However, the process of getting each job done was frustrating and nerve wrecking. It was unclear when any of the work was going to get done unless I called to inquire and even then long periods of time passed while waiting for each job to be completed: put in grab bar in shower (over a month) put on storm door (took 3 months), replace broken window (months) - all of which we asked for in January, but didn't get done before spring. Then the refurbishing of the screened in porch and installation of an outdoor shower took another 2 months when the job only started in late May. There seems to be a shortage of contractors in this area- all busy with the upkeep and development of this seaside community. And this contractor seems not to have such a good relationship with the actual service providers. Communication is definitely an issue but also a lack of information and guidance by the contractor. For example, we were given a link to choose a fixture for the shower but not given any information about what would be involved in winterizing - only to be told by one of the 5 plumbers that it would be necessary to remove the entire fixture because the one we picked was unusual that way - and the lines would have to be "blown out" down in the crawl space...In contrast to 5 plumbers on the shower, the screened in porch was redone by a single tradesman during a heatwave! "The guy he usually worked with was having a medical issue". He was competent and diligent - starting sometimes at 7 a.m. and staying til after 5pm because he wanted to get it done for us. We can't say enough good things about this carpenter - hope he goes independent at some point!

They install 30 and 50 year GAF shingles. They have a high business rating with GAF, so they can offer their customers a 35-year warranty on installed GAF shingles! They came out for an estimate, went up on the roof to check it out and came down with a lot of photos, rot, black mold, holes in the boards. Because the contractor who built my garage David Carr, Homestead Contracting (BUYER BEWARE - it looks good until you find all the damage that has been done over time) did not properly attach the garage to the house, it had leaked in many places. Problems with the roof: 1) Mr. Carr never framed the garage properly for it to drain. 2) Mr. Carr NEVER installed flashing where the garage met my house. He pieced together small flashing sections on my porch because he didn't have a large enough piece. 3) Mr. Carr never installed roof vents for ventilation on the garage or my porch. 4) He butted the shingles up to the existing shingles on my house. They should have crossed over the joints. 5) It leaked everywhere where Mr. Carr attached the garage to my house. I had 2 roofing contractors tell me that the roof should have never been connected to my house the way that it was. You might think you're getting a nice-looking garage and roof, but 15 to 20 years later, when your roof needs replaced, you find out how much rot and black mold they have to remove. It is NOT worth the price you saved. Do it right in the first place. Get a REPUTABLE contractor. Bayside Exteriors gave us an estimate. They have a GAF Master Elite rating. Only 2% of the contractors achieve this rating. Their expertise in explaining everything that was done incorrectly and showing us all the rot was impressive. They had a special if you signed within 30 days you got the 35-year warranty for free, which normally cost just under $2000. If a storm blows off the shingles, they come out and fix them for free. The warranty is transferable to one buyer. They showed up with 10 men on my job. They had equipment delivered, a large dumpster, portable commode, and a dumpster that lifts up to the edge of the roof. They placed large sheets of tarp all around the house. They threw the shingles in the small dumpster as they removed them. When the small lift dumpster was full, they dumped it in the large dumpster. Another truck arrived with a tall crane-like lift which lifted the pallets of shingles up to the roof. Bayside had to use 5 boards of OSB to get rid of all the rot and mold. It was even in the walls. They had everything they needed to do a high quality job. They had a supervisor on the roof and a supervisor on the ground. They kept the yard clean so it wouldn't fly away to the neighbor's yards. Bayside Exteriors did a highly professional job. I am extremely happy with their work. I now have roof vents on the garage and porch and proper flashing. They put rubber on the roof at the back garage joint which was improperly connected to the house and had leaked so much over the years. They were done in 1 day. It all looks so much more professional than my first builder had done. I was very impressed with the workmanship of the staff and their professionalism. We bought 40 pieces of fried chicken, chips, cookies, soda, and tea for them for lunch. They were very appreciative. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this #1 company to anyone replacing a roof. I would leave 10 stars if I could. Call Bayside Exteriors. They are a step above! Their price was only $200 more than a competitor and the warranty was worth it.

Randy offers suggestions and different options to improve your final project. He and his staff are quick to respond to questions, suggestions and feedback. Evan(Master Electrician) is friendly, conscientious, hard working and does high quality work. The plumbers Fernando and Brian are also fantastic and they did a nice job installing our water filtration system and water softener. Randy and his crew built us a beautiful 4 seasons room, installed ship lap ceilings in multiple rooms with real wood beams in three rooms. Delaware Home Improvements also transformed our builder grade laundry room into a beautiful laundry room with quartz countertop and real wood cabinets. They also painted the interior of our house and repaired the imperfections left by the builder's drywall finishers. Some of the other upgrades they completed include installing a water softener, additional interior lights , upgraded bathroom fan, and a Cambridge paver patio with lighted seating wall and columns. The good news also pertains to documentation by Morse Roofing, Every conversation and all photos are documented so that most anyone you speak to can provide answers. Our install date had to be moved out because all of the materials were not in stock. Our install was over two (very long and one VERY cold) days, We had great leadership, 14 workers on day one and 20 workers on day two. They arrived early and stayed until the leadership told them the day was done. The hardware/equipment used was dedicated, in excellent working condition, and materials/trash were hauled out of here with covered tarps. Ladders were used that protected my home's gutters, my yard and shrubs were well tended to and trapped where necessary. Our coupala was moved and roofed under/and replaced. We had minimal replacement of plywood (1 full piece plus a 20"x20" piece). These men and one woman worked their tails off in weather that was difficult due to very cold weather and lots of wind. When we needed to tweak the contract to add some additional copper, prices were discussed and agreements were made. Lo and behold, a revised contract showed up in my email same day with agreed upon prices. These team members worked nonstop except when taking minimal token breaks. I loved their camaraderie for one another and their overall excellent care of our property. Because of the thoroughness of the initial inspection there was little to no surprises. Their knowledge of product install also gave us a great warranty. You won't be dissappointed if you choose Morse Roofing & Home Improvement. They are a local treasure.
