Lucky's has been the epitome of convience in my neighborhood since I was a kid. (It used to be a…read moreGulf gas station actually several years ago) It's been so convienent growing up in an area with a 24 hour small town gas station. Yeah it's easy to say there's a kwik trip or holiday not to far down the road. Or if you're hungry and it's late night there's several fast food places that arn't too far. But Lucky's has always been the most convient for me while on my home at 3,4 or 5 am after a night of drinking and smoking. The ATM here is a TCF ATM which is nice because that's who I bank with. There is a single bathroom for paying customers only. During the summer they serve live bait, I haven't bought bait from here in years so I don't know how good of bait it is. The place is a little aged and not the most up to date gas station but that's quite all right by me. The only negative thing I have to say about this is one of the cashiers isn't very good at counting money. She takes her time and I've even had to tell her what to give me back in change. I guess basic math isn't her strong suit. She annoys me a bit but I don't mind too much. Overall, this small gas station has been a convient stop in my neighborhood for over 20 years. Don't change Lucky's, don't change.

Normally I receive good customer service until yesterday morning!!! I purchased 2 powerball tickets…read more(and gas) and was told it would be $8 for the tickets. I said no it should be $4. The cashier began to argue with me. She finally said "you'll have to wait for me to fix it". I thought she was only to help the customers that were already forming a line but NO she helped everyone who had just walked in. I said are you really going to make me wait. She said "yes I am". I replied to don't think that's fair. She yelled MA'AM I'm only one person. I said I understand but this was your mistake and I don't think I should have to wait this long. She again yelled MA'AM & still continued to help people who just walked in the door. I now become very frustrated and just said fine I will just pay for my gas. I told her I was disappointed with the customer service that I received. She (again yelling at me) says "I provided great customer service now get out of my store. After I got into my car and drove away I realized she charged me an extra $2 for my gas. Needless to say I will never return to my neighborhood convenience store

Despite my variety of choices, I bypass all of these stores to go to Clark (also known as Amy's Mini Mart). From the outside, Clark appears to be a tiny inconspicuous gas station that would make for a convenient stop for a Snickers bar. In the inside, Clark provides more than instant gratification for a sudden sweet tooth. My basis for declaring my loyalty to this establishment come from three appeals. 1) Price: Though Clark is not the cheapest gas station available to me but it is the cheapest in my immediate area. The food and drinks within the store cost about as much as they would at any other convenience store. Though s few of the items exclusive to Clark are much cheaper than their name brand counterparts so i like to take advantage of that possibility when i can. 2) Friendliness: After being a regular patron of this gas station since the spring of 2010, the faces of those that work there have become all too familiar. Some of them I even know by name. I can easily strike up a conversation with any of the employees, even the ones i don't know as well as others. No matter who's working I always feel comfortable and welcome as I walk through the doors. 3) Quality: I'm well aware that Clark is a gas station, not Olive Garden. I don't expect nor claim that their merchandise is high end or superb. I will claim, however, that I thoroughly trust that whatever I happen to buy there will be fresh and satisfying. There is no surprise that going to Clark on a daily basis over the span of six or so months has proved it to be my favorite gas station. But without the aforementioned reasons, I wouldn't be so adamant about upholding my daily ritual. As long as Clark stands at the corner of Douglas and Brittany Drive, you can expect me to see me there once (possibly twice) a day.
