I just completed a full kitchen renovation with REICO and I was very impressed throughout the…read moreprocess. Our renovation was a complicated project, as it involved removing load bearing walls, adding support beams to the house's framing, and relocating a significant amount of plumbing and HVAC that services other areas of the house. My positive experiences with REICO was largely due to the people I worked with there. You will have a designer and a contractor assigned to your project. I highly recommend Lisa G. as the designer and Michael McD. as the contractor. They were a solid team that coordinated every step of the project and they have extensive experiences working together. The success of the project was highly dependent on them. Lisa was in charge of helping us design the kitchen and then coordinating the various stages of construction with the contractor. She was very knowledgeable about everything and was helpful in recommending design features. We met with her often to discuss the project and she came out to our house several times to take measurements, meet with our architect, and check in on the progress of the construction. The contractor was a master at his craft. We encountered a few unknown hurdles through the project, which we successfully navigated largely due to his recommendations and expertise. The quality of this contractor's work exceeded our expectations and he was able to complete the project within the promised time frame of 6-8 weeks. We were concerned about dust and he built a temporary wall to contain the dust, which went above and beyond in my opinion. He cleaned up every day and left our house spotless. The contractor completed the kitchen as close to perfection as you can get! REICO came recommended to me by a co-worker who had similar positive experiences with them. In terms of price, they weren't the cheapest but they were also not the most expensive. Their prices were competitive with other quotes we received. We chose them mostly on our comfort level with the people mentioned above, and we were glad we did. We did have a few very minor issues with the cabinets, which were damaged in shipment. They replaced them with no questions asked. Kitchen renovations will be one of the more stressful experiences you can have as a homeowner. All in all, our project wasn't stressful and proceeded as close to perfection as you can get. These positive experiences are what compelled me to write this review. I've attached a few pictures of our kitchen for your review.

We hired Reico (and worked with Cindy) for a full kitchen redesign, and the most important element…read morewe asked for was an island that would seat five people comfortably, with storage on one end. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

I will start by saying I am a perfectionist, so I have very high expectations when it comes to work…read morebeing done on my home. I have worked with two other contractors recently, and I can honestly say that they don't come even remotely close to the quality of work that Carlos and his crew provided. Carlos and Victor remodeled my entire bathroom, removing and reinstalling new tile, a vanity, mirror, light fixture, toilet and other bathroom accessories in addition to spackling and painting. From start to finish, Carlos demonstrated an extreme attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making sure everything was done properly. He does not cut corners, and he takes the time to do things the right way even when it requires extra effort. For example, he noticed that my bathroom floor was not properly leveled, something that could have easily been overlooked or simply worked around. Instead, he took the time to correct the problem and make sure everything was properly leveled before continuing with the project. He even painted door trim outside of my bathroom to make sure it transitioned well with the bathroom, something that was not his responsibility. That level of care and thoroughness is exactly what you hope for in a contractor. The spackling and painting were absolutely immaculate. I have hired professional painters in the past who did not come close to the quality of the paint job Carlos delivered. Painting is 90% prep work: sanding and spackling. You can tell when a contractor understands the difference prep work makes, and Carlos and his group certainly does. Carlos and his crew were also kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have working in my home. They were extremely conscientious about keeping everything clean throughout the project. In fact, I commented to my husband that my house looked cleaner after they left than it did before they started! Another thing that really stood out to me was the pricing. His prices are more than fair considering the quality of work, attention to detail, and level of care he provides. You TRULY feel that Carlos takes pride in his work and wants his customers to be completely satisfied with the finished product. It is VERY rare to find that these days. I could not be happier with the work C&N Construction LLC did for me. If you are are fussy about the details and looking for a contractor you can trust, who is meticulous, honest, thorough, reasonably priced, and genuinely cares about doing the job right, I would HIGHLY recommend Carlos and his crew. They exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely use them again for future projects.

I think that Carlos is very educated with construction and/ or a genius about fixing things. Carlos explained why we had a leak in great detail thoroughly before he fixed the problem. We had problems from the very…read morebeginning: he was slow to start, kept changing his mind about the game plan, complained about the fact that he could get no money up front--terms of the 203K that he had of course agreed to--and pressured us to give him significant up-front money to "help him start". He instructed me in June of 2024 to rush to buy materials for a small bathroom that was still mostly unfinished in April of 2025; that kind of thing happened multiple times. His workers were inadequately supervised, and he was difficult to reach, often saying things like I'm at a kid's soccer game, out to dinner with my daughter, etc. The way that 203K's work is that HUD inspectors come out at regular intervals to make sure that adequate work has been done to make a draw from the total budget. Joe did a bunch of stuff merely to look busy to justify the first draw, in August: a slap-dash exterior paint job over crumbling paint that made a mess and did not hold, for instance. Between the first and the second draw, there was slow but meaningful progress--but by then we were 5 months into a job that we were told would take 4-6 months, and nowhere near done. During much of that 3-month interval he had just one guy working on our huge project, an electrician. After the second draw, in late November, he basically just stopped working on the house. We were making double housing payments the whole time, of course, so we panicked. We were almost out of money. After numerous calls and messages failed to get him to pick up the pace, at the urging of our lender, we scheduled a third draw, 3 months after the second one. At that draw, the HUD inspector certified that no work had been done, so no funds would be paid out. That's when we finally worked up the nerve to fire him. It was terrifying, because our lender told us that we would have trouble getting anyone to take on such a large project with only what was left in the budget after Joe depleted it. By the grace of God, we did find one. He swept in and got the job done in about 4 months. We finally moved in almost exactly one year after closing. Of course we had two mortgage payments the whole time. The work could have been finished within 6 months, or close to it, if we had found a great contractor like the one we found after we fired Mr. Depiano. Working with Mr. Depiano was harrowing. We were newbs at this, and therefore easy to fool. DON'T MAKE OUR MISTAKE.
