being alive again. The musky sweat of my peers crowns my new found freedom and revived my pale soul back to a colorful garden if vitality and masculinity. Now I stand tall while dropping my kids at school knowing that I can North choke the PE teacher any time my kids gets a F while I grind my chiseled, fully salt and pepper beard. Now I'm in control of my mind and body as I enjoy the camaraderie with other bald hairy bearded men like me that enjoy the struggle while give thanks for another day of Training. Salty floors and steamy sweat is my aphrodisiac as my wife tells me while she can't get enough of this new born baby ninja white belt stud she enjoys. Long live the King JC
