The amount of books in this store was unbelievable, and the variety was great. They have some bookmarks and trinkets for sale as well. At the back of the store was two little boys reading books. That was a nice sight for a sore eye. Seems like this is a very busy and popular gem in the middle of downtown Acworth. They host events like game nights, so check their website. This store is really worth the visit. I had the pleasure of talking to Stasey, the owner, she was super nice while answering my questions about what books I could sell or trade. This store is worth a visit. Maybe on my next visit, I will be introduced to the cat.

You can negotiate the price but so far when they've thrown a price at me I was happy to pay what they asked. They sell comic books, games, puzzles, DVDs and more. The shop is off Allatoona Gateway (used to be Glade Road) - behind Taco Bell, Pizza Hut & KFC. Plenty of parking - the shopping center is not usually busy. The owners are friendly, fun and helpful.

It's located in downtown Acworth in a building that can be dated back to the civil war...I believe parts of the building has been rebuilt but the ceiling I think is original... The bookstore covers mainly the civil war, WWI, WWII. The owner was very knowledge about not only the history of Acworth and Marietta but also has an encyclopedic knowledge of WWII...it was fun chatting with him. They carry lots of books and art works by local author...in fact when I was there I met one of the local artist who has several of his paintings hanging in the bookstore. They also feature locally roasted coffee in their cafe....very cool.

We took our time and wandered around. You can easily lose track of time. There are a few staff members up front that will help with any questions. They don't have an itemized inventory but they can point you in the right direction. I would definitely recommend this place.

Overall the layout makes sense and it's easier for me to bring the kids here than pay full price at B&N down the street and the experience is pretty comparable. I also like that you can call them and ask that they hold a book for you- great for Moms running low on time who need to get a book for their kids school project or required reading (speaking from experience here). The only con I will mention is what others have mentioned as well. Don't come here with books to sell assuming you'll get a lot of money for them. Come here with the books you were going to donate anyways. I do wish they had a better trade in program.

I did not really see the variety of books in the store because I focused on the cart outside of the door, which mostly had children's books. It is a great opportunity to purchase a useful gift, to give your kids a shopping break and to indulge your own interests. Although small, it still has many books and various items of interest available. My eyes locked on the calendar section because I love the daily calendars, (trivia, history, words, jokes etc). They are just very interesting or very entertaining. New additions include, people of Walmart and signs that you would see outside of churches. I opted to purchase the "Don't sweat the small things" calendar which will hopefully keep me focused on what's important and help me to better manage times of stress. It is a welcome addition to my tool box of ideas to help me live a more positive and calm existence in 2016. I also purchased one for my daughter who as a college student will definitely appreciate having a tool to help her deal with everyday stresses and concerns. Encouraging words are always appreciated especially for those of us who may get "stuck" and ruminate instead of moving forward.

This is quite the hidden gem of a bookstore in Atlanta! This place feels very cozy and calming. There are countless books throughout the entire store sorted by genres. The store almost transports you back in time, because there are sooooo many older and vintage copies of books. They even have some signed books for sale too! I saw a Dr. Seuss booked that was signed by the man himself...pretty cool if I do say so myself! The signed copies vary, but definitely take a look when you're there! It would make a super cool gift for someone. Another cool thing, is that they have 2 store cats! You will most likely find them by the front desk with the employees. One was napping when I came and the other was sitting right by the desk. The books all vary in price. It kinda just depends on what you get. I'll definitely be back in the future to take a further look!
