Take my warning: don't laugh, make small talk, ask questions or do anything other than breathe because this bingo hall is full of serious players! I asked what number was just called out and was told to "hush." Inevitably, when you lose at Bingo, which you will, you can go to the other side of the Moose for their bar scene. Cheap drinks to cool off that dobber hand and enough of Skynards records to sing away those bingo loser blues!

The American Legion is members only, but they have many activities open to the public. I have been to multiple American Legions around the US and this one has a great crowd and they are very welcoming. They also have a full schedule of activities. Many American Legion allow you to smoke, this one does not inside, but offers a patio for those that smoke. The Legion hall is open to the public for dance lessons in the evening, Friday-Sunday, for a $10 charge, club 201. They are also open for Bingo 1-2 nights a week. The American Legion has multiple generations. As for the Pokemon crowd, the Legion does get a good crowd and they'll protect their people and property. Second, hearing some the members came out of the bush, they were most like marines, and personally - I would give that story a three or four star rating.

Here's some info based on mine and my partner's experience: - location is tricky, but they have signage, park around the back. - they have food and snacks there (no outside food) but we saw a few people bring drinks in. - the servers with the food were so nice and sweet and even went to the restaurant and brought us back a bbq chicken sandwich because we don't eat pork. - the food prices were reasonable. - a starter package is currently $15 and gets you in to every game. - we didn't know how to play, but the locals and volunteers (or workers maybe) were quick to help us and give us pointers. - cash only but atm available. - no alcohol allowed - bingo calls are pretty slow which helps if you are new and for those who have multiple cards All in all, being a first timer at a charity hall and not knowing what to expect: we had a good time and would go back. It is a little slow and could use some pep, and the venue is not exactly a date night style! But otherwise great experience!

I'm not a Bingo pro, by any means, and it can actually stress me out trying to play a bunch of cards at once. The crowd? Well, mostly what you would expect at a Bingo game. Plenty of older ladies and gentlemen. Everyone is very nice, but folks do have their rituals. It's fun to watch people when you can. Hey, proceeds go to different charities, so why not. Now if only you could drink while playing. That would liven it up a bit. Ringgold is a dry town though, so no go.
