If you find yourself in SF and you want to do something non-touristy, this is a fantastic option! For my birthday a while back, my sisters and I did BiteUnite's 2-hour Thai cooking class. Eating and cooking authentic thai food with a VIEW? I'm not much of a chef but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. We made two dishes: pad kra pao (basil stir fry) and pad thai. Each person gets their own work station and they provide all the ingredients with their specific measurements out for you. They have a chef who does the demonstrations and who walks around to check on everyone. She provided great tips, tricks, and facts about Thai cuisine. The food was so flavorful and delicious. The whole experience is so fun. Being able to cook and dine with a rooftop view overlooking the city is definitely an awesome way to experience city life. They also provided complimentary drinks: water and thai tea. If you have any dietary accommodations, they are able to make the necessary substitutions! They want everyone to have a good time. This is such a cool experience and if I'm ever in the city with friends or loved ones, I would 100% do this again.

My team reserved this for a Thai cooking class experience! This place was so fun! They supported our large group (12ish people) , offered vegan and vegetarian alternatives, and used fairly simple recipes so everyone could participate! We loved how friendly the people were and the customizability of each recipe (I.e adding more pepper or garlic etc) We finished the meal with some authentic coconut ice cream with crushed peanut topping and it was so delicious! This was a delicious meal and great way to end a Tuesday! Thanks BiteUnite!

Came for a sushi making class and it was FANTASTIC. So many good tips and tricks and a lot, and I mean it, A LOT of delicious food. It's a great date night idea and I'm already looking at booking another one. Highly recommend.

I went to the rooftop Thai cooking class with my colleagues and we had an incredible time. It was a unique experience with a great host/head chef, SF views and bay breeze, and the opportunity to cook basil chicken and pad thai. Such a tasty meal and fun experience to cut up ingredients and cook together. Highly reccommend for teambuilding or a good time with friends.

Authentic Thai cooking on a rooftop in the city?!Sign me up! Patta, the chef, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and was a great host. Wanting to stay local this weekend, the partner found this experience and we booked through Airbnb. We love Thai food so why not learn to make some dishes, amirite?! We lucked out with 82 degree weather is San Francisco over the weekend! Luckily, there was also shade because ya girl was burning up! We made chicken basil and pad Thai. Both delicious and surprisingly simple! We also had mango sticky rice. Unfortunately, that takes too long to make so it was already prepared for us. Delicious, nonetheless! All the ingredients are prepped for you, so if you're looking for a more detailed cooking class, this isn't it. But she will send you the recipes after the class so you can try your hand at it at home. Now I have some ideas for new recipes. Well worth the experience!

Spent my birthday evening here with a bestie for the first time. Booking was simple and easy, and they have a lot of different classes to choose from. I chose the Italian night. It was sooo fun and delicious. We made bruschetta, two different pastas from scratch, and had tiramisu for dessert. I paired my food with a glass of wine also. There were a few other couples there as well and it was so fun getting to meet new people and experience this with my friend! Our instructor Patta was so funny, interactive , and always helpful. After cooking everything everyone sits together and eats. This was such a fun birthday experience and I would definitely come back to try another class. Thank you to the whole staff for an amazing day!

Papaya salad - Thai cooking class

This is a review of the Thai Cooking class led by BiteUnite founder Patta. Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines, and I've taken three Thai cooking classes, including one in Bangkok. Bite Unite's version was the most efficient (just under 2 hours) of these as many of the steps were already done in advance. If you are looking for a thorough, from scratch and traditional class, this isn't it. But if you want something easily accessible, I would recommend this. Patta's teaching style is a little tongue-in-cheek with a side of sass. She made us laugh by "criticizing" the plating, and when you actually got her approval it felt pretty good. We started with papaya salad, and this was all from scratch with the ingredients being ground in the individual mortar and pestle. Next was pad Thai with chicken and tofu cooked in a wok. The pad Thai sauce was store bought to save time. I would have liked to see it from scratch, especially using tamarind but understood we had limited time. Either way, the pad Thai was still freaking delicious. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice. The mango we sliced ourselves, but the sticky rice and coconut cream was already pre-made. I would suggest some demo of how the sticky rice is made. Another class I took showed us the woven bamboo steamer and pandan leaves, and that was really useful to see. Overall, I enjoyed this class and especially Patta's energetic and engaging personality!

What a fun cooking class! We had a pleasure of finding this gem on Uber Eats Uber moment pilot program. I always wanted to learn how to make papaya salad and pad Thai. Patta and her family were super funny and great people. I enjoyed that we were more hands-on than other cooking classes. They taught us fun facts and techniques along the way. We will definitely remake the dishes at home. They offer different cooking classes so be sure to check them out!

This was absolutely awesome - the food (I've not had Thai food before), the view and the fun cooking were great. It was one of our favorite family events. Everyone of all ages had a very good time. They also have gluten free. Highly recommend.

Review for food: I had a noodle soup and it was SWEET!! not natural sweet it was almost like drinking oily honey crystal tea with noodles and onions...blegggh. We asked the servers if this was normal (maybe added sugar instead of salt) but they took a sip and said oh the chef prepped the broth so they didn't know if it was intentional... no comp, no sorry, no remedy... Dumplings were standard and savory but made with super thin wrappers so not super authentic. sauce was good though. Salad was interesting mix and quite dry but felt healthy I guess. I support the space and it's classes for it's communal aspect but probably not coming here for food anytime soon

Great breakfast and coffee spot! Clean and good place to do some work. Coffee is excellent! Very rich and smooth. Deep flavors. The breakfast was very good and satisfying. Brunch was two eggs, bread with melted cheese and a full avacado on top, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Tasty and fresh salad. I'll be back.

What an amazing concept! Female-owned co-working kitchen and cafe. Patta is passionate and dedicated to bringing a beautiful space to the community. The kitchen can be rented out to chefs looking for space, and the cafe showcases their goods. Try the beignets from star chef Luis Villavelazquez and the authentic Thai food from Patta. The cafe space is homey with a large communal table and plenty of light with large windows and overhead fixtures. If you're looking for a cup of coffee, delicious food, comfy atmosphere, and great mission, check out BiteUnite!

I was waiting for the 17th Street gym to open around 5pm, so I found this cafe to visit and rest at. I decided to get some stuff when I was waiting. I decided on avocado toast and the beignet. The beignet was good and had honey cream. Yum. I am really picky about avocado toast because I can make it myself at home. This was average and different to my taste. It had a balsamic vinegar spread. It had some salad. The bread was whole wheat and toasted lightly. It was okay, but I am so picky about avo toast. Then, I saw a check-in offer and it was a free coffee. She said it was Americano. It was good. Also, this business started in Hong Kong and this is the first American location. The catch is that they have chefs come in and lead classes and presentations. It's at 17th and South Van Ness. The lady working the counter was super nice and friendly to me. Played some hip hop too.

The Story of Ramen is located in the Mission so parking was a little tricky. We got to the general area 20 minutes before so that we could get a decent parking spot. We did the 4 hour advanced workshop where we learned about how to prepare the broth, marinated eggs, chasiu pork, tare seasoning and how to make the ramen. For that day, there were 5 other pairs. Our teachers Manville and Jeff, guided us through every step of the arduous process of making the perfect bowl of ramen. The workshop started off with a lecture about the history of ramen and the creation of The Story of Ramen. Of all the tasks we did, my favorite was making the ramen itself. After learning in detail how much work goes into making ramen, I appreciate ramen more than I ever did before. This was a great team building activity and something new for us. I highly recommend this and of course you get to eat the bowl of ramen you make at the end of the workshop!
