The person at the front wasn't that welcoming, understanding, or helpful. My parents were visiting from out of town and are members of f45 but were having issues with their app to sign in and they could honestly careless. As someone who loves doing Solidcore and other group fitness classes, I was excited about trying out F45 today. We chose this particular location because of the location and I wanted to see if this would be something I could add into my weekly routine and possibly get a membership. My in-laws who are long time members in Houston for the last 9 years have talked about it and really advocated for it being the best workout gym for the longest time, so we jumped on it and signed up. Unfortunately, my father in-law's app was not able to work but he was able to book my mother-in law on her app. As a family who has a background in hospitality, sales, and healthcare and have been in these different fields for many years, we were very disappointed with our first 5 minutes of interaction. We understand the type of attitude and people who can keep a business successful and will drive clients back into the studio. When we first entered into the building and told the front desk it was my husband and I's first time ever in an f45 studio, the front desk associate was not welcoming whatsoever. She was abrupt and had a very dry personality. We filled out our waivers and waited for my father in-law to come in from parking the car. My father in-law explained the situation and she was not empathetic or accommodating. I do get it rules are rules. It was an app issue. However, it could have been handled differently. It was the combination of her attitude and not being able to be empathic which was our biggest disappointment. An alternative way that could have been addressed would be like "I am sorry you went through that. Unfortunately, it was an app issue and we do have a policy here. Here is a solution..." We would have been like okay we get it. Things happen. Lastly, you are the first person, a client sees when they enter your business. You have to act like you want our business. I am not the type to write reviews to bring down someone's business, but it was such a big disappointment.

Can't say more good things about the work the team does here. Ryan has put together an incredible…read moreteam and helped me identify what my goals were up front. He's program includes an easy to follow eating program that genuinely creates good habits without throwing how you want to eat on its head. He provides different recipes for different meals to help get you started or find ways to fix that sweet tooth craving. The workouts are amazing and kick my butt. In just a month, I've notified a considerable difference in how I look and can't wait for my workouts with bri. If you're looking to loose weight, put on muscle, start healthy eating habits, or have someone help keep you accountable, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH RYAN AND HIS TEAM!

However, my partner did not think it was fiscally responsible to pay $800 for 6 week challenge right now, but next month would work. When I informed Ryan that I cannot make the commitment "right now" but will love to join "later". His response was "we don't do be backs" and ignored my message about returning. I am left to assume that I am no longer able to join the gym at any time in the future so, I want to say if you're not absolutely sure you can spend the money, do not go to this place. As a fellow business owner, this could have been handled better and with more decorum.

What I didn't realize I was missing was the energy that comes from being surrounded by people pursuing health, wellness, growth, and recovery. What sets Life Time apart is that it isn't just a gym. It's an ecosystem built around helping people become the healthiest version of themselves. One day I may run laps on the indoor track. Another day I may focus on strength training, core work, boxing, stretching, or recovery. There are machines and training areas for every fitness level and every goal imaginable. Treadmills, weights, functional fitness spaces, recovery tools, massage chairs, stretching equipment, steam rooms, hot tubs, infrared saunas, traditional saunas, cold recovery spaces, and more. And yes, there are televisions everywhere filled with sports. Lots and lots of sports. The atmosphere is contagious. You are surrounded by people investing in themselves, challenging themselves, and pursuing healthier lives. One of the lessons I recently wrote about in my article Dynamic Stretch + Recovery is that growth doesn't happen during the workout alone. Growth happens in the recovery. Muscles strengthen when they are challenged and then given time to rebuild. The same is true in life. The best leaders understand this. The healthiest people understand this. Strong performance requires intentional recovery. Life Time has reminded me of that truth. For me, the traditional sauna has become a favorite place to reflect, pray, recover, and simply be still. It is often in those quiet moments that I find clarity, gratitude, and perspective. What has surprised me most is how much our entire family loves it. My daughter is having a blast with the pools, water slides, and activities. The outdoor beach club atmosphere, music, and weekend events make it feel more like a resort than a gym. My husband has found a place to exercise, stay active, and invest in his health as well. We joined thinking we were purchasing a fitness membership. What we found was community, family experiences, wellness, recovery, inspiration, and joy. In a world that constantly tells us to do more, Life Time reminds us that our health, our families, and our well-being are worth investing in too. Grateful we made the decision.
