Have been there 3-4 times before mainly to grab a drink and play pool/watch football. But this one time will be the last, a mistake in taking the order led to me not getting any food when our table was being served. After waiting for almost 20 min for it, I was not allowed to cancel, which was reverted back to me in a scornful manner, saying I'll have to pay for it anyways. The plates of the colleagues were being cleared off the table, i hadn't received my food yet and that too there wasn't a single apology/concern shown to me during that time. Only after some coercing from the colleagues around me, led for the order finally to come and was asked not to pay for it. But my 2 cents is you should have shown some concern or allowed me to cancel when I talked about it myself and I shouldn't have required my colleagues to step in and share their thoughts too. A beautiful park and zoo in Göteborg, and it's free!…read more Slottsskogen was the highlight of my visit to Göteborg as well as one of my favourite experiences on my trip to Europe. I highly recommend it, and if you only have time to do a couple of things while in Göteborg, Slottsskogen should be a priority. The park is huge--perfect for a picnic or a game of Frisbee, and there is a zoo (one of the oldest in Sweden, according to the website). It's a great way to spend a day, and best of all, it's free!

I love this place! Not much can beat a HUGE park in the middle of a city - being able to enjoy…read morenature at no cost is something I am a fan of. There are paths for walking/running/biking, there's a giant pond with birds and little boats, there is an area with animals like ELK!, there is a playground, there is plenty of room for picnicking... and more! The location of Slottskogen is also fantastic - from one end you can easily access the botanical gardens and from the other you can head directly into town. Whenever I am in Göteborg, this place is tops on my list!
