Stopped by desi vibes today for pre movie dinner and ordered the chow mein and paneer tacos! The food was amazing, would recommend it to anyone curious about indian food and the pricing is very affordable. The food was prepared fresh and came out very quick, the owner is also very friendly and recommends food based on your taste. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming ambiance.

They are very small food items. Not worth the price. I just visit today. Almost 10$ all. It's like a finger .

Really good homemade vegetarian Indian food. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that, I believe all the food is all at 1 spice level. If you only can eat mild spicy to light medium then this food will probably be too hot for you. Don't forget the sweets. They're delicious!!

They even have their own parking lot, which is a huge plus. The value here is incredible. The $12.99 three-item combo comes with generous portions plus naan, yogurt, pickles, and dessert. The portions are no joke, one combo can easily turn into multiple meals. Everything tastes homemade and comforting, with plenty of variety to choose from. Beyond the combo plates, they have classic favorites like chole bhature, dahi vada, and pani puri, along with a large selection of Indian sweets such as rasgulla and laddoo. They also stock savory snacks like namkeen and bhujia, making it a great place to pick up treats to take home. One thing that makes this place special is the hospitality. On weekends, they'll sometimes put out trays of sweets for customers to enjoy, and occasionally staff walk around offering fresh jalebis. It's a small touch, but it adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It can get busy around weekend lunch, but it's well worth the wait. My dad lived in Punjab for several years, and this is his favorite Indian spot in Los Angeles which is a pretty strong endorsement. If you're looking for authentic, hearty Indian food at a great price, Baba Sweets & Jalebi Junction is hard to beat.

The service is always kind sweet polite, and the smiles. Keep you coming back again and again and again. You can sit there and dine or get it to go. Some special tips would be to ask to have Dhal on your rice. The onion badges are spectacular. I get the.Chana bhatura every time. Of course they have a dessert section and the sweets are good enough to rot your teeth and give your dentist business. Ambience's very cozy casual and I feel bad even sharing this because I don't want anyone else to know about this place. Yes this is my eighth review that I've remembered to give, but if I could come here every day, I wouldn't get sick of it.

There are numerous chains of South Asian grocery stores (that carry food from many countries in…read morethat area of the globe). Some of them have hot cases, with fresh vegetarian food to go, or with a few tables, to dine in. Other stores are only for groceries. If you look around at numbers, this ethnic cohort, has the most locations in the SFV, Los Angeles, Simi and Thousand Oaks vicinities. Because of this, India Sweets and Spices, on Sherman Way and Topanga, is worth a trip.....to pick up ingredients, if and when I am in the mood to do some in house cooking :) This location also has a fresh vegetarian hot case every day, with several enticing, nutritious and tasty vegetarian selections of North Indian and South Indian food. There are also tables to dine in. On the grocery side, you can get some of these spices at supermarket chains like Ralph's, Vons, Whole Foods and the like. But none of these statewide chains will be able to come close or compete with these South Indian grocery establishments that are often, mom and pop joints. Supermarkets give you small quantities of spices for exorbitant prices. On the other hand, these smaller grocery stores have a very high degree of freshness, intoxicating fragrance, at a comparatively steal of a price in their products. And the smallest bag bought here, can last you for a long time. These are the places to go for superb intoxicating selections of turmeric, dried red chilies, fenugreek, fresh curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, coriander powder, paprika, cardamom, fennel, and the like. If you are fond of okra, the best quality and freshness is in these stores. They also have the smaller red onions. And try some of the vast array of packaged and unique snacks (one of my favorites is the salted fried green peas), when you're tired of eating all the brands of potato chips :)

So back to the all you can eat, ordered pakoras and batter was sour. Then followed up with dosa, same thing with sour batter which is over fermented. Infact ordered a second serving to make sure I wasn't just tasting it. It's reasonable to assume that Thursdays all you can eat are leftover combinations from weekend preps. In terms of service, gap between the servings was over 10-11 minutes, and at the second serving, desserts were brought out when not asked for. Chutneys: not served unless asked for. Everything was off. The floor manager walked over and hinted at us leaving; not asking how the food was but when are you leaving vibe. Ambience has been like it was pre Covid. Not many customers on a weekday but that is perhaps because of demographics in the area. Weird thing about them trying to kick us out was that the restaurant wasn't even crowded but maybe becuase costs from our table were maxed out. Oh yes they also had a vegetable biryani as an appratizer which was served without raita of course. Overall, the place used to be great. Maybe still is but opt to go on weekends when it's crowded and food is maybe fresh. Another thing about ownership being form north in a South Indian restaurant are subtle changes where sambhar gets a jeera tadka or aalu pallya gets vegetables like carrots and peas. Avoiding for 6 months or so.
