Went in for 30 min of compression therapy today because I thought my legs could use some tlc. I practice barre on the weekends and sometimes my legs feel a bit sore after class. I thought I'd try compression therapy instead of a full massage. It was my first time at Biohack Cryo & Wellness, I usually go to Pause in Studio City but I stayed close to home this time. The location is nice and looks very clean and well maintained. They also have an infrared sauna (my favorite), cold plunge, cryotherapy as well as other services. My first impression was great, excellent customer service. I even got a discount for being a new customer. I'll definitely be back for the infrared sauna! Had the best experience at this place! I came in on my birthday as a treat myself kinda day but I'm definitely going for more! As someone who lifts and run regularly, I wanted to do something that can help me recover better. I did three of the services they provide. I did a 30-minute leg compression, followed by 45-minute contrast therapy, and an hour myofascial release with muscle scraping and cupping. All in all, I thought it was a great deal. I felt so relaxed and energized afterwards. The facility was super neat. I appreciate all the amenities. The staff are very nice and friendly. They interact well their clients and have a great rapport with them as I have witnessed. Just one thing though, I wish there was more to hold onto in the cold plunge/sauna room. The more you give them the better the treatment.I have arthritis and herniated discs in my lower back and had a lot pain. I used the infrared sauna then the cold plunge, which was an experience, which I will try again. I went back about a week later and had a myofacial (cupping and scrapping) massage which Timmie asked if I had a specific area, which I did my lower back. It was truly a very specific and focused massage. After the cupping I had purple marks which, Timmie said within 48 hours you will noticed the difference, and he was not wrong. The whole massage process felt like 20 minutes, (really 1 hour) since I did fall into a deep meditation state. The prices were a very fair price. read more

I come here to relax and recover. It's my happy place :) I visited Biohack for the first time a few months ago after I hurt my lower back lifting heavy equipment at work. I had done cryotherapy before, but the owner walked me through the whole process and made me feel incredibly comfortable. After a few sessions in the tank (combined with daily stretching), I was able to rehabilitate my lumbar back to 100%. And apart from being a useful tool for recovery, cryotherapy is just FUN! I've taken my wife, brother-in-law, and friends to Biohack, and they've all loved it. It's a thrilling, unique, and revitalizing experience. I also just tried contrast therapy for the first time, and as expected, it was a blast. You get around 50 minutes in a private room with a sauna and a cold plunge. I spent 30 minutes in the sauna and the remaining 20 minutes intermittently going in and out of the cold plunge, which was a true shock to the system. The endorphins I got made me feel like I could run a marathon. It's challenging, but well worth it. It's located in a great art of Woodland Hills, right next to an acai bowl place, which I always visit as a lil' reward after cryo. Great location and experience! I came in to try the new B12 shot and it was incredibly fast and comfortable, I honestly didn't feel the shot at all, kudos to the nurse, but I did feel the effects. I decided to stick around and try the compression therapy massage on my legs since I had come in after a heavy leg day and 10/10 recommend, I'm someone who gets sore easily and I felt SO much better, absolutely coming back for that again. Had a great experience here before. But I went in today and I tried the PEMF machine....absolutely amazing.

I have never been to a wellness center before but the staff were all so helpful and attentive all along the way. I took advantage of their special pricing for the soft opening (30% off all services) and had the privilege of trying out all the amenities! Cryotherapy: I was provided some super soft gloves, long knee socks, some clogs, a mask, and an option of earmuffs or a beanie (all of which are used for protection!) I honestly had no clue what to expect but I just went in without a second thought. I absolutely hate extreme temperatures, but this was honestly not bad at all. It was really weird because I could feel my goosebumps and they felt like they had icicles stuck to them LOL. The hardest part was honestly the breathing, but once I got that regulated, the rest of the 3 minutes I had was smooth sailing. By the time I was done and out of the pod, the tenderness/pain I had in my shoulders went from 100% to 30%! I can see why so many people advocate for cryo now, because I'm sure if I went for a second or third session, that pain would be gone completely! Infrared Sauna: After cryo, I waited a bit to make sure I was fully dried off before hopping into the sauna. Again, no idea what to expect. When I think sauna, I'm thinking stinky, sticky, and sweaty. This infrared sauna was none of the above. In fact, it was so enjoyable that I'm seriously debating on making it a daily habit. There's a little tablet inside the sauna so you can watch youtube/music, but I brought my phone in with me to use while I waited the full 45 min session. I was given a small, cold/wet towel (I think there was some eucalyptus oil on it too!) to drape over myself if I was feeling too warm. The towel was a huge help and made some parts of my body feel icy and refreshing as well. I loved how private the room was so you can really just sit and meditate in there until you're finished. Once the timer was over and I stepped out, my joints honestly felt so good and my skin was glowing. Needless to say, I'm a newly converted infrared sauna girlie! Cold Plunge: The cold plunge room was super cute and vibey! There was a huge TV right in front of the tub for you to play whatever music or video you want! Now, I was the most nervous for this out of all the services I tried, but honestly, it's all a mental game. Like cryo, I just went all in and fully submerged myself from the neck down. The first minute I was in the tub was honestly super hard because my feet were freezing so bad I was getting slightly concerned, but I'm really glad that the staff reassured me that it was a normal reaction. The next hardest part was not slippin' and sliding all over LOL. I had to get a good grip on the sides to keep myself from floating around/sliding down. I ended up staying in there for 3 minutes, but I definitely felt like I could've stayed in longer. Now with the after effects, when I got up and out, I felt so awakened and refreshed! Definitely a great first experience and I'm so glad I had a staff member who encouraged me to push through the mental hurdles! Compression Therapy: I see people all over instagram doing this and I never understood the hype, but I totally get it now. Especially after a good leg day, I can imagine just how heavenly this experience would be. It's honestly pretty self explanatory, but I really loved how relaxing this was (I could honestly have fallen asleep!). Overall, if you're a newbie like I am who's on the fence about kickstarting their health journey with therapy like these, I'd say DO IT!! Even if it's just once, I think everyone deserves to treat their body to all that this place has to provide at least once in their life!! If you end up not liking it, that's totally ok, but at least you can say you've tried! read more
