We had a seven minute conversation and she started to accuse me of yelling at her which I told her I was not doing. She then placed me on a 4 minute hold. When she came back she said that the doctor was not in she talked to his Son. Who said that when I come in for my next appointment I should discuss it with The doctor. (No resolution) If this is a portion the insurance did not pay. It should be labeled that way. Not as an additional line item labeled something else.

I would strongly urge any future patients to avoid this procedure. It was an extremely painful and long recovery that they do not prepare you for. The staff was dismissive. Instructions were confusing, and every staff member told me conflicting instructions. I still have discomfort, and I never had any pain before. Dr. Charles Stoianovici seemed qualified and capable, but very arrogant and dismissive to my concerns. Our insurance did not cover any of the charges and it was very expensive. I expect better quality care.

I went to Meridain Endodontics Periodontics and Implant in August and September of 2025. I was the…read moreendodontist on the first visit and he suggested either a root canal or an implant. He felt the root canal would have a 50/50 chance of success and the implant would be the best option . Unknowingly to me, i had to set up another appointment to see the periodontist in the same office. They couldn't be seen on the same day, The periodontist had a different opinion. The root canal would have a 10% success rate and the implant was the only way to go. Neither the endodontist or periodontist gave any insight as to what was involved with either procedure. That information was left up to the treatment coordinator who I would see on my third visit. After I left my third visit, I had further questions as many were left unanswered. i called and left several messages and also sent an email, asking if someone could call me, Finally after 5 days, I called again and sternly asked to talk to someone to answer my questions, which, finally then got answered. After 6 days the treatment coordinator finally returned my call. The communication with each other and the patient are poor at best. No records on the conversations I had with them were kept in my medical records. I requested my records and images they took of my tooth be sent to me. They person i talked to couldn't locate them and asked for some time to search for them. I never recieved a call back . After 2 days I called back and talked to someone else who found them right away but I was told they needed a release form filled out so i could get my records, which i was never told about. Once filled out they emailed me my records and part of my images. I had to make a fourth trip to their office to get my images on a CD. I was also told, they wouldn't send my new periodontist my records so i had to forward them.. Lastly, I am retired, on a limited incomeand my insurance doesn't cover this type of work on my teeth. They charged my $402.00 for the intial consultation, which was out of pocket. The offered no discounts and wouldn't refund a portion of their fee. I am sure this covered the office visit and x-rays, but in comparison to other who do this smae kind of work, their costs are excessive. If you would see their office, you know why they charge wat they do. I went to another periopontist and they charged me nothing for my original consultation. In this consultation, they talked to me about both options and, in the end, were alot less expensive for the same work.

I do not have the money for a crown so in the past I have had three molars pulled . This time they said it would cost $179 . As a side note I have never had a crown and have no idea what the process is . I said that sounds like a good price I'll do it . I came in and they did their thing and charged me $251 . I said I was surprised but I went ahead and paid it . Then I got a notice to come back in for my crown and it will cost another $600 . I did not sign up for 851 worth of work . Had they told me how much it would be total I would have had them pull that tooth like the others . They keep sending me a bill for $600 and I'm sure it will go to collections soon . They never even called to make a compromise . So here I sit with a temporary molar that will probably crack off soon . Also burned up my entire $1,000 of dental insurance for the year . Elite Dental never finish the job and did not offer a compromise . I will never ever go back there . I do love Avery the dental hygienist . She was wonderful and I will miss her

Let me preface this review with the fact that I had been in severe tooth pain for about 2 weeks straight, living off of Ibuprofen and tylenol. On my journey to figure out what was going on with my tooth, I went to 3 different dentists who couldn't figure out the issue. It wasn't until Dr. Dan Smith walked in the room that I felt a rush of reassurance, trust, and kindness. Dr. Dan has an incredibly caring bedside manner mixed in with the utmost professional demeanor in his responses to your questions. He took his time with my care, listened to my complaints until I was done giving him all the information that was important to me, and he reassured me with confidence in his answers. I cannot recommend this establishment and Dr. Dan enough. For the first time I felt cared about and that I was in good hands. It took Dr. Dan no more than a couple minutes to come up with the cause to all my tooth pain / issues. Their pricing is beyond fair compared to the surrounding dental offices. The entire staff up front was helpful and thorough. It was the most pleasant experience I've had going to a dental office in my 32 years of life. Thank you Dr. Dan and Bark River Dental!
