So if you live in SoCal, especially​ in the LA area you are guaranteed​ two things; 99% chance of a fender bender and 100% chance that you will have worries​ about where to take your car to be fixed​. I had heard good things about BL Auto Body and brought my Aston in to see about some cosmetic changes to the interior and to see if I could get a wheel repaired that had suffered through a killer pothole on one of LA's downtown streets. After Habibi consulted me on the interior project, he asked if I might want to do a color change on my wheels as well, and get rid of the scuffs on the front spoiler of my car - which bottoms out on driveways more often that I'd care to think about. I dropped it off on a Monday afternoon on my way to a conference and it was ready on Friday when I returned to town. The results were nothing short of amazing! I would strongly recommend that you stay away from these people. I brought my BMW in for a very simple rear door dent removal. After 3 weeks, which is an absurd amount of time for such minor work, I went to pick up my car. I immediately notice that there is a large nail/screw in my rear tire AND my engine sensors are going haywire: 1 for a hood sensor and 1 for an overheating engine. I told the store manager about this and he told me to come back to get it taken care of. So I left work early (again), came back and they paid the nominal fee to patch my tire (note they never offered to replace it, and the car is a lease, so I'll have to pay for that out of my pocket soon). As far as the engine sensors go, they told me to take it to the BMW dealership to get it fixed and then bill them back for the cost. BMW determined that the hood sensor had been cut, and the engine fluids were overheating for reasons they couldn't confirm. I told the owner (or whoever he is), Habib, in the kindest tone, about the damages. I also let him know that there was extra mileage put on my car, which seemed strange, if it was sitting in his shop for 3 weeks and not moving. He immediately called me, began screaming at me, told me that he is "insulted," and said (this is a direct quote): "I drive Lamborghinis and Ferraris, I wouldn't even take a s*** in your little box car BMW X1." Point taken, but as you can see, he is refusing to repair the damage for which he is responsible for. Disgusting awful human beings. STAY. AWAY. I will be suing them in small claims court next. What a horrible experience. read more

Over a year ago, like the idiot I am, I scraped my rear door and quarter panel up against the unforgiving metal bumper of a semi while trying to squeeze through traffic to make it into a far turn lane. The result: a huge, unsightly gash across one side of my beloved car. Initial quotes came back in the $2-3k range to replace and repaint the door. With a decade old car, I was almost convinced to just live with my mistake. Then, a friend, who doesn't even own a vehicle, won a gift certificate for BL Auto Body via a raffle at a get-together for the company I work for. What an odd execution of luck. I went and got a quote, and they recommended to simply repair the damage. I was a bit hesitant seeing as how every other shop wanted to replace the door, but the quote was around half what I'd heard before, plus I had a gift certificate that was going to saving me a huge chunk of change. I put my trust in them, and the work exceeded all expectations. A year later, I couldn't be happier! I hope I'm never in the market for more body work, but should my idiocy return and I find myself needing more work, I'd definitely return to them. read more

I let someone I met through a car sharing service borrow my car outside of the service time and this person hit another vehicle on the 101 and turned out to be uninsured. My car's front end really needed a major makeover, as the hood and the bumper had come off. I was out of state so I communicated with Habib a lot over the phone. From our first conversation, he was extremely kind and helpful. He also allowed the car to be kept in his parking lot at no cost for several weeks while we were waiting for my insurance company to figure how to deal with this situation and he even paid the deductible which was AMAZING because I didn't know that the girl I let borrow my car was uninsured and it was the holiday season so this was such a blessing AND Habib had a friend of his deliver the car to where I am out of state at a discount!!! When the car arrived, it was better than before. I could not tell that it was ever in such a major accident. He helped me and the other girl who borrowed my car out in a HUGE way.
