This place is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main high street so doesn't get much of the foot traffic that other places around the corner would get; not that it needs it. Based on the number of people eating there, Paprika has clearly built a strong reputation since it opened last year.
The selective seasonal lunch menu offered something for all palettes. I could have eaten any of the starters but opted for asparagus with poached egg and Parmesan. The food melted in your mouth, the egg yolk wonderfully runny, with buttery asparagus. The main courses were equally delicious, steak & chips, seafood tagliatelle. Fish seems to feature quite a bit, but there are still options for non-fish eaters and vegetarians.
I've been informed that they're currently in the process of applying for their drinks licence, so don't currently serve alcohol or open in the evenings. I look forward to seeing this go through to enjoy an evening meal there. read more
