I wanted to visit this venue for the longest time. I finally stopped in for the Cleveland Vintage Market hosted by the Cleveland Vibes. Ambiance: The space is huge - over 11,000 square feet of open space. There are remnants of Tenk Machine & Tool outside - a little mural. There is one ballrooms and separate rooms to the back of the event space. The vibes are industrial sophistication - gorgeous exposed brick walls, wood details, and abundant natural lighting. I can absolutely envision a wedding here with juxtaposition of delicate and rough. I love exposed brick walls, so for me the venue was just perfect. It was also just right for the Cleveland Vintage Market. It fit in plenty of vendors and attendees with still sufficient room to roam. Marigold Catering: There were sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for sale during the event offered by Marigold. I did not try either. I really enjoyed Marigold catered food at other events I've historically attended at other venues around the city. Service: I interacted with the security staff at this venue. They were so friendly and great at directing the foot traffic. Parking: Parking is available at a surface lot next door owned by Marigold. If you're up for a show walk, Nautica Pavilion is also a good parking choice. Ubering to this destination is pretty easy, GPS shows an accurate location. I look forward to visiting Tenk West Bank again! I hope that the venue hosts other events soon so that I can come back!

So a freaking Friday 3 PM wedding on the west side of town - with a 2 hour window before the 6 PM cocktail/7 PM reception. This was hard to find and once in the parking lot - it was still confusing. The cocktail hour was on a terrace - outdoors and rather chilly. And not wheelchair friendly as my elderly mom could not make it to this part. Uneven flooring, jammed with people and tables and chairs to maneuver. Plus there is no elevator to get her down from the reception area. Just bad planning on all levels (no pun intended). I think the food on the patio was good - it looked good but hubby wasn't hungry and there were so many people, I only ended up trying one chicken skewer thing as a waitress wandered by with a tray. It was very good. I also don't know about bar service as again - we don't drink and hubby never offered to get me a soft drink. Plus - no place to put it and eat while standing, too. So just was well. We were seated upstairs for the reception. The room has these huge metal black steel pillar-beams which blocked my view from everything happening - cutting the wedding cake, bridal dance, etc. And I was seated at the family wedding table. The room was too small for the size of the party. When the dancing started, the music was so loud those seated at tables could not talk. I don't think it was the DJ's fault for having the music too loud - we were just all crammed together right by the dance floor. One good thing - the food was absolutely delicious. I went crazy and had the beef. It was a huge serving. I would have preferred med-rare - but no choice given the size of the party. I was just happy to get a choice: beef, salmon, chicken. The squash was also fantastic - with asiago cheese. YUM! Don't know about the potatoes but they looked good. Rolls were average. Salad was good. And I guess dessert doesn't count as it was wedding cake. I do not recommend this venue for a reception for almost 200 people. Pick a bigger place. I don't imagine it was really worth the cost.

She listened to what we wanted, was easy to get a hold of, had great ideas. She and her team were extremely helpful, and with her guidance our wedding ended up being gorgeous. Hilary made wedding planning easy. The venue is unique, and cool and so many of our guests complimented us on our choice and said that they had never been to a wedding like ours. We had an amazing time and are so happy with our decision. We had 110 guests and that was the perfect amount of space- although smART Space is larger and could have accommodated more people we did not feel as if the space was too big. 110 was the perfect size for our ceremony and cocktail hour in HEDGE.

The top…read morepriorities for me when choosing a wedding reception site were: 1) convenient location for my guests, 2) classy, comfortable space, 3) really good food (it's really a glorified DINNER party, isn't it?!?), and 4) competent staff. Ahern's is all of these things and they made our reception this past February truly fantastic. Lucy is the no-nonesense, very capable manager. She essentially served as our personal party planner before and during the event and took care of everything, communicating with the other vendors (DJ, photographer, florist, etc.) and making sure the party continued to progress so we could just sit back and enjoy our guests. Aherns is their own caterer and can do either a sit-down meal or buffet (or cocktail reception) with almost endless entree options. We went with the buffet and an open bar so guests could enjoy as much or little as they wanted and it worked perfectly. I think we were pretty low key but did have a few special requests and they were professionally executed by the staff. There are two banquet halls of different sizes but they have separate entrances and bathrooms and a service hallway runs between them so you wouldn't even notice if another event was happening during yours. The halls are already very elegant so we didn't spend any money on decorating other than flower centerpieces but the space could certainly accommodate any over-the-top additions you might want.

Only downside is the restrooms in the building are designed rather poorly, so it can be difficult to pass someone if they are headed out and you are headed to a stall.

We parked at the public park garage near the Marriott. You can take the elevators to the main level in the hotel.. walk outside and then across the street to the venue. For 5hrs it only cost us $8! There were vendors scattered from the main room to a side conference area. They even had room set up for a live band and Chinese raffle. This place is huge! There was quite a bit of seating (I expected there to be no seating). They also had some tables set up that you could stand by without sitting. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. Security was present, they kept the even safe & secure. I loved visiting this time of year because of the Christmas lights outside in public square. The venue also had a large woodsy type of lit up tree in the middle. The entire building is mostly glass with tall, very tall ceilings. My only negative is that is got hot in here, fast. There were a lot of bodies but it seemed as maybe the ventilation wasn't able to keep up. Just need better temperature control.

Now, Harness Collective, a female-owned real estate company, bought the building in 2022. I got to tour the renovated space before they opened back in early 2023. The building's exterior on Detroit Ave. is beautiful with its striking windows and arches. BUSINESSES -- The lower level includes Harness Cycle (indoor cycling/spinning studio) and Patron Saint and Bar (cafe inspired by Italy but not necessarily serving 100% Italian food). The upper level on the 2nd floor includes Soul Yoga (a yoga studio) and The Matriarchy (a female owned event and co-working space that has private offices). Luuma wellness spaces opened in the basement of the Vitrolite in early 2026 for small business to rent (business such as acupuncture, massage, and therapists). EVENTS -- There are always fun events happening. I got to visit the Matriarchy CoWorking space in December 2025 when they offered a free co-working day in collaboration with Anoteka Design business who was the host for the day. I had a lovely time and even saw a friend there who also works remote. I've been to Harness Cycle plenty of times in the Vitrolite building as they were the first tenant back in 2023. HISTORY: Vitrolite building has been part of Hingetown neighborhood since 1926! It used to be a showroom for Vitrolite Glass Company. Today you'll still find a nod to Vitrolite at Patron Saint. The architecture and history of this building are impressive. Currently the Vitrolite serves as a community space for businesses and entrepreneurs since 2023. TENANTS: The Vitrolite is a brain child of Harness Cycle owners. Inside you'll find Harness Cycle (cycling studio), Patron Saint (Italian cafe), Soul Space (gorgeous yoga studio), the Matriarchy (event and co-working space designed for women, Sisu (seasonal Finnish sauna). Exciting developments constantly get added to this space such as upcoming spa portion. Many prominent local business owners plan events here or participate in offerings. It's beautiful to witness! SERVICE: This entire center has consistently amazing customer service. Every business is very community-oriented, owners and employee welcoming and kind. PARKING: Street parking is available in the area, but can get scarce during events (sports or local). Parking lots are available at Church and State, Transformer Station. I love to attend events and frequent businesses at the Vitrolite. It's a getaway of sorts to enjoy fitness, relaxation, and delicious food. I highly recommend a visit! I'm already planning the next trip to Vitrolite to visit the Finnish sauna.
