I needed push piers to stabilize my home's foundation, and after getting several quotes, I chose…read moreGroundworks. Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

Hired this company and Gary Rotondo for a major job. He cut obvious corners. He did not pull…read morepermits even though he is licensed to do so. As a result, I had to deal with penalties and violations from the township that cost me more time and money. Gary took months to perform a job because he put me on the back burner in favor of getting new work from other potential customers as opposed to finishing the job he had with me. A three week job took eight months, contrary to his promise, and his excuse is that he has to prioritize trying to rope in more customers over taking care of the ones he has. Unlike performing the work and getting the job done, when it comes to the payment amount and schedule, Gary is always on time, even coming to your house late at night and on weekends to insist on cash, and calling and texting you incessantly. The guys Gary uses for labor are the same guys you can find yourself looking for an honest day's pay, and on top of all that, Gary verbally abuses and berates them. What is the point of hiring Gary when you can just pick up those guys, treat them well, pay them the same or a little more than what Gary does, and get your job done quickly all while saving the premium Gary charges for himself? Terrible. Never again.
