NEVER RETURNING TO BIOLIFE AFTER TODAY!!…read more I just got finished with my first plasma donation at the Grifol location on 2nd St. 100/10 experience to say the least. Previously I have donated through BioLife at their locations in Utah and Colorado. In both states I have had some not so pleasant experiences, due to my own sensitivity. The return process has almost always made me feel nauseous, a couple times causing me to vomit all over myself and equipment hooked up to me. I do not blame BioLife for these problems because I know that it is a rare occurrence and they always did what they could to help me get through the process. However, the reason I am never going back to BioLife is because during my donation experience with Grifol I didn't feel nauseous once. And on top of that, the plasma donation that would usually take me 45 minutes took me 30 minutes. I also noticed that they cleaned my arm beforehand with a different liquid than they do at BioLife. When I asked them about it they told me it was iodine and that they use it instead of alcohol because not only is it more sterile but also lasts longer. With BioLife I've always been a little hesitant to go back and donate. But with Grifol I have no doubts about returning soon to donate.

This place is terrible, and only getting worse. I'm here now. It's a Tuesday morning. I'm sitting…read moreon one of the donation chairs waiting to be hooked up. I've been here for an hour and 40 mins already, and I'm watching staff goof around and avoid working while I am trying to get this done and go back to work. They are understaffed, and yet it seems they have no limits to the amount of people they will allow to donate per hour. It's insane. They are completely understaffed, yet will not limit the amount of donations so that they are able to adequately assist their costumers. On top of that, the staff they do have are either awkward, nervous, inappropriate teens, or older, experienced staff that are now jaded and unhappy. They move slowly. They will sit and talk with people for 10 mins while your alarm is going off and you are waiting to be detached from the machine. It's a complete crap show. Avoid it at all costs if you value your time and sanity at all. You've been warned.

This facility is employed by nothing more than 18 year old college students who cannot find a vein…read more I went twice, and a total of five times I was poked, and they still cannot find a vein. So because of their lack of experience, I am unable to donate. I have no problem anywhere else I go when it comes to donating blood or plasma. I recommend going to another facility or just flat out, not donating because of the lack of experience from their employees.
