He seemed to do a good job when he did show up. It was an emergency and I had over half of the job's money. He said he'd wait 10 days to cash the final $1000 so I post-dated the check for payday. Then, 2 days prior to deposit over a weekend, he and his wife call and text my phone on a Saturday night; accusing me of stealing and "screwing" them as they tried to deposit my check 3 days prior to the post-date. OMG. I tried to tell them to discuss with their bank as they may be holding it and to just wait and see. I told them it's up to the bank on when to deposit post-dated checks and I have nothing to do about that. But they both wouldn't stop. Later that night, he called and admitted he was drinking and started yelling and slurring his speech; called me a thief and made judgements about me as I moved here and am a single mother. OMG. I could hear his wife yelling, "hang up the phone". Then she texted me later claiming she had his phone and continued to call me a thief. I felt very creeped out. I will now will have to see if his bank deposits the check on the next business day or if I have to write a new one. These people DO NOT know how to run a business. They bragged about only taking checks and say they charge more for credit cards; yet they don't advertise anywhere what surcharge they are doing. I should've looked for BBB owners or called more people than to answer some messenger note from a stranger on FB. Lesson learned. He installed a new unit... sober (I think) ... yet I'm sure I was over charged and later harassed and accused of being a thief. Who's the thief here? Keep looking. I'd rather pay top dollar for a guy with a store front than to take my chances with these two dysfunctional nutcases. I'm sure I'll never get an apology after their bank deposits my check next business day. I'm sorry, but a good install wasn't worth harassment and smearing my character just because the owner got drunk and can't run a business properly. Too risky. Now I wonder if I should have the install inspected by someone else. Ugh. - I just found him all over public records pa docket sheets. I shouldn't be surprised. I'm all for people cleaning up their act... but his harassment docket sheets go back decades. Don't hire this guy. I seriously am worried about safety. :(
