Stay away from this place! I spent $400 and took 6 trips to the store to try to fix a computer they sold me the same week. The computer won't even power on!! For an,additional $250they will extend the warranty (non existing warranty) and remote in to fix it! You can not remote into a computer that doesn't even power on! Bad news!!! read more

Save your money and go somewhere else. Was told two days, I had to call them back multiple times. Told them the operating system needed to be reinstalled. They charged me roughly $260 to reinstall the system. The system they installed was so old the computer didn't work. Now I have to go back to get it fixed. read more

In 2023 I had an all-in-one HP. It developed problems so I took it to them. I was advised that they would have a tech inspect it. I was given the advice to purchase an annual repair contract and for $249 annually they would service any future repairs taken care of under that contract. After a period of time, it was me that had to inquire as to the status of the HP. After several calls over a couple of days, I was told that it would cost more to repair it than the price of a new one. So, I told them to scrap, recycle it. Without notice my bank account was debited by them in on January 27th, 2024. My fault that I had not noticed. This year on NEW YEARS DAY, I was debited again for $249. This time I noticed. It was holiday and seemed like a tacky way to do business. IMO! I called the following day and spoke to someone; I'll not mention his name and told him of the problem. He said that he personally could not make a refund and that he would cancel the account. I talked to the bank, and they said the debit was still pending and that I had to wait until it had fully posted to my account. So, when it posted I contacted the bank and filed a dispute. One would think that an honorable thing to do is to look at my history and the one and only time that I trusted them to repair something beyond their abilities, that they would say "HEY" this individual never used his contractual availability and we should cancel this contract. But, not Bisconti! They deemed it necessary to debit an individual's account on a holiday and even 12 days later still has not refunded my charges. In closing I have spent close to a thousand dollars in initial non repairs and subsequent unused contractual charges not to mention buying this computer because they couldn't fix the original. I brought my iPhone 7 Plus in for repair on Tuesday September 14th, 2021. It was charging intermittently. Since that was my only phone, I told them how important it was because my dad calls me from the nursing home 2-4 times a day and if he can't get ahold of me, he sends out the search committee. It is also my lifeline to possible employment. The lady at the front counter told me that she would have the technician take a look at it and email me with a quote by 4pm. She said there would be a $25 diagnostic fee and that could be applied to the repair. I waited til way after 5pm with no email, I used a friends phone and called to see what was going on. She said the tech went home for the night but it would be $148 to repair. I asked what was wrong with it and she said the USB port needed to be replaced. I assumed she meant the charging port. She said the part would need to be ordered and that the tech would call or email when the part was in. In the meantime I went and picked up the phone to use til they got the part in. I went and plugged the phone in to charge and nothing! It would not even charge now! Before it died completely, I transferred calls to my friends phone but was left stranded without texts and all the apps I use daily. The next day they never called or text. I ended up calling "Rockford Cell Phone Repair" and the nice gentleman came over and picked it up and had it fixed the same day for $75! I will NEVER use Bisconti for anything! They got my business because of an over the phone quote that was very good. However, when I got the iPad back it still had the same problem so $150 was gone and I had to give it back to them to replace the LCD which I thought was included in the original verbal quite. It was over $200 and three trips out there before I got it back, complete with endless explanations that didn't make sense. But the LCD is still loose around one edge ~ more fast talk about why they cannot make it stay glued down. I won't go back again - The other quote I got was from Certified iPhone repair, and they will replace the LDC as well as the digitizer for $149.00. I went to Bisconti because they have been around longer but I was concerned by the sign that says "NO RETURNS, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS". I should have left when I saw that. Would not recommend! Had service done in Dec 2019 and half wasn't done. Had to go back. Advised them they owed me money - no they said we do not. A year later, Dec 2021, I found my account on line - they owed me $180, which I have since recouped. Moved to AZ and having computer issues. First, keep getting notice "one of more of your updates did not go through - contact your system Administrator. I did and they reassured me "all is well on our end" - still get same notice. Now, I am getting an additional notice "your Bisconti MAV is out of date - tap or click here" - I do and it does nothing. Called and as normal, "everything looks fine on our end." First advised me to shut the computer off and an auto update would go through to fix it. Advised I shut my computer off every night and every morning I get the same notification. Now, they are going to look and see if there is an update they can push through for Windows10. Frustrating place to deal with. I would avoid at all costs. read more

This business is ridiculously overpriced. Just look at all of the other reviews, I would stay far away. They tried to charge me $800 for a liquid repair and $220 for labor, when i asked them to transfer my documents from my hard drive to an external they refused to deduct the $30 from the $70 diagnostic they charged me and said it was only applicable to a "new computer" learn some customer service and maybe you would get a few more stars from a few more customers. read more

I went in trying to get a price quote for a logic board and they refused to give me any kind of quote until I paid $69.00 just to open up my computer. I explained Apple already did that and told me exactly what the computer needed - a logic board. The battery had already been replaced at no charge because of a recall. read more

I have had 2 iPad displays and 2 iPhone displays fixed here. All services were competitive to other service providers, and much cheaper than Apple. All of these items were repaired over a year ago, and are still working great. 1 of the iPhone displays was previously taken to another company, which could not fix it, and told me the phone was broken, so wanted me to pay for their services despite not fixing. Bisconti was able to fix it without issue. 1 of the iPhones had some response issues with the home button after the display was replaced, but Bisconti took it back under their warranty, and had it fixed within an hour. The iPads had deformed backshell due to them being dropped on corners. Bisconti was able to work around this issue and get new working screens on. read more

Sent my computer in to have some water damage assessed. They immediately plugged the computer in, even after being informed that there was water in the machine. We left the computer with them in the hopes that they would repair any damage they had done. They called later to say that the motherboard was fried and that they'd call back with an estimate for replacing it, at which point I elected to reclaim my computer unrepaired. They had clearly not run any diagnostics whatsoever, as the motherboard was undamaged. The only thing that had been fried was my keyboard, which lost it when they plugged in the wet computer. This shop lied about the condition of my computer after having damaged it, and likely would have attempted to charge me for a motherboard I did not need had I left the computer with them. I paid $69 for the privilege of being lied to and was not offered a refund. Avoid at all costs. read more

My brand new Dell laptop was hacked in the summer of 2014, just days before I was leaving the country for 3 1/2 weeks. I dropped it off at Bisconti, asking them to email me with their assessment, so I could have it repaired during my vacation. I never heard from them, and when upon my return I called them, they said that they had been emailing the wrong address. They apologized and said they would expedite the repair. After many phone calls, I finally picked up my newly "repaired" laptop three weeks later and was charged $200. The computer never worked correctly after that. The spam continued, operations were very slow, and I was able to use the computer only for emailing. Searches were out of the question, because it would defer to obnoxious, sometimes obscene sites. A couple months later, even w just that limited use, the machine shut down and would not even boot up. After going 6 months without it, I had given up. A tech-savvy friend recently offered to take a look at it. He discovered that some screws that hold a disk in place had not been replaced, resulting in my not being able to boot the computer. After giving the laptop some TLC, he now seems to have it working just fine. I'm very grateful to my private techy, and you can be sure I will NEVER use Bisconti again. read more

Don't go here. Bisconti Computers $69 to walk in the door with computer. Promised several times to have computer ready but it took over 10 days. $200 more. Finally when finished took it home and it was 75 % slower then when we brought it in. They wanted to uninstall windows and all programs to try to correct problem. We couldn't take the chance. The guy at desk said restore point could cause more probs. They also had disconnected dvd player and then accused us of opening computer and doing this. Beware! Mickie did repairs yah mickey mouse repairs. Bob the manager is the one who accused us of opening back of computer. Again Beware!!!! read more

One star is generous. We went in to get a 1tb sata hard drive for my fiancées new desktop and where told it would cost 109.99. We have looked online the exact hard drive he was trying to sell us which is not only bottom of the line but also 49.99 on Amazon. He said the 70 dollar tack on was a "convenience" fee. So we drove up the street to Best Buy where the better hard drive was 59.99. Way more convenient. read more

I have been without my Apple Air for about a month i was referred by someoneto take it to Biscontis. I did so after paying 25.00 for diagnostic quote of what was wrong with my product recieved a call that they had to repair the screen and order it. so they required that i payed for repair and tech 200.00 up front. I asked if i could pay for part and they said they would get back with me and it took them 2 weeks to get back with me. I went in and took money for them to order my part.After waiting two more weeks i called and they said they ran into another problem that the logic board went out. So then they told me that cost approximately 450.00 to 600.00. So i was angry i just told them to give me my money back because i don't have that type of money to spend because i paid just as much or more for it. So i received my money back went to UBREAKIFIX in Machesney Park. I came here and the gentleman by the name of Joseph came and got my iPad took it to the back and opened it up and realized that a screw was out of it a silver strip wasn't there the backlight was disconected. So he said to let him try to connect them back and if it worked he was going to send me on my way. He came out in less than 10 minutes nothing was wrong. It was all fixed. Bisconti's was going to get about 200 dollars out of me for what? To tell me that it was 400 to 600 for a logic board. I would not refer them to anyone! read more

My husband took his ipad mini here to get fixed after falling and shattering the screen.The price seemed a little high when he told me but his statement was "you get what you pay for".... except in this case as of right now. They told him that they do not fix them there, that they send it somewhere to get fixed, alright seems weird but we were trusting. They told my husband it would take 2 weeks and that they would give us a call once they received it. almost 3 weeks go by and i finally call them. they had the wrong phone number in the system and that was why we never heard anything from them. ( mistakes happen, i understand) So i have her my number and the correct number. While on the phone she had informed us that when they got the ipad back that there was a scratch near the bottom corner on it. She wanted to send it back to get looked at and to get fixed. I agree'd, they said it would like like new after it was fixed. not scratched up! so we said okay send it back. Another 2 weeks go by we hear nothing. I called them, no one answered ( wasn't open yet) I left a message. I Went into the store after work to pick it up and there was another problem. after a month of this, i was getting kinda pissed. they 1st informed me that the scratch was caused during the fall and that they could not fix it (okay whatever, i can live with that) but now there was another problem this time... (and this is how they described it to me this 1st time) they thought that the screen was "bent" in the middle so somehow it was touching the LCD/LED whatever was underneath the screen. to me it looked like a air bubble/water mark. I was told that they were going to try and fix it but taking the screen off and doing whatever they do. We get the call that it was ready. Great! I'm excited to finally have it back. We pick it up and the screen was on so i was making sure all the apps worked and whatnot. I put it away in the car while we did some errands. we get home, i pull it out and there it was that "bubble"! Both of us were pretty mad. Take it in the next morning and this time a different tech is telling me that he thinks it is the battery. That the battery is swelling and that is what was causing it. (where were you when the other tech told me it was screen). They said that they were going to order a battery and replace it to "see" if that fixes it. But i might have to pay for it because they already spent a lot of money shipping it back and forth. He would have to ask his manager. This happened on their watch not mine. He told us to keep it until they get the battery and then to bring it in. (Okay ill pack it up for the day.) That night my husband is looking at it and notices that the top screen is lifting up. it was lifted so much you could probably fit a penny sideways in it. Although i pushed it in, he claims it poped back out. He had enough and took it back again the next day told them that he does not want it back until everything is fixed! We're now waiting. I'm giving them 3 stars right now because i'm hoping they know what they are doing and that there might be light at the end of this 2 month hassle! I will update! read more

Stopped into Bisconti on the chance that they might carry a charger for my Sansung 4. The guy who initially waited on me said no, but a voice from the back room said "yes we do". Lauren then came to the counter and located the new charger. I asked her if I could make sure it fit as I had somehow bent my previous charger, and it would not go back in the port. The new one wouldn't either. Instead of telling me "sorry, it's the port", she went to the trouble of inspecting it, and discovered what she thought was something stuck in there. Going to the back, and returning with a pair of tweezers, she carefully removed a tiny metal piece that had broken off the old charger. The new one then fit perfectly. When i got there, they checked first to see if my old charger was bad! After finding out it didn't work, they sold me an replacement! What great service and fast! I will come back again!! read more

If you have a computer issue, I cannot recommend Bisconti strongly enough. I brought in what appeared to be a dead external hard drive that contained all (over 15 yrs) my family photos with no backup of those photos. Losing those photos would have crushed my wife and I. Thankfully, Bisconti was able to recover 100% of those photos. For that, I am very eternally grateful. Great people, great service. read more
