My friend just moved into the neighborhood and said this place was somewhere that she's been meaning to go and my birthday was just the excuse we needed. The shop is very small so just know if you do go with a larger group you might have to take turns going down some of the aisles if you really want to focus on what is on the shelves. And if you do have sensitivity to scents, I would suggest not coming unless you wear a mask. Towards the end of the time that we were there I had to step outside because I was starting to get a little headache and I don't really have a huge problem with scents. So the good thing is is that you are able to smell any of the scents that they have on the wall . The wall is divided by imported scents versus non-imported ones. I got two imported vials, one of Jasmine and one of a mixed oil and then one lemongrass non-imported one. I was also able to pick up some burning charcoal and some resin that is house clearing resin. I did pick up a little bowl to burn it in. With the purchase I did get a free box of incense sticks. Which I thought was very nice. So if you're looking for some new smells in your life or you would like to do clearing of your apartment or house, this is the place to go!

Her curriculum included information on the elements of creating a fragrance (base, heart, and top notes), and we spent time smelling different materials from olfactory families such as citrus, spices, florals, and rustics. The class was originally two hours, but we went over because Julia let us smell a few synthetics and some of the scents she was working on. Overall, it was super fun and a great learning experience! Also, I visited her again in her studio to purchase her fragrance Chakra. It's definitely my favorite scent, and I'm going to have to order another bottle soon...or just order a custom fragrance since she's so good!
