Amazing people! Been helpful from start to finish. Flawless work. Thank you Thank you!

Called a few weeks ago about a very significant scratch on the trunk panel of my model 3 tesla. The scratch occurred from transporting a bike/bike rack that I obviously did not install correctly. The scratch was very deep, and I was worried about rusting. I called Ultimate Coachworks and they were super responsive. After describing, they asked me to text pictures and then sent me an estimate for repair the following day. They allowed to me schedule the repair over a 3 day period when I would not need my car. They were super communicative, transparent and kind. When I dropped off the car I added a last minute request to rotate the tires, for which they gave me a great quote. They finished the job in less than 2 days, and held my car for me an additional evening until I could pick it up. Further, when I arrived they had it plugged in and charging for me. They clearly had washed my car, and even cleaned the windshield from the inside (something I had been avoiding and definitely made it hard to see when driving into the sunset). I absolutely recommend this company. Everyone was professional and I felt respected and cared for during the entire process. This has not always been the case at other autobody shops. read more

Freddy and family are truly the best auto body and mechanics you hope to get! Amazing service and fair prices could not recommend more!

I got a scratch on my car, and tried to cover it up with paint from online which ended up making it look worse. I messaged the team pictures, and they told me very honestly that they would try to buff it out for free, and go from there. I AM BEYOND ELATED AT THE HIGH QUALITY SERVICE!!!! They buffed it out free of charge. I tipped them for their kind honest service. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these honest people if you have a scratch. Other places were quoting me from $200-$1000+ I AM SO THANKFUL! :) read more

It's very rare that you get anything for free these days! Martin at Ultimate Coachworks not only gave me a free estimate but also showed me that I really didn't need to get my VW Buzz bumper painted. He put some magic solution on a towel, wiped the area in question and 90% of the marks were gone. Great customer service! Thank you. read more

Freddy, Martin, and Steven are the best! They are absolute pros, offer competitive pricing, work well with insurance and truly make you feel like you're in good hands. I thank you all for your expertise, professionalism, kindness, and care! Needing anything done on your car is a crummy feeling but this team makes it less crummy! read more

Fantastic service, went above and beyond as well as handling all of the insurance business. Trustworthy, family style business.

I am not sure if this review should be for Ultimate or for Manual's Auto Body, which is whom I initially called for the serious rear-fender damage that occured on our 2015 Mazda3 hatchback. Manual's was under renovation, and I was asked to go to UCW after I called the number. Freddy gave us a quote which was less than others we quoted. The whole staff was professional and very courteous. The repair was done in three days, and the car was WASHED! It looked IMMACULATE... the three-layer paint on the candy-red Mazda is not an easy color to match. I cannot more highly recommend this auto body shop... one of the best in West LA. Don't think twice! read more

Excellent repair shop. Freddy and Martin are friendly, knowledgeable and the prices are very fair. Professional staff and your car looks like new when you leave. I can't say enough how fantastic Ultimate Coachworks is! Check them out!! read more

Coachworks is a family owned business that provides HIGH quality repairs! Sabiana was very kind and helpful as I brought in my Mercedes after someone hit and dented my door. Also, the insurance situation had initially confused me, but they guided me through it and took care of most of it! When I picked up my car after repairs, they washed my car and fixed up my tires as a courtesy! Very great service... take it in. read more

I was very impressed with how Martin handled everything from first phone call until I drove the car home. The service was EXCELLENT, the price slightly lower than other quotes, the car was ready early, and the job was perfect! In fact, the way they polished out some minor scratches (in addition to the repair) and detailed the car made it look better than ever! And everyone was so nice! If I ever need work on my car again, I'll come back! (Note: I called Manuel's Auto Body - which is located at this site during renovations). read more

My side mirror housing was damaged and my mirror cap fell off. Other auto body shops were quoting over $1,100 to fix it, mostly for the parts alone, which felt unreasonable. I decided to get a 2nd opinion at Ultimate Coachworks since my girlfriend had a positive experience there, and I'm glad I did! They did an excellent job and the total price was less than $500. As a thank you for my business, they even buffed out a small scratch on my girlfriend's car for free. I'll definitely be back :) read more

Brought my car for front end repairs. Steve originally was very nice and professional. When my car wasn't ready on time by over one week, I kept calling and Steve became short and irritated. Finally got my car back but had many issues: bumper was not in the original position and OEM bolts were not used, standard gaps between panels, hood were bigger than what they should be. Lots of overspray, rough sanded and unfinished areas, bubbling paint. Brought to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and started a claim. The investigator said this was "poor workmanship ". The claim is on going still. Brought my car to a long time respected shop and they are having to redo what Ultimate did so poorly. I heard but cannot confirm that the new owners of Ultimate had an explosion in their old shop in the painting box. It was allegedly not kept up to clean standards which led to the fire. If you love you car, bring it somewhere else. You shouldn't have to go through the inconvenience and have a poorly repaired car. read more

Freddie & Martin we're amazing. The body repair work they did on my car was tip top work. The cost for the repair work was very competitive & reasonable. I had an accident in my 1966 ford mustang. Steve and team were amazing. They asked for photos I supplied them. Told me he could do the work and I couldn't be happier! They did an amazing job! Followed up with me continuously. Gave me a price and held firm to it! I couldn't have asked for a better group to assist me in my time of need and with what I consider to be my baby. Had a minor scratch on the front left , my husband took my car in on Monday, we were told it would be ready on Wednesday. Went by today as needed something in the car. To our surprise the Car was ready. The owner actually said he pushed some other jobs aside and pushed my car to the front of the line. He was very nice and accommodating. We decided to keep the Business in Culver City where we live . read more

Great work and highly trusted owner. I highly recommend sending your car for body repair.

Recently, our car needed some roof repair and spoiler replacement due to an aggressive garage door crashing down on it. We got 3 estimates from body shops in the area and Ultimate Coachworks gave us the best price (not the lowest). It was the best price because Freddy fully explained all of the detail work that would be necessary to do the job properly and it was clear that Ultimate Coachworks would not take shortcuts on quality service. Another surprising factor which influenced our decision was that Ultimate Coachworks was a very busy body shop. The other 2 shops that we visited had office people but no one in the repair work space. It was like they were just waiting for us. Very odd! Ultimate Coachworks completed the repair work in just 3 days and we are very pleased with the results. Super friendly staff and high quality repair services. These guys are the best! read more

I've yet to have any major body work with Ultimate Coachworks but my brief interaction with them was seamless, friendly and free! I came to UC as upon walking to my my car this morning I realized someone had clipped my sideview mirror, cracking the frame and leaving my mirror hanging. I quickly called UC to inquire if they could repair and for how much. They responded they could indeed repair but could not provide an estimate until inspection. Upon arrival the nicest gentleman working (totes forgot his name, oy) heard my issue, walked me back to my car, gave it a once over and gently popped the mirror back into position and then ensured I could still adjust it internally AND no charge! Again, this was a small fix but in an ever increasing expensive world, where everything nickle and dime is charged it's a breath of fresh to have someone smile, be kind and assist with no expecation. Obviously I'm happy to pay but I think you get my point (we now live in a world where you're charged for soda and bitters!). Thank you all and you'll be seeing me again! read more

Can't recommend Ultimate Coachworks highly enough. I've used them for minor jobs in the past (keyed doors, nicked paint) and was always happy with their work. Latest job was a big one in a tough spot on my 20 Macan S. Steven and his team did a phenomenal job and was I so relieved and happy when I got my car back. Thank you again. read more

Freddy is the man! I've always admired the incredible work Ultimate does--they handle everything from Ferraris and Porsches to stunning vintage gems, and they take great care of regular cars, too. When my '02 Miata was hit, I knew exactly where to take it. They went above and beyond--my car honestly looks better than before the accident! Their communication and attention to detail were top-notch, and Sabiana made working with insurance a breeze. Steven has built an amazing team and an awesome shop right here in the neighborhood. I have worked with Freddy and his team for many years, never once has he disappointed me. His attention to detail, his quality and integrity is unsurpassed. When his shop burned down, i had to use someone else, as he was out of commission. Only then did I really appreciate what a Jewell he is. I own many classic cars, and Freddy and his team, are the only ones I will let come close to them. read more

These guys are great. Did a beautiful job on a low door, dent and scrape on my car, took only three days. Recently, I had my car in for a service at the dealer and they told me they couldn't open the hood. They said the only way they could do it would be pry it open and cause some damage. I took the car to Ultimate Coachworks. Right away they knew exactly what to do and could open the hood without damaging anything. They had my wife and I wait in their office and less than 30 minutes later they had opened. the hood and fixed the broken cable mechanism. I asked what I owed them and they said no charge. You don't get service like that too many places these days. read more

Highly recommend Ultimate Coachworks! This establishment is great! I brought my SUV in for rear bumper scratches and the entire bumper need to be painted (thankfully there was no dents). From the moment I got my estimate to the time I actually brought my car in for work, I felt good about my decision to work with Manuel and his team. My car was done quickly and looks brand new! Everyone here is so nice and you can tell by all of the great reviews this is the place to go with! I will definitely work with Manuel again should I ever need work done on my car in the future. Super nice people with good energy!!! read more

I first heard about this place through Porsche forums. I've taken both my 996 and 991 here after minor fender benders where someone has hit my car. They've done a great job both times. It's always been very easy to work with Gary and he works things out with the insurance company. I just remembered to leave a review since some hater keyed my car and I'll need to make a visit again soon. read more

I wish I saved my time and went somewhere else. I came in because someone scratched my car. I got an estimate to fix the scratch and bumper cover. I decided to get everything fixed minus getting the car painted. I paid around $550 to get the cover fixed to still have a gap and not looked fixed. I contacted the shop and they said the " gap is due to the bumper being hit and that an estimate couldn't be provided for something that they can't see ". Which makes no sense since they replaced the cover and saw the gap. I feel like I was scammed for the money I paid. Update: after my review they called me to make things right. I went to the shop and they replaced the screw and the gap was fixed( after them telling me over text that the gap was due to the bumper). I still believe for the amount of money I paid that I got scammed and I'm convinced they didn't replace what they said they did ( cause how can I get a "new" cover and still feel the scratch on the bottom ) I called the owner to ask why I was over charged. He said he will do an estimate and give me a call back. Never got a call back I'm not sure if they took advantage because I'm a girl or cause I paid out of pocket but either way I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

From the moment I walked into the shop and from the moment I picked up my car, my entire experience was top-notch. It is a family-run business where everyone treats you with respect and kindness, explaining every step of the process. They helped me navigate an insurance claim that almost went sideways, and helped arrange the rental car pickup. They hit all their targeted deadlines and communicated efficiently the whole step of the way. This was far and away the best auto body shop experience I've ever had. Thank you Freddy, Sabianna, and Steven!! read more

Literally the best and most reasonable in the business. The place if you own a Porsche or just love your car. Gary is fair and was able to blend the paint so well it was less than quoted and did some extra touches that were a big surprise! Highly recommend read more

I had a good experience with Gary at Ultimate Coachworks. He got me Audi in on short notice after a shop caused some minor damage to my fender. We opted to just do a couple of little spots of touch up. You can never really get 100% with touch up as there is still a difference in the paint level between where the chip is and the rest of the paint. But he did a nice job with the direction we chose to go. I would not hesitate to go to him first if I wanted more extensive paint or bodywork done. read more

I checked out Ultimate Coachworks on the advice of my Porsche repair shop. The prior reviews raved about Gary, the prior owner who retired a few months ago. I called ahead and then drove over in my 2003 996 turbo. When I pulled up, I was met by Freddy, who told me that he had worked at the shop for over 20 years and was the new owner. I received an estimate to replace my damaged front bumper cover, front spoiler, and repaint my hood to fix rock chips. The estimate for parts, paint, and labor was very fair. I paid a deposit and he ordered the parts. Freddy and his crew did the work a week or so later. The color match was perfect and the paint is warranted for as long as I own the car. I was very pleased with the results, but noticed two very minor blemishes a few days after I picked up the car. I brought my car back and they made it perfect in a couple of hours! Freddy's son and daughter work here and the place is full of gorgeous freshly painted 911s. I plan to bring my 330Ci convertible back for a full respray estimate. I highly recommend Ultimate Coachworks! read more

My car was hit and the rear bumper was damaged. I was recommended by family members to call Gary. My car is a pearl color and being a bit older, is evidently a difficult color to match. So I was warned that I might not be happy with the color of the new bumper in contrast to the body of my car. I appreciated the honesty. But that being said, they did an amazing job. My car looks awesome. It was done quickly. Gary was very honest and great at communicating with me and my insurance company. Most importantly, my car looks fantastic! Having to take you car to a body shop is never something anyone wants to do. I guess it's kind of like the dentist, you don't want to have to go but sometimes you have to, and when you do, you want that person to be excellent. Ultimate Coachworks is that excellent body shop you hope you don't need visit but if you do, you'll know your car is in great hands. I am definitely very pleased with the outcome. Also, whenever possible I prefer to support small businesses and this is a locally owned and operated Body Shop - a real person who lives and works in my community. I highly recommend this shop! read more
