The gentleman running the simulator desk was extremely condescending and rude. As a left-handed golfer, my husband already knew he would be running into limited selection, which is fine, however tried his best to demo available items to make a decision. Our first interaction with this individual was him yelling at us telling us we couldn't demo the new wedges. He didn't even bother to notice that we had 3 separate demo wedges picked out and wasn't planning on even trying to new ones out. He ended up liking a Callaway Wedge, and upon checking the stock, there was not one available. My husband simply asked if there would be any ability to purchase the demo wedge, to which we received an extremely smart ass response and sass. I've never quite experienced that much of a false sense of authority and lack of customer service skills. Most people would have used a different tone... something to the effect of hey unfortunately we don't sell the demo items, but I'm happy to try and find the item online for you to order or possibly at another store. Upon that type of response, we immediately left and will gladly be taking our business elsewhere. This was Sunday, June 14th at about 1pm and I wish we had got the associate's name. If I were the business owner, I would definitely be thinking about if this person is helping or hurting my ability to drive revenue and a positive customer experience.

Good selection of used equipment for almost any sportsy-type stuff at decent prices. There is apparently, among some tiny sub-segment demographic group, a stigma attached to purchasing used things. I'm not goofy like that. I'm goofy in other ways. If you roll up with sports equipment to sell, you'll get three offers, in ascending order of monetary value: 1) An outright price to sell them the items. This is the smallest amount of cash that you'll get. To be precise, you'll leave with a check, not cash. Who does that in 2013? Play It Again Sports does, that's who. 2) A slightly higher offer in trade value on items in the store. Presumably, you can use the credit value immediately...but I'm not certain. 3) The highest figure is if you want to consign your stuff and share the proceeds with the proprietor(s). Of course, you might sit around for months before your stuff sells. I took my beautiful lady's son down with a load of gear that they didn't use or need any longer. We took the deal to sell the equipment outright. I thought that it was a fair offer. Others might be offended by the fractional valuation of the item relative to the original cost. Don't be. When you buy sports crap, you're paying a premium for discretionary goods. The markups are clownish. If you can't use the stuff any longer or it's taking up too much space, just go to PIAS and sell it to them. You might be able to get more money for it on Craig's List, but then you have to deal with functional retards that will try to talk you down to pennies on the dollar. You could list a kilo ingot of pure gold for $10 on Craig's List and nobody would buy it. But you'd have 37 jackasses pester you on the phone, offering you $3.18 or less. I chalk it up to the curious phenomenon that I term "Stuff that nobody understands." Friendly folks, lots (mountains, even) of sports gear, good prices. You need sports stuff, they have it. Go buy some. Or go sell some. Whatev.

Our bay was ready meaning the table was clean and our names were on the screen. The floor had quite a bit of junk on it resembling the innards of a broken golf ball. We scooted it into the empty bay next to us. Since we are both lefties, we brought our own clubs. Our bay was nice and shady. Music that appeals to most Gen-X'ers played softly in the background. We could conversation without lying although the kids in the bay next over heckling their dad were a bit distracting. We should've expected as much since many Georgia counties are on Fall Break. Despite the disruption, it was awesome to see a family having fun together without their faces in screens. The machine worked great and there were tons of games from which to choose. We promptly started playing and enjoyed seeing how far and fast the balls flew. We tied. ;-) Aiden visited our table and offered to take our menu order or we could conveniently order online. A QR menu was available. We ordered food from him because we appreciate great service and human interaction. Aidan didn't disappoint. He brought our drink refills (free!) before our cups ran out. We ordered chips with queso, salsa and guacamole for $17. The queso was huge, the guacamole fresh & the salsa was okay. We ended up extending our bay time because we were having so much fun. Plenty of parking since it was a Sunday afternoon, and it was cloudy with sporadic rain nearby, making the need to prepay for a booth unnecessary, since we were early and they had plenty of booths. Oh well, kind of disappointed they still charged us for that. We booked booth 216 for 90 minutes, Taylor K was our server and checked in on us to see if we needed any help getting started. We for a couple drinks and started our playing a few different games. With two people we play quickly, so we had a lot of fun. I ordered pretzel bites as a snack while playing and we didn't stop until the time was up. Easy to pay our tab, we had gift cards and Taylor helped us get it sorted out. Any leftovers we gave to him, along with a cash tip. Great location, near lots of options for food- but drinks and food are good here! Great for entertaining, great for big groups. They have a 27 hole layout, and you play two nines for a full round. Basically, if I were to go there a lot, I wouldn't play the same round every time, due to changing the order I play. The pro shop is unique, seeing as it is a big red barn. There were several scenic holes, and I was there for sunset. The sunset rivaled some of my favorite ones on the beach. Be near the clubhouse for sunset. Big sky, green grass, flags gently blowing as the sun sinks down. For the actual golf, I couldn't believe how fast the greens were rolling on a Wednesday, it seemed like they had them groomed for a tourney! I can't putt worth a crap on fast greens, so I played a little worse than normal. The course is challenging, and I really enjoyed the layout. I had a gallery at one point, even- A couple of horses sticking their head over the fence watching my tee shot! I'll definitely be back, and is not too far of a drive out of town for a solid round of man's number one frustration (outside of women, of course).

For the money, Bradshaw Farm in Woodstock is a good public course. There are three nines here: Red,…read moreWhite, and Blue. The two nines you play can change depending on how the pro shop has scheduled tee times for the day. I've played Bradshaw several times over the years and have usually wound up playing the Red and Blue nines. From the blue tees, the Red measures 3,128 yards, the White 3,286 yards, and Blue 3,153 yards, so it's not a terribly long course. It's moderately difficult and I think somewhat beginner-friendly for a standard full-length course. There are a lot of hills and elevation changes, some of which are quite steep. The first tee on the Red nine has quite the drop which makes that drive a lot of fun. The most memorable hole to me is the 9th on Red. It's a long par 4 which goes downhill then back up to a steeply elevated green. The view is cool because overlooking the green way above is the clubhouse and golf cart storage building. At the time of writing this review, Bradshaw's public rates are $42, Monday through Thursday, $55 on Friday, and $65 on weekends and holidays. You can find good deals online through various websites like GolfNow and TeeOff.com. For example, I was able to book a Friday round here for $45 using TeeOff.com, a $10 savings off the regular rate. These websites also offer various discounts and promos throughout the year so you can save even more money on the already discounted tee times. It should be noted, however, that the tee times available on these websites can sometimes be more limited than what you can get by directly calling the pro shop. Overall, the condition of the course is decent. The greens are the best part. They are Champion Dwarf Bermudagrass (installed in 2012-13), the same grass that is now used at the club I grew up playing at (High Point Country Club - Willow Creek, also installed around the same time). The last time I played here, the greens were in great shape. They rolled true. The fairways were OK and the rough was cut short. The brown-red sand in the bunkers had more of a hard, dense, clay-like consistency as opposed to the drier, white, "fluffy" sand. Not bad though. I was still able to hit out of them with my usual sand shot. There's a big driving range and one practice putting green and short game area. Like some of the tee shots here, the driving range is located on what feels like a cliff, so you are hitting shots down into a valley. It's mats only at the range and range balls (not included) are dispensed from a machine outside the pro shop. When you purchase range balls, you'll be given a code to enter into the machine. A small bucket costs about $4-5. I'm not a fan of the golf carts here. They're old. Several have worn out tires and the carts' turning and handling is not good. These carts are definitely showing their wear and age. Also, no GPS and towels are not provided. Neither are tees, ball markers, repair tools, etc, but to be expected at the rates they charge. What Bradshaw does have, which I love and think every golf course should have, is one of those compressed air guns. They're great for blowing grass, dirt, sand, and other stuff out of your shoes, socks, skin, etc. Also, the restrooms out on the course are satisfactory. The clubhouse itself looks like a giant red barn. Very distinctive. The clubhouse has a nice view of the first hole on Red. The pro shop is small and basic. The restaurant and bar is also no-frills. The grill offers food like breakfast sandwiches, Danishes, muffins, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and fries each under $6. The bar serves liquor. The staff I've encountered have been friendly, polite, and helpful. That goes for the guys in the pro shop to the cart girls. Marshals? Not sure I've ever seen one or had one say anything to me. In the end, Bradshaw Farm gets 3 Yelp "A-OK" stars out of me.
