There is seating outside and under cover (still open to the outside air). All the wines are dry, and they have a nice variety of whites and reds, including a crisp rose. The flight pricing is very steep at $25, however ordering a bottle was pretty reasonable. We got a bottle of rose for $22. BYO food. They do offer a charcuterie option, but I recommended packing some snacks.

The estate is quite vast, over 200 acres, and you get a glimpse of the vineyard from the terrace and tasting room. Their tasting room boasts high ceilings, with beautiful beams and lots of natural light coming through. As a red wine lover, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Chardonnay and Rose. Their sauv blanc is crisp, and very fruit forward, and lingers a bit too long on the palate. However, it pairs perfectly with cheese. The star for me was the cab franc, as it was beautifully balanced with medium body and tannins. Overall, I enjoyed every single wine and would absolutely buy a bottle. Great price too for bottles! The downside is that you can only buy bottles and $25 tastings, which is a bit high although the pours are generous. The tasting is a curated to include five of their pre-selected wines. I may have preferred to make my own selections; however, I wasn't disappointed.

We were a group of 30 African American professional women who had called ahead to reserve space for a private outing. From the moment we arrived, the man at the counter made it clear that we were not welcome. He was dismissive, made rude remarks, and refused to serve us. His assistant joined in with comments that were discriminatory and inappropriate -- one remark being, "We only serve small parties of billionaires." It was obvious they did not want our business. As we decided to leave, staff followed us out to ensure we exited the property, which only confirmed the disrespect and bias we felt. This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable, especially considering that our group had come ready to support a local business in good faith. We do not recommend this establishment to anyone who values professionalism, respect, or inclusivity.

As soon as we arrived the single staff member basically turned us away. He said he could not accommodate our group (even tho our arrival was already confirmed). We tried to make the best of the stop by at least patronizing. I personally asked to buy a glass of Niagara (from the printed list). I was told all he had was what was on the counter. His demeanor was off-putting and almost disgusted. We were a group of black women. We are all professionals and respectful. It's hard not to assume his lack of interest in our business and poor service was related to our race. We all left without spending a dime. No need to be where we're not wanted.

Beyond the normal wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot noir and chardonnay there are a lot of fruit forward wines that are fun to test and take home. My wife and I had a pleasant time on a Saturday afternoon each with a flight of 6 wines for tasting. Were they all winners? no, but I say that because wine and taste are subjective. That's the fun of these things and clearly some were winners as we took home several bottles. I had to try the Elderberry - shades of a certain Halloween movie by frank Capra- and found while it was sweet, it wasn't cloying and the dandelion wine, which had, a buttery pineapple taste was very nice. So in short, if you have an interest in wine, take time for the visit. Experimenting is fun and you may well take home a nice surprise.

There pretty much is something for everybody on the menu. My partner and I tend to have different preferences in wine, but there were so many fun wines we ended up trying that we wouldn't have seen anywhere else. Our favorite overall was the honeysuckle Riesling, but we ended up liking a lot of the dessert wines and some of their more common varieties like the Pinot. Our hostess for the day was the owner of the winery, she was so friendly and knowledgeable to talk to. In addition to the 6-flight tasting, she was so hospitable and passionate about her creations that she graciously offered us a few extra tastings of new options. Sadly, none of them were available for purchase yet, but I think we'll be back for some of the more seasonal options!!

That was no problem for us, since we were hungry and had brought a pizza with us. We figured we would sit outside, especially since it was a beautiful fall day, and enjoy our pizza with a glass, or plastic cup, of their Cabernet. Before heading out, the gentleman who greeted us invited us to go ahead and check in, so we did. Upon checking in we paid the $20 for each tasting and another $16 for two cups of Cabernet, then went outside to enjoy our pizza, wine and the view. About 15 minutes had passed and the gentleman came out to let us know it would be another few minutes while the group who had been there when we arrived wrapped up. He was kind enough to offer us a tipping off of the wine and some bits of dark chocolate. We waited another 10 minutes or so and decided to go inside to see if we could begin our tasting. We were told it would be another five minutes or so. At that point we were getting tired of waiting, the gentleman was becoming testy (we don't think at us, but more at the guy leading the tasting to the group there before us), and we were not impressed at the Cabernet we had had already, so we decided to leave. We considered trying to get a refund, but the greeter was nowhere in sight and the tour guide had evidently stepped into a break room to have a snack. So much for our guided tasting. We forfeited the $40 and left. We were looking g forward to this experience, but were very disappointed.
