I am so incredibly grateful for Loren at Everything Birds. Today, two of my parakeets got into a…read morefight, and one of them was badly injured. I rushed in with my little bird in a complete panic, not knowing what to do since I've never had to take a bird to the vet before. My animals are my family, and thankfully they're always healthy and well cared for, so this was terrifying for me. The moment I arrived, Loren exactly what to do and truly helped save her life. It took some time to get the bleeding to stop, and we were both scared at first, but thanks to Lauren's gentle, calm, and caring nature, she pulled through. Even sweet Coconut came over, seeming concerned because I was so upset. Anyone who has birds understands the real bond and connection you have with them. I've been taking my birds to Lauren for grooming for the past few years, and every single one of them is comfortable with him because he is always so patient and gentle. I will never take them anywhere else. Loren could have easily turned me away or sent me somewhere else, but instead he stepped in and helped us when we needed it most. That kindness is something I will never forget. Thank you again, Loren You are truly appreciated.

I was grateful to find this place after moving to Florida last year. Where i lived in Chicago I had…read morethe most amazing bird store nearby for everything (shopping/food/boarding/purchasing a bird), so was happy to find someplace somewhat nearby so that i could run over and stock up on necessities. The location shocked me. I think that's important to share. I was expecting a standard storefront, but that's not what this is. It's located in like a fairgrounds building. It seems like a fairgrounds that has several buildings. It's in the last building. My GPS brought me pretty much right to the entrance, which was awesome cuz otherwise I probably would've missed it! But when your GPS tells you to turn into this weird fairground looking location, it's accurate! The store itself is huge. Which is a plus. That means plenty of space for toys/cages/java trees/food, etc. All this crap takes up so much room! So it's great to have a huge store so that there's options. Prices are a bit high. Now, i get that bird stuff can be expensive and that we're in a recession. But let's be real - it hurts. Nobody WANTS to spend $120 on bird toys that are going to be destroyed within days. But that's part of bird ownership. Plus I've learned to shop around for specific things. Here's what I don't like: the place is filthy. There's kind of a gross coating of dust & dirt on, well, literally EVERYTHING. Which grosses me out. I'm sure a lot of it is because the type of building/location it's in, plus they have like a garage door entrance that appears to just stay up and open all day long. They've got rock/dirt roads so as people drive around it probably generates a lot of dust which comes right into the store. But in addition, it just doesn't seem like they really clean much. Everything just seems dirty and rundown. Their prices on the actual parrots are REALLY high. While I come here for supplies, I probably would never buy an actual bird from them unless the pricing seemed normal. I've been in the bird world for a bit now and consider myself pretty educated on a lot of the pricing. The people I've interacted with seem to vary based on the day. The first time I visited i was less than happy with my interactions. I felt invisible and nobody asked me if i needed help and they just weren't friendly. But I've been back a couple more times and both times people were helpful/friendly. I'm guessing like any other business, it's hit or miss based on who's working that day. HUGE selection of toys. Decent selection of java trees. Ok selection of cages. Overall I'm happy that this place is within a 30-minute ride so that I can stock up on my supplies and definitely recommend it for other bird-nerds!!

Purchased a baby cockatiel on 12/10/24. They wouldn't take a deposit or hold the bird. Had to pay…read morein full. Diana agreed to tag the bird and keep it for pickup in a week. They are still hand feeding and we were set to out of town for two days leading up to our pickup date. Our family all went to meet the baby and my daughter spent the time bonding with it after school every day. We were out of town Sunday and Monday. Arrived on Tuesday after school to pickup our bird and it was gone. We were told the owner brought a few to Valrico store and he asked me to text pictures of our bird and I did. He said the bird is not in Valrico. It's gone so pick another bird. They won't admit any wrong doing. They said it could have escaped the cage and is somewhere in the store (perhaps dead as it hasn't been fed). Maybe it was stolen (there are cameras). No one looked concerned for the health of the bird at all. No looking around the store. No looking at tapes or reporting a theft of a bird worth a couple hundred dollars. Just it's gone. You can pick a new one or get a refund and leave. I spoke with the owner George on the phone as he was at Valrico and he was rude and could not explain where our bird went. Diana was so nice taking my payment and was so nice when we came to visit the bird after school was all of a sudden cold and filled with excuses on what could have happened to Twixy over the phone. Not only did they not care about my daughter being absolutely devastated she wasn't going to be able to bring her baby bird home. But Diana's husband was there when we arrived and had no idea that we were picking up our bird and was not prepared to train on hand feeding at all. He spoke English just fine until he got on the phone with the owner and his wife, Diana Then it was Spanish telling them we were crazy among other things. This business doesn't care for the welfare of their birds or their customers. Our bird is either dead somewhere in the shop, stolen, or that they sold it and just won't admit it. We got our refund. If you bought our cockatiel (photos below) on 12/15-12/17 at the Valrico or lutz location we would really love to buy our baby and bring it home. Reach out please. This business is not interested in finding our bird 8138473501 (Jen)

The attention and level of care preparing her for the flight was evident upon arrival. Tony was everyday for over a week on the phone relentlessly with me after I brought my bird home to make sure that the transition from his care to mine would be successful. Working with Tony is not for the faint of heart or for the impatients but it's absolutely worth the hustle. I'm so glad in retrospect that I waited that long to get my dream bird. I wouldn't recommend this species to a first time bird owner or someone who's looking for a "cool bird" to showcase for entertainment purposes. My personal take is that a first time bird owner would mistake the Dusky "quietness" and general still behavior for a boring and disengaged bird... Which is definitely not the case, on the contrary. Dusky Pionus or at least my Lempicka is very demure incredibly elegant, observant; intelligent and reserved. She watch me quietly and analyzes everything I do especially when I'm interacting in a specific manner with my other birds. She's constantly quietly assessing me on a daily basis. Lempicka do break into a 5 mins of spaz euphoria everyday which is an absolute delight to watch but otherwise she study me and I study her. She's very willful if I let her do her bidding but she also does understand a firm "NO" and respect me so far since I respect her. Her robe is so mysterious almost like a Baroque painting I would say a Rembrandt shining from the dark with colors ranging from muted fuchsia to moss green to slate grey to Prussian blue without forgetting that dark purple that never gets old. Her smell is delightful; like a ripe fruit mixed with a nutty moss like moisture. Lempicka is perfect. I'm working on training her and me and I will always be grateful for Tony and his tenacity to understand how lucky every single of his customers are to be able regardless the hight price tag to be the guardian of one of his baby Dusky Pionus. PS: This is not my legal name but I am a real person.
