Lunch at work was easy- salads, sandwiches, hot meals- you name it! Now I find myself working in Canton where the options are, to say the least, limited. Luckily for me, there's Page's and their deli counter. Between the ever changing hot food selection and enormous sandwiches, I'm happy again. For $5.99 you get a large sub packed with so much meat you'll have a hard time figuring out how to eat it. And the hot food selection is large and ever changing- No complaints there. Plus they have salads, if you're into that kind of thing. If you're looking for recommendations, try the meatballs. Or the hot roast beef. Or one of the hot dinners. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and PS. as a grocery store, it seems to have the basics covered, but I wouldn't rely on this place exclusively. The liquor side of things seems to be pretty well covered. And if you need a place for some scratch tickets or some light gambling, feel free to stop by here too.

So it's a liquor store, I 'll keep it brief. The beer shelves are filled with a good variety of beer, lots of New England breweries represented and plenty of local favorites. I also like a good bourbon. You can get Makers Mark and Knob Creek anywhere but here there are 30 other bourbon brands some with crazy names and colorful label's. (But not as nuts as beer labels which are absolutely insane.) Huge wine selection but I know nothing about wine except I hate Manashevitz. They have a whisky tasting event Sat, I think I'm down for that. I suggested via FB IM that they do a craft beer tasting. Lots of local breweries and of course the giant AmBev who've bought up 10 breweries would represent. They said they would consider it. I get it beer sales are slumping overall and wine and spirits are up and margins matter.. so who knows. One thing I know is that this isn't Total Wine but its pretty good for my neck of the woods!

Parking was a breeze in their spacious private lot so getting in/out was simple. I like that. Once inside I navigated my way around fairly easily. I grabbed what I needed and made my way to the checkout. I also grabbed a few gift bags for wine that I purchased elsewhere for holiday gifts. Check out was quick and easy. They carded me which I thought was some sort of joke at first but later realized that's the law as they have to scan your ID. Not a problem and it didn't slow down the process. The cashier was friendly and had that Bostonian accent that I love because it reminds me of my mother. I recommend them and will be back myself the next time in the area.

I definitely would recommend this place to anyone.

You can even find some of the more popular choices in the cold case as well stocked on the shelves. The liquor wall offers an extensive variety as well; flavored vodkas, rums, whiskey, etc. I don't buy small (nips) bottles of liquor often, but I did notice the large variety. Catching on to a theme here? Albeit small this place is packing in a ton of product and variety! I find the prices to be about average for the area and other surrounding shops. The staff is also super helpful and will gladly order you anything if they don't stock it themselves. There is a small selection of gifty type items as well as mixers for cocktails, including limes.

There are places within walking distance and closer to where I live. What really makes this place stand out are: Friendly owners Reasonable prices Wide selection Let's take the first one. From what I gather this place is owned by a family. They are always very friendly when ringing up my purchases. You actually feel good bantering back and forth between them and you (or me, the customer in this case.). I had a question once about a price over the phone for some vodka. Even over the phone they are friendly. They seem very much like the family next door. Ok, the prices. Well, the prices are reasonable compared to other places I have been. Granted it's sometimes a difference of a few dollars for, say a Jack Daniels. Still, they seem to have the cheapest prices for a 750 ml bottle. Now, they will range depending on what you need. Obviously a bottle of Hennesy (first example that pops in my head......) will be more than a bottle of Jim Beam (which I also happen to like). This brings me to my last point. Selection. You need a good wine to bring to a party for cheese and crackers or a good pasta dinner? Want a beer to go with that cook out in the summer? Absolutely can't be without a gin for mixed drinks? Look, they have it here. The place is clean and always well stocked. So, how do I get there? Well, if you are without wheels (as I am for the time being), you can take the 240 T bus down to Crawford square. Get off and you are right there, next to the Parthenon restaurant and close to the library. By car, just go down main st and they have their parking lot out back. I've been going here awhile and they seem to do a brisk business. This is not to knock other package stores near me. They are also good and I hope to do reviews for them soon. Although, if you are looking for that one place that sets itself apart, this is the place. I get no compensation of any kind for this review. I just like to pass along praise and recognition to somewhere that more than deserves it.
