Disappointed with Sam, very inconsistent returning calls. We get it, you're a driving instructor;…read moretherefore, you can't always return calls promptly, but you prefer texts? Sure hope you're safely texting and not driving while texting. Furthermore, he only takes cash or checks, what's that about? If owners prefer cash only, it's easier to shield from income taxes, and they can report less earnings than they actually are & pay less income taxes. Things that make you go hmmmm??? He also has no decal displayed on his vehicle indicating "student driver", or company logo...absolutely nothing. Search on Yelp for other driving schools, highly recommend going with https://coastlineacademy.com. They offer feasible package deals, whereas Sam's rates are highway robbery (cash or check with no receipt provided). Coastline Academy takes all major credit cards. Coastline offers many instructors to choose from and flexible hours to fit your teenager's busy schedule. The vehicles are all decked out with their company logo/advertisement, very safe. The signage alone makes others aware there's a rookie student driver, so beware. They also send you a lesson report afterwards, so parents are aware of the grade, along with the child. It provides both positive feedback and constructive criticism, something this instructor doesn't understand. Be safe and see you on Yelp (SYOY)!

Very impressed with Riva Davia driving school. My daughter just finished her 3rd and final driving…read morelesson with them and immediately passed her DMV license test. The instructors were really helpful in her journey. Some points I found particularly impressive: 1) they took her on the highway for the first time, this felt safest for us all (having someone who could take over if needed at high speeds!) 2) on one occasion they pulled over and instructor drew on paper how and where to begin a turn in an intersection. this visual demo really stuck with her and was helpful. 3) on her last lesson, they drove to the DMV test to get test day specific help including where to go, what roads they might be driving on, what are some areas others often get tripped up. there were other examples of really helpful lessons but I cannot remember. I also liked that this company in particular was incredibly easy to book an appointment with! others I found were booked out too far in advance. they also always showed up on time and used the full lesson time. All in all, I highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience with Yancarlos and passed my first behind the wheel test with him!…read more I'm new to the US and have a license from another country, but wanted to have a couple of classes before attending a test since some rules are different here and I needed to get used to it. Yancarlos explained all the rules thoroughly, took me to the test area to drive around to make sure I understand the possible errors and prepared me in every possible way. He's also great to talk to, and it was great to spend the test day with him while waiting in the Daly City DMV line. Highly recommend to all drivers, novice and experienced alike.

I got my DUI in may of 2007 and I was court orderd to attend 15 weeks of drinking and driving…read moreeducation. I thought that the video's were a little bit out dated and the topics that were discussed were a littple bit off topic (like the dangers of smoking and drinking too much coffee). But I guess the educational portion could of been worse I guess. The group portion was a little bit uncomfortable because I was trying to stay sober at the time and hearing people glorify their drinking during the week was kind of hard to sit through. During my time at the class there was a lot of mention about the program sponsoring ticket sales of a house that was being auctioned off near Muffin Mania in San Rafael, which got really old hearing about all the time. I think that the staff there was helpfull and seemed nice. I really enjoyed the insturctor during the educational portion. She seemd really sweet and someone you could have sunday brunch with. Overall a sweet old lady. However the instructor during the group portion seemed a little too opinionated and a little weird. I guess he was ok, a little old and a little crazy. The old location which is listed here was a bad local because it was located in the heart of the canal in San Rafael. I remember I got my car broken into at the Bowling Ally near by so its good that they moved to an office near Home Depot. I say that I am a fan because I really lucked out and had a good group of people who were there with me, sharing in my discomfort and court ordered expearience however, I don't think anyone in that room would of associated with eachother normally. ***Thanks for the Memories***

Hypnotherapy Training Institute

Hypnotherapy Training Institute

I was completely unprepared for what would unfold during my time at the Hypnotherapy Training…read moreInstitute (HTI). When I enrolled, I was already practicing some hypnotherapy as an adjunct to my EFT counseling practice, and I wanted to take my knowledge a little deeper. After attending the info session, I signed up and waited six months, knowing the institute had international renown. I assumed I'd get some solid professional training out of it. Little did I know what awaited me. After just a few weekends in the local Weekend Program, it became clear why HTI consistently shows up in the top three recommended programs--and why many consider it the very best place to train. 1. Breadth and Depth of Training What sets HTI apart is its truly integrative orientation. Students are exposed to a wide range of schools of thought (e.g., Ericksonian, transpersonal, and more) as well as diverse domains of practice (e.g., medical hypnosis, stress resilience, deep emotional clearing, resolving inner conflicts, hypnosis for problem-solving). Like any serious graduate-level study, it's up to each student to dig deeper into particular approaches of interest--but HTI provided quality resources at every step of the way. More importantly, the curriculum emphasizes practice. We had abundant supervised sessions and received thoughtful, detailed feedback. Few training programs in hypnotherapy can say the same. This emphasis on practical application--alongside the solid theoretical foundation--taught me to listen deeply, attune to the client, and meet them exactly where they are. 2. Confidence in Practice Because HTI grounds students in principles rather than rigid techniques, I developed the freedom and intuition to use whatever works best for each client. The training is structured in such a way that I've naturally found my way into my own unique style or practice. I now feel 100% confident walking into sessions with clients presenting novel or complex issues, knowing I can skillfully navigate and facilitate meaningful outcomes: blindfold me, spin me around, and drop me in an unfamiliar place with a new client and a novel issue, and I am confident that I can facillitate an amazing process for them. Before HTI, I was preoccupied with "doing it right." Now, that anxiety has been replaced by a simple guiding question: What would make this even more excellent and helpful for my client? What a beneficial and meaningful shift for clients to have a therapist that has her eyes on that! This shift is priceless. It allowed me to see hypnotherapy as much an art as it is a science, and it gave me the confidence to trust my skills in any situation. 3. Faculty and Mentorship The depth of the curriculum reflects the hearts and minds of those who teach it. Each instructor has a unique style, and I've learned something invaluable from every one of them. I truly feel I stand on the shoulders of giants. I found the faculty to be very personable and professional, both. It would be hard to overstate how profound Randal's (the founder's) presence is--his passion, his dedication to the work, and his unflagging commitment to his students. He taught me to stand for each client I serve, to bring love and integrity to the work, and to listen so deeply that the next step in the session becomes self-evident. 4. Transformative Impact In my professional life, I strive for excellence and integrity. I found HTI to be a shining example of both. For perspective: my Master's degree in transformative psychology and learning cost me about $60,000. HTI tuition was a fraction of that--and I would value it at $80,000 or more, given the training and personal development it offers. In truth, HTI developed me far more than graduate school. The impact was not just professional but deeply personal. Because I was continually being hypnotized and developed by both staff and peers, my own life transformed in ways I can barely put into words. Without exaggeration, I now divide my life into "Before HTI" and "After HTI." 5. Balanced Notes If I had to offer a critique, it would be small things: Randal's preference for chairs in rows instead of circles, or wishing lunch breaks were a bit longer. That's it! *** If you're considering, do it. May you find the courage to take the leap into this exquisite world beyond your imagination. For me, HTI was one of the best decisions of my life.

I trained at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute and had an outstanding experience. The instructors…read moreare excellent, and the training is truly client-centered, coming from the heart while still being rigorous, practical, and grounded in real-world application. The in-person experience and curriculum are what set HTI apart. You're trained to think critically and respond to each client's needs in real time, not just apply techniques mechanically. The result is a program that consistently develops some of the best hypnotherapists in the world. Beyond the professional training, I met incredible people and experienced personal growth I never would have expected. This program set off both my career and my life in powerful ways. If you're committed to becoming an effective hypnotherapist, or even your own healing, I can't recommend it highly enough.
