Service was good .. our order was taken quick and food didn't take long to come out. We had two birria quesadillas and the kids birria bowl tha comes w pinto beans n rice .. tried their passion fruit agua n had a jarrito.. paid $47 for those 5 items and then $6 for their pumpkin slice of cake .. everything was delicious .. their red salsa was my favorite .. very clean inside and several tables. Everything we tried was so good! I asked what their most popular dishes were, and they recommended The Experience, which came with three different tacos and a consomé that I wanted to dip everything into. The Birria Platter was a generous portion and included rice, beans, and handmade tortillas. We also loved the shrimp and cheese tacos. We had a great experience at Birria El Tapatio and loved getting to feast on birria in so many different preparations. We started with The Experience, which included a birria taco, Taco Dorado, Quesabirria taco, and consomé. It was a great introduction to the menu and gave us a chance to compare the different preparations. We also tried the pozole, birria ramen, and birria quesadilla. Everything was hearty, flavorful, and perfect for anyone who really loves birria. I especially liked how much variety the menu offered while still keeping birria at the center of the experience. Phenomenal food with a casual atmosphere and a few large TVs (they were playing World Cup games while we were there) This place gets busy for lunch, but it's worth the wait and I felt prices are more than reasonable. We both ordered "the experience" so we could try 3 different variations of tacos. All of them were amazing, but my favorite was the quesabirria with their delicious consomé. Highly recommend. The restaurant is big and spacious and the customer service was so friendly and helpful. We ordered a little of everything to try - Birria experience tacos, nachos, ramen, quesadilla, chips and guac. Wow everything was flavorful and big portions. The price is decent and I feel like you get a good amount of food. My least favorite was probably the ramen - a little too salty to be eating it as a soup. But the guac was delicious! We love coming to birria el Tapatio! I usually always get the quesobirria tacos or the ramen. Neither you can go wrong with, they are both SO flavorful with the consome. They are pretty quick with your order, so you're typically not waiting more than 10 mins if you order in the restaurant. There's plenty of seating inside, they also make the to go process very easy. This was my first time here & immediately when I walked in with my friend, we were greeted right away. The restaurant is spacious with high top & regular tables. My friend ordered birria tacos with consome & I ordered 1 birria taco+2 carne asada tacos+fountain drink which came out to around $15. We both felt like the birria taco had no flavor or seasonings even when dipping into their consome soup. All of my tacos were wrapped on one side of it in a white paper which was hard to pickup my taco w/o spilling insides out. My carne asada tacos weren't that great honestly lack of seasoning & flavor are my big factors. The meat wasn't cut small like there were big chunk pieces lol never had tacos like these before. Their green & red sauces were all watery like no texture in the sauce or spicy-ness. Service was great! The workers were welcoming & nice when answering questions etc. read more

I saw this place while driving as i had an errand to run. Im in San diego, so for me, birria tacos, and mexican food just hits different. I used to head to Tijuana often just for the bomb el pastor tacos. Soooo, I love me my Mexican food. Inside was pretty clean and spacious. I liked that. It didn't look unkept by any means. The service was excellent bc it was fast. Lol I totally forgot pictures, but next time. I often come down this area so I'll be eating here too. I got the birria burrito, but it was kinda dry. This place has up close parking and a private lot. They also do offer a drive thru This is one of those places where you order up at the counter, pay and then they bring the food to you. The staff was very friendly and inviting We ordered two found drinks Chips and salsa Birria ramen Fried Birria tacos (no onion or cilantro) The rice was sooooo fluffy and delicious The ramen birria was so good and not overly salty They have a lot of indoor seating. Just your regular run of the mill tables with metal chairs When you are finish you take your tray up and put your dishes away by the garbage The service was great Food was great I love the fact they had a drive thru Bathroom was huge and clean (one person bathroom) I was also eyeballing someone's sandwich. I was disappointed the broth flavor was not there at all felt like it was to watered the tacos if you pulled them out of the little white paper the tortillas would break easily cause they poured broth In there with the meat.
