Then, on top of that, they said they had a friend or coworker who would do it, but I never heard back from him either. They left me in a tough spot & at this point, I wouldn't even trust them with a down payment. These guys are a joke; don't hire them unless you want many headaches.

When he left we agreed he would send me a quote soon and the work would be done in mid Sep 25. Because I thought he would do a good job from the way he inspected the deck and proposed a reasonable solution, I continued to try to contact him. But his failure to every provide a quote or answer any of my attempts to contact him have resulted in my being in a tough situation to get anyone to do the work this year. My update to the initial review above is that Noe eventually texted me on 15 Sep and said "I took a few weeks off due to personal items." and indicated I should go with another contractor. It would have been nice if he had told me this a month earlier. I am very disappointed in my interaction with Lara Deck's and Exteriors.

The folks who were staying there at the time worked night shifts, sowhen Millersburg called to confirm the time and date, I said it would work as long as they came after 8:30 in the morning. The pounding started at 7:00 a.m. 2. I needed a roof replacement on my home property following a tornado. For some reason they painted the roof turbine to match the roofing materials , and that paint has long since peeled off. It would have looked better had they just left it. Even worse, is that the paint is now peeling off the fascia . I think this must be substandard materials , because I believe the material came prepainted. I recently contacted both the person who set up the work, and the person at the construction company who deals with these things. To date, I've not heard back from either one.

I hired them to remove and replace baseboards and door trim through Home Depot's Pro service. They double-booked the day my project was supposed to start and instead of rescheduling (which I offered), they sent the owner's brother-in-law - who doesn't even work for the company - into my home. He caused damage, and the work was sloppy and incomplete. The workmanship was terrible: - Boards weren't nailed securely - Large gaps between baseboards and walls - No caulking at seams - Only some nail holes filled - Some corners are mitered, others aren't - they're just boards stuck together for an unfinished, inconsistent look - They skipped spray painting the boards (as outlined in the contract), left several unpainted, and only painted the front face of others. After several text messages with Adam around my disappointment with the incomplete and sloppy work, they did offer to come back and fix things (contract has a workmanship guarantee) - but at that point, NO THANK YOU. The trust was gone, and I wouldn't feel comfortable letting them back in my home. I will likely have to rip half of it out and hire someone else to redo it - leaving me out a significant amount of money, and they don't care. Adam takes an 'Adam first' approach vs. a customer first approach as advertised. The finished product looks like a rushed DIY job I could've done myself. Unprofessional from start to finish.

We were in no real hurry but they went ahead and scheduled when the person was by himself and did not speak English. That language thing is not the issue...it is that they sent him alone knowing this. The fixes were made to some of the other work as it was done right the first time and this team made it seem like we should be happy they gave us something for free for it..some bracket for the gutter. There were times when -and I do understand family things that come up-that communication and follow up were awful. Lucky for us my husband works from home and can flex his schedule. We chose this team because they presented the scope of work so much better than anyone else and not based on the cost of the service alone. Too bad you didn't live up to that.
