As you can imagine, vegetarian restaurants are not my favorite places. But since I'm not sectarian,…read moreI have to test everything. Let's go for a working lunch with Laurence Bellissen, the boss of Délices Corner, a promising young catering company. Then, please excuse me in advance, but for the sake of simplicity, I will put in the same bag vegan and vegetarian. This will save me from subtle distinctions and explanations for Neanderthal spirits. The window had been destroyed. Perhaps out of revenge for some butchers vandalized by vegan extremists ... No, I joke. First of all I would like to point out to our vegetarian friends that it is not because they say they are cool, in agreement with nature and all that stuff that we must neglect the general presentation. So, it's fun slate school board but also enjoy it so that it is pretty well written. As for the menu typed quickly on the computer, with a layout worthy of five-year-old child and slipped into a plastic interlayer antediluvian, we do not even talk about it. I will not go into a description of all the dishes but you make a summary: the elements are overall good, well cooked. We will simply note a great lack of knowledge of a category of products that are vegans though: spices! Indeed, all dishes are singularly lacking in tone. Everything is pretty bland. I will say that it is to rediscover the original taste of the vegetable, but hey, in this case, I can do it all myself, with or without CAP (NVQ). Note the hint of humor on the burger. But if humor is the spice of life, it is not enough for the plate. Bill of 40 euros for 2.

No flavour. Papaya Salad was sweet and just watery--wrong and disappointing. Broccoli Vegetable Stirfry was tasty but it came out first and then I had to wait over 20 minutes for anything to eat it with. No rice, no noodles came that we had ordered until the Broccoli Stirfry had gotten cold. Terrible timing. Instead of coming over to ask how everything was, the owner who took our order just avoided eye contact the entire time I was waiting and not eating. The Beef Curry was watery with absolutely no developed flavours. The Singapore Vermicelli when it finally came was excellent. It was so much like I remember pre-vegan and I didn't miss the egg at all. This is a very hard dish to find anywhere vegan with the same flavour I expect so I will miss being able to have this! The Sticky Rice was good when it finally arrived. It captured the smoky banana-leaf flavour well and the rice was just sticky enough with the right amount of little bits that were sweet, nutty, salty and slightly tangy. We were ushered to a tiny table that did not fit all our food so this made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. They wrapped the spring rolls in a bag to create more space afterwards but didn't put the spring rolls in anything, just literally stuck them in a plastic bag. Disappointing.
