Always friendly service. Always cold beer. Always leave with chili (unless you are eating here). This is arguably the best smelling dive bar in the world.

    The best treat for us!

We love Bishops Chili. It is a very different tasting chili-not a Tex Mex usual. It's very unique. I grew up in the area and have moved to Texas. Whenever we are back in the area it is a MUST have. Always have a nice bowl and an Old Style!

Great selection of items with chili and don't forget to try the hot sauces and the draft root beer!

Mediocre service with subpar food. I'd recommend pretty much anywhere else in the Westmont area over this place.

Old school setting, retro cool feel. Chili was extremely bland and hot dog was tough. Worth going for the atmosphere, not for the food.

A lot of the menu is what's expected. The rest is basic sports bar stuff. Basically there's a history about it. It's actually related to the Ditka's Steakhouses that used to be around more often. The number is from his jersey, so of course the bar has football and sports themes. It's about $13 for a cocktail. La Casa Margarita is their house one. This is made with agave, cold pressed lime, Goddard Orange, and Jose Cuervo Tradicional. It's about $6 for appetizers. The French Fries are basically the only one that's any good to be honest. Has a pretty classy yet casual atmosphere. It's located in the one plaza at Ogden. This is a great place for watching games or whatever.

Nice neighborhood feeling restaurant with a full sport bar up front and spacious booth seating areas toward the back. Overall very clean feeling. Service was attentive. Initially brought out the wrong beer, but he immediately corrected when I had mentioned the error. Food wise the kiddos shared the sliders and fries, no complaints. 89 burger was yummy. Cheesesteak also yummy. Good quality food, service was great, and no complaints. 'Til next time, cheers!

With all the funky charm of those "fun casual" places I frequented back in the 70s, it's a real nostalgia trip for us boomers. The menu is from another era too, but in a good way. Though I really, really wanted a burger with Bleu cheese, I ultimately decided on the pastrami sandwich with Swiss, after the cheesiest spinach & artichoke dip I've ever had, both a great value for the price and quality. No ghost on this visit, but maybe next time!

This place just makes you feel at home. The deeply warm palette and hues are soothing, coupled with with a Märzen Style Fest Bier, it is the perfect chilly late Fall escape--especially around Hallows Eve. We were seated quicker than estimated after an enjoyable stint at the bar. New England Clam Chowder: Worthy of New England. Reuben: Would make Reuben cry it's so mouth watering delicious, piled thick and high with perfectly cooked juicy corned beef. The steak fries: OMG. All this gastronomic quality and comfort at a very reasonable price. The only thing missing was a glimpse of his ghostly lover--her. This place has figured out and maintained its knowledge, for many years thank goodness, that we don't need pretentious dishes with pretentious names but rather, ample, well prepared simple choices at reasonable prices and we'll come back again and again.

I had the All American Burger - hold the cheese. This is, IMO, the best burger in the western suburbs. Flavorful, great quality meat, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Homemade chips were excellent. Our waitress checked on us numerous times and kept things going. The food is where I have to say, this place was OK. There are a lot of vegetarian options, so that is a great start for me and my crew. Pizza, black bean burgers, etc. I think the nachos were pretty decent. One main ingredient I'd say they were missing was beans, guac, or even salsa. I guess we could have asked for some, but we didn't. Then we had a hummus platter, which came with a bunch of dipping veggies and some pita bread. Nicely presented, and the hummus was fine. The margarita pizza was decent as well. Crispy and all. And finally, the black bean burger, which we substituted in for the El Diablo burger. It was fine. We didn't leave any room for dessert as all of the above was already a LOT. Again, overall fun times.
