I bring my two little kids here! We love it!! My kids love the play area and the cute little fish tank! The staff and doctors are super friendly! I love the different options that are given for treatment because it can be tough for my 2 and 4 year olds to get fillings!!! And probably is even harder for me as a mama! My child was over sedated for her procedure. She is 4 years old and only 30lbs. She was given versed, ketamine, and vistiril. The hygienist brought her to me after her procedure and said that she should start becoming aware and responsive after 15-20 min. I waited 30 min, she was still laying back in my arms with her eyes glazed over, non verbal/non responsive. I waited another 30 min and had to walk out of the room in to look for someone to check on her. Not once did they check her vitals after her procedure, the nurse anesthetist tried to convince me she was fine. Thankfully my husband showed up at that point and he immediately said that we need to call 911. He asked if they could call 911 and the staff said that wasnt necessary. So WE called 911 and she was brought to the hospital. She didn't become responsive until 3 HOURS after her procedure. She is home now, but she still is unable to walk or stand without falling down. I wish this didn't happen to my baby girl, so I'm at least posting this as a warning to hopefully prevent another child from going through the same thing or worse.​ read more

I have been going to Bippo's since I was a child and decided to bring my children. we have never had a problem until recently. I was told my child had an appointment for a cleaning when in fact that wasn't what happened. They performed a cosmetic procedure on one of my child's front teeth. She had two white spots on both front teeth and they did one. They were told not once but twice by me that I did not want the procedure done and they did it anyways. When confronted about it they said "well its like a cleaning" and " oh the person that you told that to no longer works here." and "We will ask dr. Daniels if she will do the second tooth at no cost so the teeth can match" and then came back and said no they wouldn't. I've heard many people complain about them but stayed anyways. I am now finding another dentist for my kids. I have spent too much money with this company to get treated like this. They perform unwanted procedure so they can charge you. They don't care about their customers and I'm finally seeing that. If you can find another dentist for your family. read more

We've being coming here since my son was able to start going to the dentist. Nice staff, friendly people. But they said my son had a cavity and need to be put on sedation. I agreed. We rescheduled the procedure 3 times because the said " Medicaid " kept messing up something with the paper work. I finally took him to a different dentist. They said there was no cavity and didn't understand what they were trying to do! That's probably why Medicaid wouldn't accept. They just want to do unnecessary procedures in my opinion. read more

I was band from being with my granddaughter. They said I disrupted the last procedure. She had seen the dentist 6 months ago. She is 7. This visit was for a cavity. Turned out to be a crown. He went so deep. He hit the nerve root. The dr fused at the nurse. I have gone with her several times. With no problem. She took it better then my other grandchildren. They wanted to strap my other down. To work on her. Plus they said I would have to pay extra for strapping her down. I kept her calm and everything went great. I would never never send them in alone. Some of the male drs are sadistic. Never send them in alone. read more

The bippos place was amazing. My son is autistic and they accommodated him fully they listened to my concerns and they were very delicate with him as to not traumatize him. Couldn't have been more grateful for our first dentist visit! read more

The waiting room at Bippo's is a child's dream, the have a giant play area for the kids, a teen room and video games. The staff is always polite and courteous. The dental assistance are never scary and know how to speak to kids. Dr. Heidi is AMAZING! She is great at calming fears and using words that kids understand. We love Bippo's!!! read more

4 Year old had 4 crowns put on. One feel off within a month and during the visit the Doctor said that we need to pull 3 of the 4 now that were just crowned in the past 3 months because of the infection. II do not understand why they did not know they had to be pulled before we started the crown process 2 months earlier. Of course, they charged me for putting on the crowns and then extracting the teeth. While I am not a denist, someone dropped the ball BIG TIME. I would never recommend them. RUN read more

I took my son here for his first dental check up. I wasn't looking forward to it. It's a very welcoming environment for children with a beautiful entrance and play area. There's a fish tank, a train going around above you, computers and two play areas. The people working there are great at what they do and make the experience as pleasant as possible for the children. read more

My daughter went in to get a cracked sealant fixed, I was told that they were guaranteed and there wouldn't be a cost. THEN the time came to get it fixed, the cost was $60 (minus $43 for the original sealant) When I questioned this I got 3 different stories from 3 different people, first person it was a cracked sealant and needed to be fixed and shouldn't be costing us anything but she was going to check, the next person who got on the phone said, it was "starting" to form a cavity which is why it was going to cost but I could talk to the billing department, the third person, it was a full blown cavity and I was still being charged at the discounted rate as a courtesy. I told them that if it was a cavity that she can only receive a resin filling as she has a vaccine injury with a heavy metal injury and can't have the amalgam filling due to a vaccine injury and she cannot have any heavy metals in her body. She argued with me and I told her I didn't care if there was an extra cost I still didn't want it in her body. She said she would make a note of it.... low and behold they still put the amalgam filling in her tooth. ON TOP OF THAT they held her down as she was screaming for her daddy. She is now terrified of the dentist, in 8yrs she has never had a problem. I will NEVER bring my children back here and I will make sure that everyone knows how horrible this place is. read more

It's been almost 6 months but I would like to still comment about this traumatizing and very negative experience. As a first time dad taking my 3 year old son to the dentist, I was probably just as nervous and excited as my son was. For whatever reason, my son didn't even want to get out of the car or out of the parking lot once we got to the Bippo's Pediatric dentist off of Gause Blvd in Slidell. Needless to say, he had a lot of anxiety before even going into the office. Once I finally calmed him down and coaxed him in, he was interested in the aquarium tank and the different paintings on the wall. After waiting for 30 min and watching more and more patients pile in we were called to the "cleaning" room. The technicians there were friendly and patient for the most part. There were 3 other kids w/ their parents in the room simultaneously cleaning their teeth. The doctor then calls them in one by one to check their children's teeth. We waited about 20-25 min for our turn (which feels like an hour with a 3 year old). My son became more and more anxious as we entered the doctors office. Once the doctor realized my son was not going to cooperate, she walked him over to another office away from the kids, closed the door, put his head on my lap while the technician and I held him down and she used her palms and fingers to force my sons mouth open for an inspection. After a minute or two, she finished and left. The whole operation and experience was very impersonal and traumatizing. I felt bad as a dad. I don't recall ever having such a bad experience as a child w/ our family dentist. I admit it was scary but the dentist was always friendly and bubbly to make light of the situation. That was definitely not the experience for my 3 year old son...And that was the last time I took my son there. We recently took him to another dentist who worked with him. The dentist took their time with my son and once they realized he was at that breaking point, they went ahead and just said we can check again next time. We definitely felt like a name and not a number (more than what I can say about Bippos)! read more
