Bell's singing was so beautiful and Geston was hilariously full of himself (how he should be)! All of the performers were so good (and I know a few were High School or younger which is very impressive). Vocals on point, costumes/props perfection, choreography awesome, and we had the best time. I can't imagine how much time it takes to put something like this together... the talent! I'm exited to see what other plays they will be doing down the road. My daughter was dancing around the house when we got home pretending to be one of the performers. (The best compliment is imitation right?!) Well done!!

The group did an incredible job in their presentation of this 1950's Broadway hit. Gamblers, gangsters, show girls and missionaries all collide in this comedic musical. The entire ensemble seemed perfectly casted. The over 100 costumes propelled you swiftly back to the mobster era of the late 20's. All the voices were strong and on mark. The dance scenes were full of energy. I enjoyed the simple set they created. It allowed for quick scene turnarounds. Performances at the Hawkins Amphitheater are wonderful. Set up on the natural hillside inside Bartley Ranch, you can enjoy outdoor shows in the Nevada evenings. Seating was good, easy line of vision to the stage, as we sat rows 4 and 5 with seats 1,2, & 3. Sound was great through the entire show. Seating was reserved pre sales. I do recommend bringing a cushion. The spacious metal seats can get a hard by the second act. Plenty of on property parking. Bring a flashlight to get back to your car. There are no lot lights. Why don't more residents enjoy our local theater groups. They are so affordable and simply do a fantastic job.

The school is in the peaceful, open space of the high desert, surrounded by blooming sage brush and towering cottonwood trees. On our visit, we stopped in the gift shop which was filled with amazing souvenirs and stunning handmade pieces of Native American art. The Native American lady who was a volunteer there had once been a student at the school and had a lot of interesting information to share, both positive and negative. She also wrote her own book about her experience which I bought and she signed for me. In the main museum, another volunteer gave us a tour which we learned a lot from! For instance many of the Native American people who were kidnapped and forced to attend this school came from the Southwest as well as Nevada. The grounds are beautiful. Most of the buildings are made of the colorful stones native to Nevada. Local Students learned how to cut and chisel the stones from the Hopi of the Southwest. They taught their classmates how to build the buildings. Today, the school is a place for Pow wows and for the public to learn about Native American cultures. I urge everyone to come check out this important historical place. The Native American cemetery just across the street is where the famous basketmaker, Datsolalee is buried.

They even have a research room to learn about American Indian culture and art gallery that displays local artists. We went with a group of kindergartners, and the staff was amazing. They went out of their way to help us, read us books. And designed an age appropriate activity where we planted native seeds for us to plant. Great experience
