On my way home I call and the same person Steve answers, he casually laughs and admits he should have let me try the clubs in one of the rooms and should have probably made sure the order was correct. I ask him for a build sheet and see if he can email it, says he will ask Jesus to send it over.. well it's been 4 days now, I called... again no answers. I've shown up a couple times for a pre-scheduled practice session only to find a "we're closed today" sign on the door. I love the online scheduling app/technology, but it doesn't make up for the lack of quality instruction or the issues they have in the store. The the price I'm paying, I won't repeat.

He looked at us like we had 4 heads and proceeded to tell us that she shouldn't have come if she hadn't done it before and he would have to ask the instructor if she could...instruct... my mother (who is in great shape and shouldn't have trouble picking up reformer) - his reasoning: "there are 9 people and that's a lot". I don't think I have felt less welcome in a Pilates studio and I live in LA. Normally people with injuries and at various levels of their fitness journey are welcome. We walked in and my party of 3 was half of the entire room. Luckily the instructor was gorgeous, and amazing, and sweet, and instructed us with ease. Overall the class was good and at the end, the manager ended up giving us a discount - perhaps he could tell how offended I was? Or felt badly? Or maybe he decided to be nice at the end and didn't realize how he came across when we arrived? Regardless, this place IS worth attending, but hopefully this review is read and the manager/owner can make people feel more welcomed in the future.

Here's the short version : It really really works and I am thrilled with the treatment, the process and Stephanie. The details; In spite of a very clean diet and regular workouts, I was not able to lose weight gained a few years ago. This treatment is really not about weight loss, it 's about losing inches that so far have not come back. The treatment name sounded like dry ice and freezing, but it's more like a lovely massage that is warm and cold. It's so relaxing that I can't really describe it more than that. The reason I felt compelled to write about it today is that this morning for the first time I looked in the mirror and saw the frame of a body I liked, not a lumpy potato bod. I lost 5 inches in 5 treatments.. and am signing up for more! The facials deserve their own 5 star review and so does Stephanie. The staff were wonderful from the start. We finished with 4.5 hours so the pace was decent. Afterwards we ate at the clubhouse and the steaks were great!! Wanting to try their burgers as that is only available during lunch and Wednesdays (I think?) Overall great experience, we're looking forward to playing the Ocean Course next.

Cathy and Marcella, who teach the small fitness classes, are amazing and the best cheerleaders you could ask for! I also love the sense of community and seeing the same friendly faces every week while becoming stronger and feeling better about myself. The instructors are always checking your form during the exercises and make sure you get the most out of your workout. They also tailor the exercises to your strength or any limitations you may have. Having an owner who is -la physical therapist is a huge plus for a gym and you can tell based on the instructors he chooses. For me personally I couldn't have asked for a better gym after years of not working out. I highly recommend Fit Studio Danville!
