I was one of those dentists who thought that would never be the case for me. So when I found that I could no longer operate my private practice as I had due to physical disability, I was unsure of what to expect next in my career or ability to provide for my family. I also had little understanding of the process of filing and navigating a disability claim. I conducted a national search for an attorney that could assist in this process. I selected Justin Frankel and have not regretted that decision since. I have found both he and his senior paralegal, Christina Panzarella to be nothing short of exceptional. What appeared to be an intimidating process at first has proven to be smooth and supported with the help of Mr Frankel and his expertise. I have full confidence in this firm and cannot provide anything but my highest recommendation for what they are able to do. Thank you for everything you have and continue to do on my behalf!

This review is far from its originally intended due date but better late than never…read more.. A few months prior to the pandemic shutting us down, I was going through (what seemed like) a divorce. Given how the normed culture of society tends to lean/favor the mother, I feared I wouldn't see nor have equal rights to raising my newborn daughter. Warren Hoffman started working for me, my rights, days before I retained his firm. At that moment I felt protected and represented- he was calm, cool, knowledgeable, no bells and whistles. I felt good going into their office and finalizing our agreement. Instead of Warren Hoffman, I was assigned Andrea Scampoli. Not knowing her name or reputation, I trusted the firm and agreed to her taking point on my case. What followed in the weeks to come was hard but hopeful because of Andrea. Andrea Scampoli was / is nothing short of a heroic, sharp, intelligent, as-a-matter-of-fact, don't F with her, dangerously good attorney. I'm into superheroes and she genuinely behaved like Wonder Woman. She was stoic, understanding, supportive but not wavering. I must say, she did put the other side's attorney to shame in our first meet. The poor guy seemed flustered and searching for pocket-change comebacks but couldn't find any. Whatever the cost, I knew I invested well. I knew I invested well when Andrea fought for my rights and gave me (and was giving me) all that I wanted: My daughter and the my rights to exercise my fatherhood. She made sure I was equal (if not gaining more) in any deal or agreement or compromise. You just have to work with her, be upfront, be honest, and she'll get you what you need (if your requests are reasonable and sound). That was all of February 2020! And some of March before the pandemic hit and we went through our lockdowns. Happily and warranted, it gave me and my suppose-to-be ex-wife time to heal and understand what happened between us. While the courts went quiet, my wife and I took the time to figure things out and ended up on the better side of it. Despite working things out, Andrea still advised and guided me. Every possible process she took care of without any pain or minimized it. One year since our first court appearances, my wife and I and our daughter are happily and lovingly together. Sometimes you have to get through the dirt in order to raise your garden. Thank you Warren, for picking up my call on Saturday, January 11th, 2020. Thank you for being an exceptional and skilled lawyer. Thank you for finding/hiring Andrea. To the front desk staff, thank you for praying for me and always being sweet, kind, and precise. Andrea, thank you for being my hero, truly. You are gifted, fearless, and a force to be reckoned with. You truly embody Wonder Woman. I am grateful you represented me. I had and have my daughter because of you... To those searching: Please consider Hoffman and Behar if you ever need such kind of help... Ask for Andrea (or Warren!)

This incident occurred many years ago when I was college student and committed a misdemeanor. I was terrified of approaching my parents for help and I attempted to keep the incident from them by going through all the legal motions alone. It occurred within the jurisdiction of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Kutner sensed that I was in a vulnerable position: a scared young female, POC, navigating the intimidating all-white Nassau County legal maze all by myself. His fees were downright exploitative and just weren't adding up. At one point, I questioned Mr. Kutner's bills to me and his response was, "you are paying for someone who looks like me to walk in there and represent you." I.e., a POC should just be happy a white attorney is representing them because in nassau county that's what counts in the criminal justice system. There were court dates where Mr. Kutner would not show up to my hearings. I would sit in court all day listening to them call my case over ad over again and would stand up, terrified and shaking like a leaf, that my attorney would be here soon. At one appearance, when Mr. Kutner did not show up by 1 PM, I went into the hallway and spoke to another attorney who was there for another case. The attorney came in and told the judge she would take over my case because my attorney doe snot show up. That attorney saw my case through. However, by the ed of the month, Mr. Kutner sent me an exorbitant bill that made no sense. Again, I was a college student afraid to tell my parents I was in trouble. Someone then advised me to report Mr Kutner to the bar association and bring my bill to them. After a hearing at the bar association, it was decided Mr. Kutner's bill to me was invalid and was for work he did not do. If anyone needs help reporting this man to the Nassau County Bar Association, please do contact me at ss2361_at_gmail. Kutner is counting on his victims being ignorant about any recourse they may have or not having the courage to report him.
