They exceeded expectations on the key things we needed from a caterer: 1) Tom was easy to work with and made hosting our party so much easier, even adjusting to our last-minute RSVP's. 2) The tri-tip, chicken, beans and other sides we chose were excellent and all our guests enjoyed the food, and we're still enjoying the leftovers ;) Bill's Chuckwagon was everything I hoped it would be when I saw photos and reviews from their website. My wedding was just over a year ago at a venue just above Nevada City, and I am just now getting to review some of my wonderful vendors. Tom was awesome and easy to work with. I went to a wedding where BCWC catered in August 2013, looking through pictures and this is where I am now... onwards with the review on the food! ;) Food tasted superb! It was for a wedding party of about 60-100 guests, I'm guessing. Portabello mushrooms were THE BEST I've ever had! I'm not even kidding! They do their meats, sides, veggies, everything that I tried was delectable! Chicken breasts were moist! I like dark meat when it comes to chicken and I almost never ever would go for chicken breasts but these were mouthwatering juicy! OMG, steaks were yum! I'm not a big slab of meat ordering person but this beef was AMAZING! Everything was seasoned just perfectly so that the centerpiece of the food itself really shines through. read more

We hired Tom Stanley from Bills chuck wagon to cater our wedding in June that took place in grass valley at a private residence. All in all, they were an absolute delight to work with! Tom was always very easy to get in contact with and really worked with us to create the meal and overall experience that we dreamed of for our wedding. We went with the pulled pork and BBQ chicken sandwich for the dinner option, and Tom even accommodated our veggie guests by offering a portobello sandwich as well. We also used bills chuck wagon as our bar tenders, and they were such a joy to work with. In the end, we could not have asked for anyone better to cater our wedding for the price, experience, service, and ambience they created. We used Bill's Chuckwagon for our wedding. Sadly, I had the stomach flu, so I was unable to actually eat anything. However, other guests and my now-husband said that the food was delicious:) We had more than enough and were extremely happy with the service! In the process leading up to the wedding, Tom (owner) was responsive, accommodating, and flexible. He was generous when I changed my mind a few times and answered any questions I had. Tom came all the way out to Amador County from Grass Valley to cater my wedding and the food was absolutely amazing!! The buffet was set up so that all 140 people were able to get their food quickly and he was able to accommodate all of the vegetarians at our wedding!
