This place was awesome for a buffet dinner. It was a little hard to find but then it was great! There was no waiting for a table and then you get a clean plate at the end of the bar and start filling it up with food that you want to eat. They had salads as well as veggies and desserts. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The chicken was not fully cooked, the fish was not fresh, the potato salad was NOT cold, and the mac and cheese was not good at all. We also had to ask them to make fresh shrimp and fish because the ones sitting in the buffet were old. The catfish had a lot of bones, which made it difficult to eat, and it tasted horrible. There were also flies in the restaurant. When I walked up to the lady serving my food, she responded "yes" in a rude tone, as if I was bothering her. The customer service was just as disappointing as the food. Honestly, the best thing I had was the Arnold Palmer. I was travelling through Southern Georgia and it came up to lunchtime. I figured a nice lunch at a country buffet on Easter Sunday would be a perfect match. Surely a country buffet would be able to put up an incredible spread on Easter Sunday! I was wrong. Let's get started here... walking in, there are signs talking about social distancing, but very few of the patrons were actually bothering to follow them. Getting to the front counter, I was simply expected to know exactly how things operated there, despite my attire (motorcycle jacket, etc.) showing that I was probably not from the area. Instead I was greeted with attitude, and expected to know exactly what drinks were being served. No clue, and no list to read from, so I had to ask what drinks they had. OK, got through that hurdle. Now onto the process. BJ's does have a reasonable method for handling a buffet during the current crisis, and it seems safe. Going down the line, I encountered some very different personalities. Most were good, but it did not help with my impression of this place that the first one I had to deal with was on the surly side. I got my first plate, and sat down at a table to eat. The wait staff I had for drinks was polite and handled things well, so no complaints there. Let's get to the food. The fried chicken was probably the best part of the meal, but that isn't saying much. It at least tasted like fried chicken, had a good crispiness, and there was flavor. The rest of the plate, not so much... mashed potatoes and gravy? Zero flavor. Had to add a lot of salt to get things going. Same went for the mac-and-cheese. I have never encountered mac-and-cheese where I had to add salt (and a touch of hot sauce) to get any enjoyment out of it. Seriously, I couldn't taste cheese or pasta in that dish! How do you do that? The side of stuffing I got was alright, but nothing spectacular. Even with this mess, I still went back for seconds for some reason. I appreciate that they have signs up asking that if you go for seconds that you eat everything on your plate, as there are folks out there going hungry, but I pity them immensely if they have to eat this kind of food. For the second plate I changed things around, hoping that maybe I just happened to pick the very worst items on the menu. Nope. It got worse. I got the baked chicken and a pork chop this time around, along with what I can only assume was banana pudding. The chicken was overcooked, and turned to mush in my mouth. Chicken should never be mushy like that. The pork chop was actually fine, except that there don't appear to be any knives in the restaurant to allow you to cut your food properly. All I got was a fork and spoon, and didn't see any knives anywhere. Finally, the dessert... as I said, I can only assume it was banana pudding, because it had the consistency of cheesecake. Heck, it could have been cheesecake, but with a banana flavor. Regardless, it was weird, and had the distinct feel of being pre-processed in a factory somewhere. My final note? I won't be returning to this restaurant. read more

Just went here for dinner. Not vegetarian friendly, the veggies are cooked in chicken and pork broth! The food was not so great. It was $70 for 5 of us for the dinner buffet. Go somewhere else. Our waitress was friendly but food was just not good. Don't waste your money. read more

My family and I are there today. We had a horrible experience. We had to as the waitress for our drinks. I ordered a steak while the rest of my family ordered buffet .The bill was 56$. When they got through eating we asked the waitress where my steak was and come to find out they haven't even started cooking it. Everybody was blaming everybody else. So needless to say we got our money back for steak. The potatoes were instant that was on buffet .The Mac and cheese was hard and so was rice and biscuits. Kids said there food tasted like a tv dinner. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks not one time. Sad thing is that my daughter said the best part of the meal was the soda. Left there and my husband bought me Hardee's. I'll never go back to that restaurant and if I ever want a tv dinner I'll go to Walmart. Visited this location on Mother's Day this was a joke my family and I walked in no greeting at all the guy had a weird since of humor. The waitress was hood an very ghetto warning us about fly's in the restaurant and that she is alerting all customers about it.finally myself and I called her over to ask about the fans over the door to block out insects in a restaurant.The bar looked hideous and very few selections.The staff needs immediate up training, dry attitude,and giving 100% to produce quality food.I will not revisit and for you guys reading visit at you own risk. read more
