Withy Gate is charming and endearing. There is an adorable courtyard with a grill, table, four chairs, and an umbrella. It creates a lovely outdoor respite--as the cottage is situated far back on the lot. Thus, it's very private. Inside the cottage is a well-equipped kitchen, great bathroom with a deep tub for a relaxing soak, and a comfy Sleep Number bed. Just select your comfort number and drift off. Kris has a great selection of information for sightseeing, antiquing, outdoor activities, and restaurants. She is also a phone-call or text away for assistance. I loved my stay! Due to the size of the cottage, it's perfect for solo or couple accommodations.

River Park if just blocks away as are Main Street dining and shopping and a grocery store with a great espresso stand. From Withy Gate, any direction you walk will take you past lovely old victorian homes along treelined streets. Withy Gate has a queen bed with crisp linens and down furnishings. A small kitchen is great for making coffee and uncorking wine. It's also fully equiped if you get the urge to cook! The patio (with gas grill) is lovely for morning sun (in your jammies) and evening shade. The garden blooms throughout the summer. Come stay with us! We can direct you to special places, introduce you to local culture and rhythms, and refer you to folks who can provide whatever outdoor recreation experience you have in mind. During any season you will enjoy your stay at the clean and cozy Withy Gate Lodgings!

What we didn't expect was a place we'd love to come back to in the future because their attention to detail was just exceptional. Pros? Super friendly owners and staff... everyone makes you feel welcome Very clean rooms! Each room is uniquely styled with a name to match Can't say enough about the attention to detail in the rooms and buildings... everything from the lights, location of plugs, in unit air/ heat, popcorn machine, coffee/ tea stations... and so much more! It's a long list of what made this place feel so neat to be at So many books throughout the hallways on travel and outdoors, everyone can find something to read A patio on every side of the building and every level? Yes please! I loved the fresh fruit and yogurt and the bacon for breakfast, while the hubby was a fan of the fresh baked scones, muffin tops, and banana bread Pricing that was reasonable enough for what this place is that we decided to stay a second night Very close to town and nestled on a hill overlooking the valley Cons? Nope! Tips? Spend more than one night here so you can enjoy the view from the patios, relax in your room, and enjoy some popcorn/ wine with a good book :-)
