However, the process of getting each job done was frustrating and nerve wrecking. It was unclear when any of the work was going to get done unless I called to inquire and even then long periods of time passed while waiting for each job to be completed: put in grab bar in shower (over a month) put on storm door (took 3 months), replace broken window (months) - all of which we asked for in January, but didn't get done before spring. Then the refurbishing of the screened in porch and installation of an outdoor shower took another 2 months when the job only started in late May. There seems to be a shortage of contractors in this area- all busy with the upkeep and development of this seaside community. And this contractor seems not to have such a good relationship with the actual service providers. Communication is definitely an issue but also a lack of information and guidance by the contractor. For example, we were given a link to choose a fixture for the shower but not given any information about what would be involved in winterizing - only to be told by one of the 5 plumbers that it would be necessary to remove the entire fixture because the one we picked was unusual that way - and the lines would have to be "blown out" down in the crawl space...In contrast to 5 plumbers on the shower, the screened in porch was redone by a single tradesman during a heatwave! "The guy he usually worked with was having a medical issue". He was competent and diligent - starting sometimes at 7 a.m. and staying til after 5pm because he wanted to get it done for us. We can't say enough good things about this carpenter - hope he goes independent at some point!

The staff was friendly and suggested that we return at 1pm as they were busy and would be closing early for the holiday. We met Mary who was most helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. After 90 minutes we had chosen the new flooring, shower tile, sink style, and counter tops for our 2 bathrooms. Tile Market has an an extensive inventory to choose from, and I cannot stress enough how great Mary was in guiding us with our selections. I cannot comment on price because our bathrooms need to be measured, however I have no issue paying for value. We literally walked all around the store for a half hour with sales associates walking by the entire time - all ignoring us. Not so much as a welcome - someone can help you in just a bit. Or even eye contact for that matter. I finally asked a question of one of the associates who walked into the aisle with another sales person. She's answered curtly with a "no," and walked off. With that, my husband (who was milling about in another aisle) said, "no one wants to wait on you." Kidding - not kidding me and said let's go - I'm not buying anything here. There were at least five or six sales associates waiting on one customer. We walked out. I'm returning to my fantastic store in my previous home town. It will be worth the three hour drive after experiencing this shop.
