My experience with Bistro Buchanan was incredibly frustrating. In late June/early July, I made dinner reservations over the phone (I make reservations over the phone due to the fact that so many websites and Facebook pages of restaurants are inaccurate) for 11/19/25. The woman I spoke with suggested a reservation for 5:45 so that my husband and I could get to a 7:30 show at the Meyer Theater that evening. As we had never been to Bistro Buchanan, we were looking forward to trying their food. However, when my husband and I arrived at our scheduled reservation time yesterday evening, we were met with a dark, empty, gated off restaurant. We were left standing there confused until walking downstairs and speaking to someone passing by who thought the restaurant might be closed on Wednesdays. It's beyond frustrating because we were left scrambling to find another restaurant that could accommodate us on short notice and within our time constraint so that we could make it to our show. I am usually understanding, but I cannot understand how I was not contacted about this mistake so that I could have made other dinner arrangements. The employees at Bistro Buchanan either lack attention to detail, have poor communication or just plain do not care. Whatever it is, it has left a bad impression on us and we will not even attempt to come back. read more
