Really wanted something sweet with fruit after lunch and found this spot on Yelp. I came here with one other person on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. From the outside it almost looked closed but when we walked in we were instantly greeted by a nice guy and lady from behind the counter. I liked that they had photos displayed of all their menu items. They have sweet and savory items. I got a bionicos and the person I came with got their frescas con crema. Both came in a large plastic bowl ready to go but we decided to eat it there. My bionico had papaya, strawberries, apples, cantaloupe, coconut, granola and raisins. It was pretty good but I did wish it had a little more cream. I enjoyed it and it was a large portion. The staff was really nice and the items came out fairly quick. All the fruit were sweet and tasted fresh. I do want to come back and try their other items. The inside is very casual and has maybe two tables and some bar seating. I was in the mood for a raspado and just so happened to pass by this spot and decided to stop and grab one. My go to order for any raspado is a vanilla one with lots of lechera (sweet condensed milk) and it did not disappoint. The girl behind the counter super nice and very quick with my order. Before stopping in I had no idea they offered so many different snack options but now I know for whenever I'm craving other things. Got the mangonada and a fresas con crema. Super mid and overpriced for $22... The actual helado in the mangonada hardly had any flavor, the chamoy and candy was the only reason it was ok. The fresas con crema was the worst though. The crema was SUPER thick and there was practically NONE in it. It was closer to drizzled strawberries and nuts than actual fresas con crema. When we saw this, we immediately asked for them to add some more, and they said we'd have to pay for "extra crema." Not sure why it would be even more expensive to add the amount of crema that SHOULD have come with. Also, just noticed they didn't even give any of the galletas that is supposed to come with it. Wouldn't recommend so save your money !!! read more

The fresas con crema is just okay. The first time I got it was just okay. It didn't take too long to make and there was enough crema. There could have been more but it was fine. The second time it took 40 minutes to make. I paid extra for more crema but there was more on there last time. They also put these horrible bland cookies on the top. When I got there the fruit had been sitting out and all the crema went to the bottom. They shouldn't have said such a long time, regardless if they are busy or not. If they charge extra for something they should also put more on. Not a little more, a lot more. I couldn't even tell anyway, so disappointing. The price is also too high. No way should it be almost $10. The crema wasn't that sweet and tasted average. Initially my family and I wanted a raspado from our local Pico Union vendor but after walking to his spot and realizing that today afternoon he was not there due to ICE raids, we decided to walk in to Biónicos Daisy for a treat. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't as friendly as I would have expected. My family and I ordered some regular fresas con cream, some fresas Dubai and a pepino loco. With all due respect, their prices are a little over the top for what we received. First of all the fresas con crema, we're just that. No granola, no cereal no nothing. They tasted plain. Then the Dubai strawberries were not as tasty either as other places where we have had from and the flavor of chocolate was not tasty at all. They only have one size of Dubai strawberries and I'm not even joking, I think I counted 5 whole strawberries in that tall cup. The pepino loco was a little stale tasty too, like when fruit has been cut and left out for some time. We were charged $65 for 4 items and quite frankly we won't be back. I understand inflation and supporting small businesses during these hard times but when the employees don't even make one feel welcome, it takes away a lot from me as a consumer because we also can't afford to just throw away money like that. Finally, the waiting time was probably 30min because what was being prioritized while we were there waiting was Uber eats and DoorDash orders. We were able to see that not many personal was able to assist with orders at least the time my family and I were there. Again, not trying to decrepit this spot, I'm just hoping this is more of a constructive criticism for better service to other consumers. read more

As I'm writing this review, my mouth is watering because of Bionicos Daisys' amazing chamango. The small shop, located around the corner from King Taco, makes the best chamango I've ever had. Fresh mango and ice are blended until smooth, poured into a large cup and layered with chamoy and chile limon. As if that weren't enough, this over the top drink is garnished with fresh mango slices skewered on the straw and topped with more chamoy and chile limon. The sweet, salty, sour flavors are perfectly balanced and so refreshing. At $5.50/chamango, it's worth every penny! I haven't tried any of the other drinks or food items but they all look so good that I can't wait to work my way through the menu. The day I visited, the shop was packed with customers all enjoying a variety of drinks. Definitely a good sign in my book! Hot weather reliever! I had been here a few other times and not until recently I remembered about it. This shop is located on pico and alvarado(about a block west of Alvarado to be exact). The shop itself is small but their options here are plenty. They have options for everyone's taste. Ice cream, raspados, smoothies, or snacks. I usually get the raspados and they are so good. Prices are also not bad and sizes are very good. The location of this shop isn't in a bad neighborhood but it is also not easy area plus parking can be a bit of a challenge. The staff here was helpful and nice. Usually does take a little time to get your selection but because they make everything fresh and from scratch.
