My favorite wine store! I'm filling out a rebate card and figured I'd share an awesome experience- For starters, I didn't know that Belle Glos makes a Rosé until Whitney introduced me, and I love it! Bin Ends had a limited stock of it, and Whitney not only put together 2 cases for me, she also set me up with a rebate to get $30 back on 6 bottles! The wine itself was only $14/bottle (compared to $20 at Total Wine!?), and after the rebate, it dropped down to $9!! What a score! I wish they had more.. This is my hidden gem for finding great deals and wines that I haven't been exposed to, so I'm glad it's tucked away where it's located.. Welcome to the Filene's Basement of Wine! The idea here is that unlike most wine stores that keep pretty much the same wines on hand, Bin Ends is going to get a set amount of wine, priced very reasonably then every 3 weeks, it make it 10% cheaper, until they are totally sold out! So the game is, a bottle is Crios Torrontes is a good deal now at $12, but can you wait 3 weeks to see if you can get it for less? The edges of the store are organized by region and then scattered through the middle are some especially great deals. I found a Layer Cake Malbec I never even knew existed and was impressed at how many good bottles were in the store with about 50% of them marked at $16 or less! Not sure what to get? They always have about 6/8 bottles open for you to try and soon will have tasting machines with 8 white and 8 red wines! Then, in the back, you will find a bin that truly fits the name of the store. bin end (plural bin ends) def: last bottle of batch of wine: one of the last bottles remaining from a single production of wine, often sold at a reduced price Because Craig the owner used to deal with the import/distribution side of wines, he has all sorts of connections and can get the "bin ends" of lots of great wines and then offer them to you for about 50% of the price! We are talking $150 dollar wines for $75, $45 dollar wines for $22! Tyler B is a huge wine guy and was rooting around in the bins for over 20 minutes! I would give the place 5 stars, but I live in the city and so to get out here it look a car and some planning -- but if you have a car and are looking for good deals, this is a great place to go. Bin Ends is a great spot to find great wines at affordable prices, get down to earth advice on finding the right wine for you, and deal with wonderful and friendly staff that is knowledgeable and accessible. In addition, they carry a great selection of craft beers and craft spirits, in case you are interested in stocking up in other ways. Definitely tucked away, but worth the trip. You have to have an open mind to trying something new, and can't be disappointed if there are times where you find a new favorite and then never see it again - that's part of the genius of the model, to find "partial bins" or otherwise have relationships where the wholesaler is moving things at a discount, and then pass on the savings. Bin Ends is my go-to wine store. They have fine wine tasting every month and you can sample about 25 wines "for free". By this I mean by the end you'll be a little buzzed up and you'll probably end up spending more than you bargained for! But hey, it's not like it goes bad. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. What a hidden gem and a poor drunk's dream come true! During brunch, my friends told me about this wine store in Braintree that has a system similar to the Filene's downtown. Every few weeks, this retailer puts a discount on a good portion of their wines. A few weeks later, they give a bigger discount on those wines, till they're pretty much all gone. As soon as we walked in, one of the owners, John, came up to us and introduced himself. Then he started to explain the whole process and why they got into the business. So cool. You never see customer service like this anymore. This place is fantastic for all you wine lushes. Discounts galore and you get to walk around the whole store exploring different wines while sampling the ones availabe. It's a wino's dream come true! Last time I went, I tried an allspice liquor. Morgan F. has already explained the discount process so I won't repeat it. The store is actually a warehouse and is separated by regions. There's also some more obscure and local liquors, along with a nice selection of beers over to one side of the wall. The prices are absolutely amazing, too. I love my cherry Lambic. I usually end up buying it in Trader Joes, where it's fairly cheap. No more. Bin Ends is 10% less. And they sell Veuve Clicquot for the amazingly low price of $36 (normally $50). As soon as I saw this, the first thing out of my mouth was, "OMG WOW!", which is apparently a common reaction in this store. We also saw many bottles around $100-150 marked to half the price. I can't wait to buy a couple of high end bottles there and share for a special occassion. It may be slightly out of the way but it's absolutely worth the trip. If you plan to make a huge wine run, the savings on wine more than make up for gas. read more

2 weekends, close to $400.00, and nearly 3 cases of wine ... i'm not really sure what to think of this place. /sarcasm. if you like wine, you owe it to yourself and arguably your wallet (and, arguably, not your wallet) to check this place out. a well curated selection which eschews the big labels in favor of more unusual selections from around the world awaits you. once a month, their suppliers come in for a wine flea market where, if you're not careful (or even if you are), you will sample a solid 40 - 50 wines (eat lunch first, dude) and buy them because you're half in the bag and they're being sold at steep discounts from distributors who want to sell off the last odds and ends they're holding on to. the staff (and distributors at the flea market) really love wine and are ridiculously knowledgeable about their products. giving up the email address at checkout will allow bin ends to track every bottle you've bought from them so you actually have a chance at running down "that nice little malbec i bought about a month ago" after you've finished the bottle and forgotten the name. bin ends also offers a great selection of craft beers, some bigger brands, and liquor though there isn't really a discount on those. so, take a little trip up wood road in braintree, pull into the lumber liquidators parking lot, have a "where the hell am i?" moment, walk in anyway, and discover this little gem. read more

I like trying new wine, but I find it quite difficult to select wines on my own. Bin Ends makes it easy with their 6-pack Picks, you just need to trust 'em. I say: trust away! Staying at a hotel across the street. I'm what you could affectionately call a beer snob, and always looking for interesting brews you can't get at home. Looked up craft brews on yelp and walked across the street to see their selection. It's not huge, however, what they do have is very nice (I didn't even see pbr as another review complained). I grabbed 2 bombers, an alesmith which I have never seen in jersey and clown shoes which is starting to come down but way overpriced in jersey. Both were American pale ales. The girl at the counter looked at what I had and recommended a rare beer they had which I of course took. Rule.. Small but quality selection of craft brews and a staff who knows what they are talking about.u read more

A little off the beaten track and for scotch drinker's not worth the trip. They have a weird collection of scotches that do not include the common brands. When I mentioned this to the store, they got insulted. They asked me what I wanted. I mentioned five different brands that they did not have, three common brands and two high-end brands. They claimed that they had those brands but they were never found. Additionally, the prices were not that good. All in all I was disappointed. They do have plenty of parking. read more

This is a perfect place to come for wine tasting. On the last Sunday of each month they have a huge tasting. The location isn't fancy by any means but some of the wines are. You can taste some really expensive wines that you might not ever try otherwise. We tried a $100 bottle of Amarone that was incredible. We didn't buy it. But we did splurge on 2 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino. There are too many wines to taste them all (at least for someone like me who finds something wrong with the idea of "spitting"). So, my advice to you is to skip ahead to the end - that's where you'll find the higher end wines. That's not to say the cheaper wines aren't great too. They are. I just like the idea of trying wines I may not be able to afford otherwise. The staff here is incredibly nice and helpful. Once we went in and talked to the guy there about what we liked and he offered to put together a mixed case for us of his recommendations, based on what we told him. We decided on an average price of $15/bottle which gave him some leeway to go above and below on some selections. Each time we opened a bottle at home it was a complete surprise of what we'd be getting. Some were terrific and we made a note of them. Others, not as great but none were terrible. It was a really fun way to buy wine and we're almost out of that case so it's time to try this method again. read more

I've heard good things about Bins End but never went until the day we needed booze. Lots of booze for our wedding. We already had the wine but needed the beer. We met Matt and he helped us out. We picked 3 beers and bought 21 cases (7 of each variety). The guys here are super friendly and even gave us a discount without us asking! They have a great selection of craft beers and staff is very knowledgeable. If you are not into beer, they have wine. lots of it. When they have their flea markets, you can get stuff for cheap and stock up! This is now our go to place for booze. There's always something new to try! read more

I usually try and get most my wine from Trader Joe's because there are so many cheap wines to try - I have to exhaust trying all of those and every now and then I'll get classy. Bin ends is more expensive than Trader Joe's, but it is not really a fair comparison - Bin Ends isn't trying to provide the average joe with 2 buck chuck, they provide nicer wines at a discount. I usually get a few bottles in the $8-$15 dollar range - they have a good amount of nicer/more expensive bottles, but I tend to stay with my philosophy of trying a lot of the lower priced options, because they are still good options. I need to start taking wine notes, but I have been very pleased with the wine I have purchased here. They also have a wall of specialty beers. I like that the layout of the store and the staff is always friendly and ready with suggestions if you ask. I'm a fan! read more

FYI2: At the check out, they get u on the mailing list (if u want) FYI3: At the check out, they can keep a record of what you have bought in case you forget the names when you go back looking for the same thing...What a great idea! Watch ur liquor prices if you are concerned about that as they were pricer than other shops I have shopped at. Like many people have already said, Bin Ends is an awesome place to get great wines for great prices. But what I wanted to touch upon is in response to another review saying they carry wine no one else seems to want. This is not true-they carry wines from new vineyards and beer from local breweries. True they don't have the typical wines you drink on a daily basis, but thats not why you go there. You go to Bin Ends to snag a new wine for a great price. All of the employees there are VERY friendly and know lots about all of the wines in the store. And are always more than willing to give you a new recommendation based on what you like to drink. The best way to get the best deals is to sign up for their mailing list or check out their website, where you can get cases of wine for CHEAP. If you are also on their mailing list, when you make purchases at the store, they will add the wine you bought to your "Wine List" so incase you forgot that name of the wine all they have to do is look it up. It is a great way to keep track of the wines you like. Even if their prices go up, I would pay the extra money to buy my wine from them because of how friendly and knowledgeable they are. Ive been going here for quite some time now, and can't see myself every shopping for new wines at any other place. read more

Bin Ends is a small liquor store in Braintree that I heart. Really, really, heart. They not only have wines on super sale, but everyone who works there is also very knowledgeable about every piece in their store (which is how it should be). I can ask any of their staff something along the lines of "can you find me a good pinot grigio that's delicious with mussels and also under $15?' - and they do it. Every single time. Booyah! Their wine selection is fairly limited, probably due to space issues, but I have no concerns that I won't walk out of there with something delicious each and every time I visit. They also have a pretty good selection of craft beers and it's super unpretentious - it looks more like a warehouse than a store, which is comforting in a way. Once per month (or so), they do a free wine tasting. You go, taste as many wines as they have available and then you can purchase the wines that you just tasted. However, the wines at said tastings aren't typically stocked wines, so you have to place an order and come back in a week or so to pick your goodies up. read more

The same feeling I had when I was a child walking into KB Toys, I have when I visit Bin Ends. A feeling of excitement, and curiosity. What will I find within the racks and racks of bottles? A rare Mystic Brew? A hard to find vino? A generous tasting event? Who Knows! That is part of the fun. My love of Bin Ends is directly correlated with my new found interest in local breweries. Bin Ends has it all - The before mentioned Mystic and Jack's Abby, but also Nightshift, Berkshire, Cambridge Brewing, Idle Hands, Notch, and Spenser Trappist - just to name a few. They also stock my favorite local ciders - Bantam and Downeast. For those not so locally focused- their Dogfish Head, Maine Brewery, and import selections are also quite impressive. Bottles, and 6 packs err anywhere from $1-4 cheaper than your regular liquor store. For wine enthusiasts, I imagine this place is some sort of grape infused heaven. Rare, cheap, hard to fine bottles galore. Ditto the hard liquor selection. Staff are ridiculously nice. You tell them what you like, they will talk to you for a good half an hour about it, and find you what you are looking for. If you give them your contact info, they will collect info on your purchases, in order to fine tune their suggestions for you. Store is spacious and neat, and airy. No dusty bottles or depressing lighting in sight. If there was an adult "toy" store, this is it. Go here, and be merry. read more

Some reviewers complained that you won't find economical and popular brands but that's not what this place is about. What you will find are good quality (for the most part, choose wisely) wines at discounted prices. I did find a few "old familiars" but you won't find Woodbridge and YellowTail here. This place defines the words clutch, secret stash and oasis. This gem is located directly across the street from the hotel I always stay at and damn is it a sight for sore eyes. Blows my mind that such a place exists for me to stumble upon. HUGE selections of premium 750mL Brews, Bourbons/Whiskeys & Wines. Also, they have wine tasting per week that seem to attract large numbers of winos. I always stop in when I arrive and stock up on whatever I decide to sip all week while in town. Bin Ends is super easy to get to and has a great selection of alcohol that I've never seen or heard of before! Which equals awesomeness...because I love trying new things! Went in here last weekend and copped 2 bottles of white, a bottle of Rose, a bottle of red and a bottle of Champagne. In addition I got a large bottle of 'Pretty Things- Baby Tree' Beer and a bottle of Ayinger Bavarian Oktoberfest Beer. GREAT! Well a little less than a week later (I swear I'm not an alcoholic) it's all gone except the Champagne! And it was all lovely and only $75 for everything! I first read about Bin Ends on Yelp and I was surprised I hadn't heard about it around town a long time ago. It is sort of tucked away on Wood Road and when I pulled up I wondered if I was in the right place... it sounded so fantastic that I wondered why I was the only person in the parking lot. Both the employees who were in the store at the time made themselves available but let me feel totally comfortable browsing around for 20 minutes. I can't believe this place has been here for almost a year and I just discovered it! I've been searching high and low for a good wine shop in the Quincy/Braintree area without any luck. Low and behold it's been under my nose the whole time and located about 2 minutes from my office and home! I'm excited I no longer have to go into Best Cellars in Boston and lug bottles of wine home on the T! I love that they have daily tastings and offer a limited (in terms of numbers) but vast (in terms of never heard of or seen before) selection of wines. The wine tasting event I attended on Saturday was great. I'd actually had at least one of the wines in the past but discovered three new wines that I'm looking forward to trying again. We absolutely love Bin Ends. We initially came in primarily as bargain hunters and there are indeed bargains galore. We've bought outstanding wines that we've had people rave over for $10 or less. And they have the finest wines as well...consistently at significantly lower prices than you'll find at your neighborhood liquor store. We love their broad international selection which is especially superlative. But what we especially value is that their staff, every single person on the floor, is incredibly knowledgeable. It's a store full of sommeliers. You just tell them the kind of wine you're looking for and your price point and they will find you your best possible choice. They've never gotten it wrong for us. OMG - I'm in heaven. My 1st visit to Bins End was just this past Saturday. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in and was given a brief introduction to the store layout (by countries) and how the store as well as their wine rotation works (wines change about once a month). They had about 10 bottles of wine at the counter should you want to taste before purchase. I tasted a Bully Hill bottle of Traminette that was a semi dry bottle of white that had aromas of lychee and peach. Delish with a spicy meal! It was only $7.50 - what a deal. I need to go back and buy a few more bottles before they sell out. I walked out of the Bins End with 4 bottles of wine (2 reds and 2 white) spending under $45. All of them were good. Needless to say, I was happy. Great wine, great price. Every wine lover should check this place out. The employees are knowledgable and give great recommendations. Granted, it may be more convenient for some of you to just go to Best Cellar or Trader Joe's for low cost wine. But if you like Best Cellars and Trader Joe's, you will love Bins End. Definitely make a trip down to Braintree for this place, it's worth it. read more
