Came here with mom since we both love Indian food. I'm looking forward to coming back here next time we're craving Indian food on a budget. This is a new vegetarian Indian restaurant in the Winnetka area. They just opened and they have an ongoing 25% off special. It's worth it to get one of their many combos because you get a lot of food for such an affordable price (see photos). I usually like to try a bunch of different dishes when I go out for Indian and ordering one of their combos gives you an ample amount of variety. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and it's noticeably clean. Nisha the owner took the time to come over and talk to us and we appreciated that personal touch. She expressed how her restaurant goal is for people to create memories and not just eat good food. The food here is medium spicy by default but I'm sure you can ask them to adjust the spice level on some dishes. Came in one night an hour before closing. There were two tables and one person working the cashier/serving. She seemed extremely overwhelmed. There were a few pick up orders for takeout and I was one of them. I got their combo from the food displayed in front. I was very underwhelmed by all the food And the portions were quite small. I usually love Indian food and trying out new local restaurants. However,this one didn't quite hit the mark for me. The restaurant is quite big and could host a lot of people. I'm assuming that this was an unexpected rush before closing. Maybe I will give it try another time. read more

Stopped by desi vibes today for pre movie dinner and ordered the chow mein and paneer tacos! The food was amazing, would recommend it to anyone curious about indian food and the pricing is very affordable. This restaurant just opened this week. The owner is part of the India Sweets and Spices family, so we were excited to try it. We got the pani puri and a combo meal (2 curries). The food was insanely good - best pani puri I've ever had! The samosas were delicious. Prices are very reasonable, and we'll definitely be back. Really good homemade vegetarian Indian food. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that, I believe all the food is all at 1 spice level. If you only can eat mild spicy to light medium then this food will probably be too hot for you. Don't forget the sweets. They're delicious!! read more

I loveee their pani puri......it's incredibly flavorful and absolutely hit the spot! The flavors were bold, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. On top of that, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They even came out to check on us during the meal, which was a nice touch. You can tell they really care about the experience. Extremely rude owner -- would give zero stars if I could. I wish I could say this was just a one-time incident, but unfortunately, this place left me shocked twice -- and it all stems from how unbelievably rude the owner is. The first time I came here, I was with my brother-in-law. He ordered something based on what was pictured on the menu, but what came out was nothing like the photo -- completely different ingredients and presentation. He didn't eat it at all. We asked, politely, if it could be returned, and that's when the owner came over with serious attitude. She was incredibly dismissive, rude, and made us feel like we were being difficult just for wanting what was advertised. Even though that was a bad experience, I decided to give the place another try on my own. I figured maybe she was just having a bad day. Big mistake. Not long after I sat down, the owner walked straight up to me -- didn't say hello, didn't ask how I was -- and started yelling at me about "what happened last time" with my brother-in-law. She was clearly still holding a grudge over a returned dish and decided to confront me in front of other customers. I was completely caught off guard. I hadn't even ordered yet. Who does that? What kind of owner goes out of their way to chase off a customer who came back to give the place another chance? The food is fine, but the way this woman runs her business is honestly shocking. Zero professionalism, no understanding of customer service, and apparently no tolerance for feedback. Save yourself the drama. There are so many other restaurants where you'll be treated like a human being. read more

I was a bit overwhelmed with the great selection so depended on recommendations from owner for combo #3 which was great .. good flavor, spicy ..mango shake amazing..quantity of food worth the cost . Highly recommend this spot for some excellent vegetarian Indian food! Their masala dosa was delicious! Crispy and flavorful dosa and fantastic masala inside, along with some great sambhar and chutneys. We also got Gobi Manchurian, which they made special by request and it was absolutely incredible!
