Authentic taste in Biryanis. And great Indo-Chinese food as well. Plan on parking on the street as the parking lot is usually filled up.

I personally love the chicken tikka, lamb meat samosa, and of course the naan bread ambiance- it's a nice dimly lit spot with plenty of seating , comfortable and nicely decorated service - the service has been nothing but short of amazing. They treat us like family always giving us a free mango lassi or sneaking in a side of naan in our delivery orders. We are so grateful for this amazing team and love coming back here every time.

Parking was aplenty in the front of the restaurant -- just a reminder that it's back in spaces only along Ventura. The decor was lovely and while the space was actually pretty large, it made it feel homey and welcoming. Our server was very nice and friendly and gave a great recommendation to a dish! The food was great - got an order of the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, lamb rogan josh, mixed naan, and basmati rice, as well as mango lassi... YUM! Everything was absolutely delicious. My only gripe was that our server never asked us the spice level for our order and ended up with no spice in any of our dishes, so was a bit disappointed. I was ready for my face to be burned off! (Jk jk) Despite that, the food was wonderful - I definitely would be back if I'm in the area.

It's one of around a dozen small eateries in an industrial kitchen building, and they pass the savings on to you. It is family-run, and you may meet them all when you pick up your order - super friendly. But the most important thing to know is that the food is excellent, the portions are large, and they mash up a couple different kinds of cuisine in great ways. I had the chicken hakka noodles, which was sort of a Indian/Chinese dish withe terrific flavor. In fact I'm eating my leftovers now. My wife had the vegan combo, which was chana masala with rice, naan and raita. All were very good. We also got samosas and two Bombay Burgers, which was sort of like samosa filling on a hamburger bun with spicy topping. The total was just under $50 and we had plenty of food. The default spice level is medium - so remember to ask for mild if you need to (I had to scrape the topping off the Bombay burger - too much for me.) Or of course I';m sure they could make it hotter too! A great find, give them a try. Lots of other little mom and pop restaurants I can't wait to try there to try as well.

It's in a white commercial building with limited parking. Best way to order is online, especially if busy. There's no seating so it's a to-go place. I love Indian food and have been to many in the OC. I've been looking for in the Chatsworth area and came across Desi Dish Dash. We ordered: Veg Samosas (2 pcs) $4.95 Crispy outside. Very good and a must try! Add a bit of the Tikka Masala sauce on it - so good! Chicken Biryani $16.95 It was okay. On its own, it could have been more flavorful. Chicken Tikka Masala $16.95 You can pick spice level. Medium spice was just right. I love the bold flavor. Rich, creamy, tomato based and a little thick. Chicken was tender. The sauce is savory, tangy with slightly sweet notes. One of my favorite items! Tandoori Paneer $16.95 The aroma is amazing. Came with red bell peppers and onions. I didn't get so much of the smoky or char flavor. It had a firm texture, similar to firm tofu, but not slightly crumbly. It could be due to the size of paneer, which is more of a rectangle shape rather than cube shaped. Garlic Naan $3.50 Came with 2 pieces. They are soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy. Mild garlic flavor. Overall, they serve a diverse authentic menu, with vegetarian options. Prices are similar to Indian sit down restaurants but may be a bit more expensive from a ghost kitchen. Most of the food I have tried from our 2 visits were delicious! Indian homestyle comfort food in the San Fernando Valley. It's definitely worth a try!

As such, one cuisine (and there are more) that fits the bill is that from India. There are a plethora of restaurants in both the SFV and the Lost Angeles area, mainly centered around Northern cuisine. But tell me, do you know of one that is consistent in its delivery of memorable, hallmark dishes? Yes, there is a place in Canoga Park, called New India Palace. They serve a lunch buffet (11 am to 3 pm) daily, 7 days a week, that is unmatched, anywhere in these environs. It now runs at $14.99 plus tax, very reasonable, I might add, with a delicious selection of mouthwatering dishes. Recently, I found dahi vada (deep fried lentil donuts soaked in yoghurt and topped with chutneys and spices) as one of the selections (never seen that in any Indian buffet). It is one of my favorite Indian appetizers. And that too, it was superbly prepared. Their goat curry with aromatic brown gravy, goes well with the included freshly prepared naan (I chose the garlic version). There is chicken biriyani, pappar (fire roasted lentil and pepper wafers), yellow lentils (their version is fantastic), Saag (spinach) and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes), to name a few. Chili chicken was okay, but the tandoori chicken came out dry, for both my pieces. Either way, this is not a knock down of this place. Overall, their Indian buffet food is the best in the Valley. And what about the service? Nothing short of exceptional.

The braised goat, and chile chicken particularly had a satisfying meaty Umami, and subtle spicing while pairing a green, finely minced cilantro-chile chutney added a touch of piquant, green herbals and refreshed the palate. Thanks Sheri for introducing stimulating South Asian cuisine to keep us from falling into a culinary rut. 4+ stars considering the amazing low price.

The interior is unabashedly Indian, and the server made us feel like guests in her home. Before this, I was mostly familiar with popular dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosas. But here, I got a real taste of Mumbai. I was introduced to new flavors and textures that transported me to another world. The Aloo Baingan (a spiced eggplant and potato dish) was flavorful and comforting. The Onion Bhaji had a satisfying crispy texture, kind of like an Indian onion ring. Missal Pav, a spicy vegetarian dish topped with nuts, was perfectly spiced and filling. The vegetable samosas were crispy and piping hot. They were especially good when dipped into the mint sauce, which genuinely touched my soul. Vada Pav was my favorite: a creamy potato patty sandwiched between soft buns, almost like a vegan slider. I'm sure I'm butchering some of these flavor descriptions with my East Asian and Western frame of reference, but it was all incredible. The Butter Chicken was sweet, savory, and rich, with perfectly juicy chicken. I scooped it all up with Garlic Naan and a soft, crispy Puri, eating mostly with my hands, which made the whole experience even more immersive and enjoyable. Just when I thought my stomach was going to explode, I decided to down a Mango Lassi for dessert. Needless to say, I had zero regrets and had the best sleep of my life afterwards. This was possibly the best Indian food I've had. My roommates, though, called it "bang average" by Indian standards. If that's true, I guess I need to move to India. But for LA? Easily some of the best Indian food I've tasted. I can't wait to discover more hidden Indian gems and expand my palate even further.

Plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. There's a fridge on the way to the cashier with plenty of dessert, ice cream, and beverage choices to choose from. The fullness & deliciousness from the food distracted me and had me forget, but will definitely try the Mango Lassi & Rice Pudding on my next trip! The pudding's made with basmati rice so that's what caught my attention. Was greeted by a nice gentleman who provided me with great recommendations. He even checked in on all his customers while we were eating. 10/10 customer service our whole time there. He was kind enough to give us a drink & rice on the house to go along with one of our entrees! We got: Chicken Korma and Lamb Briyani The chicken was in a yellow, creamy sauce - curry. The aromatics & spices put into these dishes were so comforting. Both the chicken & lamb were so savory, tender and each bite was very flavorful. The rice was very fluffy and delicious. Garlic Naan Served fresh and warm. Not oily, but wasn't dry! Every bite was soft. The garlic was subtle, but perfectly present in every bite. Samosas These were HEAVEN SENT. Idk what kind of seasoning or filling they used - I believe there were potatoes, lentils, veggies? I didn't know what to expect for the filling, but it was sooo good. One order came in 3 pieces & they were HUGE. These are a MUST if you go here! They came with 2 sauces which both paired very well w the samosas. If I'm ever craving this kind of food, this is the restaurant I will choose to go to. Best spot in town! Customer service, experience, & food all surpassed my expectations.
