Carews has to be that spot with all the vibes and aesthetic you crave for in a coffeehouse. From…read morethe moment we walked in we fell in love with this place. All the details from the decor to seating was gorgeous. This was our first time visiting and we were a bit overstimulated by the menu. The guy that attended us was very nice. There were so many drinks we wanted to try but settled on The Flo which is their tiramisu coffee. It was so good! Not to sweet and not to strong just how i like it. We also ordered a cinnamon roll cookie that literally is like eating a cinnamon roll. It even had a soft center which i loved. My best friend got a guava and cheese croissant. She said it was good but weird at the same time because it was cheese in one side and guava on the other. My son got a chocolate croissant and absolutely devoured it. Great spot with all the vibes, great service and even greater coffee

It wasn't bad but I wasn't like omg this has to be my new coffee spot. I'd be ok if I never went…read morethere again, but if someone told me to meet them there I'd say ok sure. I really did not care for the service, I thought the staff seemed like their patience left the building. I didn't go toward a busy time so it was surprising. They gave me the wrong size drink so then went I told them they literally took the drink, put it in a bigger cup, and put more ice lol which I'm sure a lot of places do but it just sucks to actually see it and the drink isn't relatively cheap. Also, found a charm at the bottom of my drink... sorry to whoever's charm it was. I

The chicken sandwich didn't disappoint. It is flavorful and very well presented. The green juice is refreshing and freshly done. My son had a strawberry smoothie and he said it was amazing. They keep topping his glass! Would highly recommend you give them a try.

This was a lovely lunch experience. Even though Linda, owner, was on her own serving as barista,…read morechef, and waiter, as her partner was out on a delivery, we still had a chance to chat. We learned about the restaurant being named for her mom (No, it doesn't mean gold). The restaurant faces the south side of the street in a strip next to the smoke shop. Parking is in a lot a couple doors west. Look for the umbrella table outside. The street numbers jump from 500 to 426 in one storefront. Inside, it's charmingly decorated. The dates on the walls refer to different relatives birth years. We started with drinks. I got an iced decaf coffee. I had my choice of 3 milks. He had an iced chai latte. He said it didn't need any added sugar. Both were very good. For food, I ordered their burger. It was cooked to temp as requested. The patty topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese. It was good. Alongside came crispy chips and a small bowl of their special (addictive) Le Dor sauce -- a mix of cheese and burger jus. My husband had their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. The salad had nice chunks of chicken along with raisins, avocado, spicy mayo (just a touch of a kick), and lettuce. There were grapes and an orange, too, on the plate. He said it was wonderful. The menu is small, but prepared to look good as well as taste delicious. They offer special pasta nights. Call for info and reservations for these events. We were too full, but the almond croissants and other pastries looked appealing. Ask what they have when you drop by. We hope we can return soon.

I was at a nearby CVS and took a wrong turn and ended up in this parking lot. I almost just left, but I saw "Panaderia" on a wall and it sucked me in. It was Guatemalan and I was in for a treat. It was like Willy Wonkas chocolate factory only of delicious sweet and savory bread. Also a small to-go food shop. The nice man working there took my order and nicely answered all of my questions and suggested I get the carne asada Torta. They bake the bread there and lemme tell you.... It's soft and amazing. Meat was tender and seasoned, veggies were all fresh. This was the tastiest torta I've had in Lake Worth. I wish i had a good green salsa but I forgot to ask. Either way it's a HIGE torta and it's packed with flavor served by nice ppl and all for $7.50! Yep that's it! Just 7.50!

The sign outside says: Quetzalteca Bakery Cafe: Sabor de Guatemala. A signboard outside indicated savory specials for the day, but upon entering, I could not locate any other messaging about this. People were being served and eating at tables inside, but I didn't look too hard to find a menu. The two large bakery display windows were so interesting! On first glance, everything looked very similar: white breads of different shapes and sizes. There was very little variation in color, with only one item showing some fruit in it. I selected several unlabeled and unpriced items by pointing to them. A cake slice was light, fluffy, and tasted of corn. A diamond-shaped cookie was light and toasty with a beautiful crunch. A plantain bun(?) was creamy, slightly sweet and so interesting with a brown sauce in the middle that was slightly spicy. The bread round was my least favorite item as the taste didn't really appeal to me. Although everything was plain and lightly sweetened, the textures were so good. I like being able to purchase cookies for my son that are clearly low in sugar. Half the fun was not knowing if these items were sweet or savory or breads when I selected them; it made each bite a fun surprise!
