One of my favorites is the Catfish David. Great customer service when we dine in and atmosphere.

food: 6.5/10 - the bread was tough enough to break a bone. Sadly the shrimp was seasoned but not FRESH.) service: 4/10 - i wasn't told they are not to happy to Serve a COLORED PERSON, the cashier nor cook couldn't look in my eyes. I walked in, silence.. a white woman walks in the all greeted her immediatly. Recently went here been a few years and did not disappoint! Have the Redfish Ranatza with the Crab and corn soup. Amazing!!! As always the Beanos potatoe with the soup dumped over it was to die for. My wife got the Catfish David and as always stellar also. My daughter got the 12pc fried shrimp which also were fried perfect breading super crunchy and Cajun fries were good too. Customer service and ambiance good and has a great down home local feel. Definitely will be back soon. read more

This was a great find in a small town. Actually recommended by some locals at a shop we were in. You could consider this a hole in the wall. The outside doesn't advertise itself too much, but the inside was surprisingly well put together and clean. The restroom was one of cleanses, I've ever been in. Our server was a friendly older lady and very prompt with service. We got a mozzarella app with marinara, which I suspect was spaghetti sauce, no complaints, we really liked it. She got the grilled shrimp platter with veges and side salad. She noted the shrimp was delicious and very well seasoned. I got the chicken fried steak with white gravy and fries and side salad. Fried could of been fried alittle longer. They were alittle rubbery, other than that, everything else was above par and really good. We look forward to coming back and eating here again. read more

OK, so Tony and his wife have sold Bino's to "Mr. Michael," but the food didn't miss a beat. It had been six years since the wife and I had both been able to eat at Bino's and we both got old favorites -- Redfish Renatza with Bino's baked (skinned) potato. She got salad, but I got my standby of crab and potato bisque. NOTHING DISAPPOINTED!!! For dessert, we had bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. By the end of the meal, I was so stuffed that I didn't even have time to go to Zesto's for a chocolate malt. My only disappointment was that they didn't have a black Bino's T-shirt in XL for me to add to my collection ... especially since Tony and his wife have sold the restaurant. This is one of those CAN'T MISS places ... so don't miss it! read more

One of the best restaurants ever. Service was great. Meals we had were made to order. Worth driving 40 miles.

We stumbled across this place as we were searching for somewhere nearby to eat. We had driven to Pearl River, but the restaurant we were looking to dine at was closed. We drove over to Crossroads and they were closed too. I got on Yelp and found Bino's. We called to make sure they were open. The lady who answered the phone was polite, answering our questions. She even laughed when asked if the food was good, stating that it was. We got there about 45 minutes before closing, and were promptly seated. The waitress was amazing! She was friendly, gave great suggestions about food to try, laughed & talked with our table the duration of our visit. There was also another gentleman (not sure if waiter or owner who came over and spoke to the table). Between the two, we were properly attended to during our dining experience. Even some of the "regular" customers passed and spoke and gave great suggestions for food to try. The atmosphere was friendly and light. Thinking about it, the hostesses were even super nice, and chatted like we'd known them a while. The food came out promptly and was very tasty(seasoned well). I had the grilled fish and shrimp. Chris has a type of Yakamein, but with shrimp instead of beef. Oh, and it came on a plate. A shrimp pasta was also ordered. As an appetizer we had seafood beignets. Being from New Orleans we would call this more of an egg roll. Over all, everything was tasty and brought to the table hot. My only suggestion is that the Yakamein type dish be served in a bowl. But that's just my preference; lol! The food is affordable, the venue's climate is warm and inviting, and staff are really friendly and make the experience of dining at Bino's enjoyable and worth another visit. read more

This was our first time eating here, and I really wanted it to be good since it is a local family restaurant But, it was very disappointing. I ordered the shrimp cantrell which was shrimp in a pepper and onion sauce over pasta. I might as well have been eating Worcestershire sauce over spaghetti noodles because that was all I could taste. My husband had the seafood platter. The catfish was good, the shrimp were ok, but the oysters were over fried and uneatable. It's a shame that the food was unappetizing because the people were nice and the service was good. But you go to a restaurant for the food, so we won't be back. read more

I visit Bino's anytime I'm in Louisiana. Best food you can buy. They cook fish like someone in the kitchen loves you. A must stop! Even if you have to go 50 miles out of your way, it's worth it. I got the crawfish etufee it was pretty bland needed booko salt, went home hungry, my friend got the hamburger steak & fries and said it was not good . Then listened to a table behind us order and they got the Cajun fries, we didn't even know they had that, my grandma the the grilled fishes and loved it I tasted it and it was pretty good & my mom got the fried catfishe plate and loved it & server was great! read more

Stopped in last night on the recommendation of a friend and WOW, some of the best food and service I ever had. The eggplant and the redfish were our entrees, the crawfish beignets were our appetizer and we were not disappointed. The soup and salad were great, and the potato that came with the meal was like no other potato I've ever had. The whole thing was spectacular, delicious and filling! Our server was a very young man, (17), who was super attentive and did his job exceptionally well, (young man-your parents raised you right!). My wife is very sensitive to spicy food and some "cream sauces", but the food we had did not disturb her sensitive tummy at all, the food was so flavorful and not too "overpowering", it was really just perfect! The chef came out to meet us, (since it was our first time), and the whole atmosphere was that of a "local diner" where everyone knew everyone else. I can't wait till we've been there enough times to be recognized by name like most of the others. Bino's is a hidden gem and I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal and great service! 5+ stars! read more

A long drive from NOLA city proper, but absolutely worth it for a fantastic meal with the Gambino family. Our dinner was great, and we were treated like family. Highlights: Tamales, tamales, tamales - hand rolled by Tony with a homemade tamale sauce that is killer. Almost sweet, with a great level of spice. Bread pudding with brown butter and ice cream, with cinnamon on top that is just crispy. Fried eggplant in a cream sauce with crawfish etouffe on the side. Summary: Everything we ate was spot on. Bino's stands up to, if not surpasses, most of the main-line New Orleans restaurants (Dick and Jenny's, Atchafalaya, etc.) while also making a case to be included on the Southern Foodways Alliance "Tamale Trail." Will absolutely make the drive back, but be sure to note that they are closed on Saturdays. read more

Another great recommendation from the Yelp! community. Thank you! Finishing a long road trip we looked on Yelp! for a good local place for dinner. As in the past, we were so glad we trusted these top reviews. Perfectly quaint and casual, filled with locals, excellent food and friendly service. Kids menu had 6 or 8 great items. Grilled cheese and fries was just $2.99. I ordered Catfish Annie first but our server suggested the Catfish David was even better if I wanted to taste something more unique to them. (I think the Annie was more an étouffée style dish.) The David was amazing with a rich creamy crawfish sauce smothering it while the perfectly fried catfish remained crispy. My husband got the redfish with a similar sauce. Both were ideal. The "Dino potato" (skinned and baked in butter) was also very good though I could not finish it all! That was in part because we each devoured our crab and crawfish soup beforehand - best I've ever had (and I'm from New Orleans)! All that and two beers came out to about $40 and I think I'll be full and happy for the next week! Don't miss this place! Had a great standard Po-boy. You can tell it is a local favorite and gets very busy. So can be hard to find parking. The Binos potato was very buttery and delicious. The one thing that really stood out was the bread pudding! It was very very good! Service was nice and prompt. read more

We found this lovely cottage "jewel", true country hospitality, neat pleasant atmosphere calmed (not loud). Friendly staff. The lunch specials are very SPECIAL! Not sure what it's called- but I know it's named after the original owners- the chicken breast topped with creamy crab sauce and the bino potato, which is like a skinned baked potato topped with melted butter and parsley- omg!!! Amazing!!! My little one loves their spaghetti. I've never tried anything that was not delicious. Just wish they were in a better area. Not the best parking either, esp on a crowded night. Always have gotten great service once we get inside tho. read more

My daughter and I were traveling through Bogalusa and happened upon Bino's Seafood Restaurant. What a lucky find for us!! Everything was so fresh and fabulous. The crab corn chowder was undoubtedly the best I have ever had in my life and the tamales were exceptional!! The atmosphere and wait staff were pleasant and welcoming and service was great.
