I thought it was OK. - Almost 2 years ago now, I tore out a little article I had seen in one of the many magazines I get. It was maybe 10 sentences and a photo of this place, "Bin Ends". It sounded interesting, and I always told myself I'd go check it out if I ever had the time. - I'm on the North Shore, so travelling south of Boston is a huge deal. Maybe you who live there don't understand, but North and South of Boston might as well be two different countries. I rarely, if EVER, go anywhere south of Boston. - So anyway I had nothing better do to and was low on wine so I decided to check it out. It's down in Danvers near that Bernie & Phyls furniture place. I think the last time I was down here, I was looking for couches at that same store. This place, Bin Ends, is located sort of near the end of an area that's like one of those commerical parks or industrial areas? I mean there are stores around but they're not stores like from an outdoor mall or stores you go to a lot. So, that explains why this is here. - I have to give props to Yelp, because it's my #1 source for finding and going to places like this that I've been meaning to try. The Yelp app on my HTC Incredible Android phone works well with the Google maps navigation, so I was able to find this place really easily. - But let's get to it - the place is small. It's like a small warehouse room. I wasn't impressed walking in and didn't think I'd find anything. They have several spots along the middle of the room with 6 cases of 6 different wines each displayed for you (see my photo) and along the walls are different areas for different countries. They have France, Italy, Domestic, etc. Not a huge selection - I only recognized 4 of the brands I saw there - but - the prices were pretty good and I did pick up a dozen bottles of different things to try. Aside from the wine, they also sell beer - mainly warm cases also on the floor. Not a big selection at all - I forget what they had - oh PBR in cans, and some other brand - I've had it before but can't remember the name... Dang. Well they also sell hard liquor too, though I wasn't impressed with those prices either. - I think if you live nearby, it's worth going to, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. I can't really recommend it to anyone I know - being on the North Shore and all. It's not worth the drive for me. But still, a nice little place with good prices on wine. read more

My favorite wine shop in the Boston area. It's so good that we make the 30 minute drive from Cambridge. They're the best place around for value wines - $20 and under. Most wines in the store are very unique and cannot be found in other boston wine shops. The staff is also great at helping you pick out the right stuff. They also have an amazing selection of higher end wines that are marked down 20-50%. Their website is great, although it only shows a fraction of their inventory. Very disappointing first time and only experience!!! Went in with the soul purpose of exploring this location that is supposed to have a great craft beer selection. As a beer lover, I overheard the clerk at the counter speaking to two gentlemen buying a ton of wine say "are you beer fans? I have 2 cans of sip of sunshine left and I will only sell to regulars." The gentlemen said no. I joked around saying "if they don't want it, I'll take it." She gave me a dirty look and ignored me. As I continued to look around their very SMALL craft beer selection, I was continued to be ignored as the clerk along with any other employees were only focused on assisting any regulars or customers buying only boxes of wine. This will be my only experience with this store and I will spread the word to stay away. read more

My roommate and I went in here tonight to check the place out upon a recommendation of a coworker of mine. I swear, the "Hallelujah" chorus broke out the second we walked through door. This place is EPIC. Tons of wine to choose from, all at discount prices. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable GO HERE!!! It's worth the trip! What a gem! I found this place just from random Googling at the nearby Barnes and Noble before having to make a dinner party in Milton. As a woman, I was slightly nervous since the store was a bit hidden from the main road but my hesitation was quickly dissipated by the friendly staff and great prices! I was in a hurry but everything I saw was at least 30%-40% less than what I usually pay in Cambridge and Brookline. read more

Nice surprise to find interesting wine selections with some good bargains in such an industrial area. We were staying at the nearby Best Western so this was only 2 blocks away. Helpful service and nice people. This is primarily focused on wines so the liquor selection was limited but some availability. this place is pretty damn cool! i stumbled upon it one warm day while ordering my flooring at lumber liquidators which is in the same parking lot. i saw the word wine and it obviously drew me in. everything is organized by country so it makes things easy. the people are pretty helpful in suggesting things and i ended up with a nice bottle of cabernet(cartilidge & browne). needless to say the bottle was pretty much gone that night. yikes! ill be back when im in that area again. read more

I can't comment on the prices or the wine selections but the service was terrible. We had a wonderful dinner at Tastings (Patriot Place) and fell in love with one of their wine flight selections. So we called Bin Ends and asked them if they carried that particular wine. They said they had just one bottle left so we hightailed it there (about a 20 minute drive). Imagine our surprise when we get there and are pointed to another dessert wine (6 bottles) and told it tastes similar. That's 40 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. We left without even looking for the other wines on my list. read more

I heard about this place on Chronicle a couple of weeks ago. I remembered it was in Braintree and bought wines at the end of the bin....but what was it's name? Riding down 128, I called 411 and asked for bins end in braintree...viola! Woods Road. I turned onto Wood Road and went all the way to the end...no Bin's End....on the way back I saw the sign across the street from Hampton Inn....the excitement was building.... When I walked in I met Dan who gave me his undevided attention...25 mintues later I had 12 bottles of wines that I had never experienced, a tasting of a wonderful Port and I was only down $158. This is a really fantastic place to get wine, spirits and beer. The staff is really helpful, and they have a great selection of wine at deep discounts. It's sort of in an out-of-the-way spot in Braintree, next to Blue Hills. And if you buy wine there a lot, you can start an account, which the staff can use for suggestions if you are unsure of what you've liked in the past. Really great place. read more

My go-to wine shop! I LOVE the employees, they are so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable - they make me want to work there part time! The selection is huge, but if you love a certain type of wine - stock up! it goes fast. They bring in new wines all the time, while some remain there pretty constantly. they offer monthly "flea markets" wine tastings which are a great opportunity to try the wines instead of just blindly buying them. That being said, you can walk in almost any day of the week and they have a few bottles open for you to try. sign up for their email newsletter or become a fan on facebook for special offers. it is a "warehouse" but its clean and has plenty of parking and is right off the highway. I'd much rather go here and have a wonderful experience than head into Boston and try and get parking and not have as much of a selection in a more posh wine store. read more

This store, though a bit small, is a great find! They are located right off the highway in Braintree so they are very easy to get to. They have knowledgeable employees and good selection of wine at amazing prices. They have a core selection that stays the same, and new wines that rotate through all the time (but thing move fast!) My wife and I are BIG fans of Bin Ends! We are among Bin Ends' many loyal customers who have really grown to appreciate the ever-changing selection of wines, beers, and spirits, at fantastic prices. The wine selection is carefully selected by their staff to taste great and be a great value. They generally avoid the "big-name" wine labels that you would find in your average grocery store or generic wine shop. So if you're only interested in getting the same bottle of Yellow Tail that you always get, then you will be disappointed. But if you are interested in exploring a variety of wines, including from small wine producers from around the world, then you can have a lot of fun with the help of the Bin Ends' knowledgeable staff. They have daily free wine tastings, often up to 6 bottles at a time. Also, don't miss their miss their monthly wine "flea market"! It is a free VERY LARGE wine tasting, where I'm guessing they taste something like 60-70 bottles. Their selection spans a wide variety of styles and price points. It's a fun event that is a great opportunity to build up your home inventory! Finally, the owner and staff are great folks. I wish I knew about this place when I lived in Quincy. Such a great selection of wine and craft beer! The staff are all very friendly and very willing to help out if you have any questions. The weekend wine tastings are good and draws a big crowd. My only reasoning why I gave them a 3-star is because the deals/pricing aren't really all that great. I love visiting bin ends. I always leave with a case or 2 of wine. I will admit that I am not a connoisseur and I am easily pleased when it comes to wine...I would call myself pretty average in the wine consumption spectrum. But, they have a huge selection, the prices are great (we have been buying their case deals lately), and the staff is always friendly. What a find! My only regret is not learning about BinEnds sooner. Never had a bad bottle from this place. The prices are great, too, and what a selection! We've discovered so many great wines at this place from all over the world. Their malbecs are incredible, and they had my fave chianti, too, Rocco delle Macie's chianti classico, 2006! Wow!! Great selection of white wines as well. The staff is great, too. Helpful without being too pushy, and they really know their wines. Even though the prices are reasonable be prepared to spend. I've shopped at Bin Ends probably a half dozen times and spent a fair amount of money buying wines I hoped would be a good bargain, or at least be drinkable. Unfortunately, my last purchase of a case of mixed wines, were mostly undrinkable, primarily due to oxidation (i.e. think of red wine vinegar). If you want to buy a $400 case of red wine vinegar then this is your place. Otherwise I suggest finding a reputable seller that will sell a good product at a fair price. read more

I don't know jack about wine but I have some friends who do and buying wine for them (birthday tradition) can be intimidating. Enter Bin Ends. They are so nice and don't make me feel stupid. I love how they don't have run of the mill stuff, which I surely end up choosing in other liquor stores since I'm a sucker for advertising. They have very cool unusual beer and had 2 types of gluten free beer I've never seen before. If you're relegated to gluten free beer then you know how excellent this is. My favorite wine store by far. As others had posted, there last Sunday of the month tastings are awesome, great deals on wine and they also carry a lot of wine that most stores do not. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and do not try to upsell you. Also mentioned on yelp is they have great case deals like "the Australian mystery case" I just bought 12 bottles for $36. Although it is a mystery which exact bottles you get they do let you know that at least 1 bottle is $20 reserve and the other bottles retail between $10-$20. I don't drink wine. So, I never probably would have thought of going to this store. But, my work recently moved to Braintree, and gave us a bunch of information on nearby businesses. In the brochure for BinEnds, it mentioned craft beer. I love beer, so that piqued my interest. About a week later, my husband and I were on the hunt for beer from a small brewery and were striking out all over, including our usual go-to spots. So, I called BinEnds. The guy I talked to (Dan, I think), was super nice and helpful. He told me they didn't have it in stock, but he'd ask around for it and give me a call if they got it in stock. A week later, he called and left me a message saying they got it in. So, I drove over there and found a whole display of exactly what I was looking for. I brought it up to the register, and the woman there was super nice (She even asked if I was the one who called about the beer). It is a pretty small store, and mostly dedicated to wine. But, they have a lot of craft beers I haven't seen in other stores. I didn't spend a lot of time browsing since I knew what I was there for, but they had a pretty decent selection and reasonable prices. And, no wasted space on big name, low flavor beers. They also have other liquors, as well. Because of their awesome customer service and awesome beers, I will definitely be frequenting this store now. read more

I used to work on Wood Rd. and would love to browse this store. If you don't know much about wine, they are more than willing to help. If you're going to buy a gift and let them know what your recieving is into, they will make suggestions that you will be proud to give. I think it's fantastic that they have tastings on most Sundays, specials on their already marked down prices, and it's a lot of fun for free! There is a bottle of Spanish red that I buy there (it has a big "C" on it) and it's usualy only $6!!! read more

This is my main place for wine now. They even have a great selection of imported beers (belgian, french, british, etc.) and sake. There are wine tastings every day and some days they even have beer tastings! The staff here are very helpful and nice. Place is great! Superb selection of wine, spirits and beer.

This is such a wonderful place not necessarily because they have good prices (which they do!) but because the staff is just so knowledgeable. Unlike the typical liquor store where nobody knows squat about wine, the people at Bin Ends are all wine nerds like me, and make good recommendations based on what I like to drink. They very often have screaming deals on stuff you just won't find anywhere else, like Burgundy. Some reviewers have complained that their prices aren't always rock bottom. Sure, not every wine they carry is super discounted--but those tend to be the regular ones they always have in stock, and their price is still competitive. So if you like it, chances are they will still have it next month. The really discounted stuff is the "bin end" stuff that is gone when its gone. And believe me when I tell you that I have kicked myself several times for not buying a whole case of something that was on sale, only to go back and not be able to get any more. (Vosne Romanée for $40 a bottle for example). In the super cheap category, I bought a case (12 bottles!) of excellent Petite Syrah for $60!! That's $5 a bottle, man! So go check it out and be sure to ask questions--the staff is cool. read more
