Josh was professional, with a very chill and relaxing vibe, which made my experience that much more pleasant, as I was able to zone out and relax throughout the time I was there. The environment was clean and sterile. The studio itself had a very cool vibe. Everyone seemed extremely friendly and the pricing was reasonable and competitive. You WILL laugh and joke and chat and feel like you made a friend, and leave her business sort of stunned that you got all that plus a fantastic wax. You don't have a choice. Because Kat is THROUGH. I have never had a wax this smooth or this complete. She even denuded my lower belly ("this happy trail is not so happy") and parts of my upper thighs I'm too lazy to always shave ("it's messing up my masterpiece"). She used three different kinds of wax and was intensely efficient without ever making me feel rushed. She also didn't make me feel like a fat glob of rolling and undulating lard deposits, as is so often the case for big girls when we get waxed. She asked me to hold some of my skin tight, but I never felt grotesque or like I didn't belong there. I also had much less irritation than I've had with other wax experiences, and I really like that she didn't tell me to come back in four weeks. Six to eight. That seems so much more rational, manageable. Very refreshing. Bottom line: go see Kat. Your confidence will skyrocket ... but it might be difficult to resist the urge to show everyone how dang smooth you are down there.

What's the likelihood of driving around, looking for a tattoo shop after a Yelp search and finding that same tattoo shop on a "Lark" that my wife happened upon years ago for her first tattoo? Apparently very likely!!! We happened to be in Albany and my wife said "you know, I think my friend and I got a tattoo on this street 30 years ago (fate?) We stopped into Lark Street Tattoo. She said "this was the place!!!" We met the Owner T-Bone who fit us in on a "Lark" (pun intended). Great dude. So, 3 tattoos later, she is a return fan and my son and I are converts. Just finished getting a gel manicure here. This is my second visit to this nail salon. The first…read moremanicure was average. Nothing special. Today, I came in around 12:30. One person working. One person finishing up a manicure. She told me to pick out a color, which I did. I waited another 5 minutes (no big deal) for her to come over to me. She then informed me that she didn't have the color I picked, to choose another, which I did. She didn't have that one either. Now I'm getting a little frustrated. She starts the manicure and is VERY rough when clipping my cuticles, I actually expected to see blood when I looked. Then, she informs me that the color I chose is actually 40$, not the 30$ advertised price for a gel manicure on the sign. I told her that if "special colors" cost more, they should not be mixed in with the 30$ colors, and it should be advertised that they cost more. I'm really upset at this point. My nails are unevenly shaped, and streaky. Needless to say I left no tip. Will not be coming back here. Should've gotten a discount in my opinion d/t not having two of the colors I chose.
