The only thing that was displeasing was some of the staffs appearances was off. I understand not everyone can dress the part but there was staff that looked like they just rolled out of bed, one guy in a classroom who was the obvious teacher/staff was sitting there rolling and twiddling his hair with the children just looking for his attention. I also noticed a lady who instructed the dance portion of the day had grabbed a little girl by her arm and displayed somewhat of aggression and frustration. Look I get it it's hard watching kids and many at that but it just didn't sit right with me. You can feel certain that this is by no means just a day care where children are "entertained" until you come to pick them up. This is both a learning and loving environment! We have been part of the SGA family (and yes! it is very much a family environment) for over 3 years and have watched both our children thrive, excel, be challenged, and most importantly be shown love and nurturing the entire time there. How many Pre-K schools can you say that about consistently? Not many in our experience. We have never had a problem with any teachers and there is very low turn over from the staff. The careful hiring by both the owner of the school and the director show the attention to detail in the selection of the people that are hired to "teach" (not babysit) and care for your children. The SGA culture seems to be right on mark and everyone working there is on the same sheet of music. What great leadership from the front office. I want to add that the school is orderly, very clean, the staff wears a colored uniform, the food made for the children is very healthy and taste good (my oldest said he wanted to go back there b/c the food is so good), the school equipment and property is up to date and well maintained. Safety and location of the school is A+ as well. My youngest boy spoke no Spanish when he started SGA and he has just graduated from SGA with a strong mastering of both the English and Spanish language. It is absolutely amazing to hear him speak small conversational Spanish with his teachers and other students. What a great springboard for him to continue and speak the language his entire life. What a great gift to give your child! There are so many fun events over the year that parents can attend such as children and teacher led plays, to fire trucks and fire fighters visiting the school, to the Spring Bike Rodeos, to summer splash days, to Christmas pageants, and the list goes on and on. If you are into nurturing and preparing your child for not just kindergarten, but life in general this academy and the wonderful staff there are just the right recipe for success for your little one.

Which he has never done, (this was weeks ago still until this day he has never bit himself, thriving at his new Montessori daycare) and we took him to a child psychologist and the doctor said my son did not but himself that was another child, my son was traumatized from the environment and what happened to him, they would call me asking for me to come pick him up because anytime he go into the classroom he'd scream and hit, he had a big bite mark on his arm that was bruised red and purple for over a week, he was scared of someone in there & again he has never and since then hasn't displayed any of these behaviors and the staff lied and when I asked for camera footage they said they don't have the recordings saved it's all live, but when i threatened to call the police and file a report all of a sudden they would be able to provide recordings. This place is shady, they're liars, they manipulate you. Everytime I walked into his classroom the children looked disassociated and scared. I have gone ahead and reported this facility. They're betting on CCS grants right now because closely they're not doing good, CLEARLY! You know they have the hardest job in the world so if they always are cheerful and smiling is a good sign! The menu here is great. I feel good that my children are getting a well balanced menu! And mom win for not having to cook or pack snacks!! The facility is nice and clean and never smells. I love the splash pad and the playground. It's well manicured and looks nice! My daughter loves it. The app is great they always keep you informed which is nice during the day when I'm missing my babies I always check the app for notifications and pictures!! The front desk ladies are amazing. They are always so on top of it and helped me apply for childcare aware with the military which was a pain and then always got me the paper work I needed and fast so THANK YOU! Daily event Each morning when we drop my son off, there is very few staff that have arrived to work. Because of this all of the children are blended in to one room. I have personally witnessed on multiple occasions at least 25 children to one overwhelmed looking "caregiver". I have also seen this towards the end of the day with 12 to 15 children and just one "caregiver". Event 1 My son came home with the worst diaper rash that I've ever seen on any of my children despite my wife and I's efforts to mitigate it as we saw it getting worse. Each time we would check him we discovered that he was always in someone else's diaper (not the ones we send) and that the inside of his cheeks weren't clean from prior movements. We then discovered that they don't have a changing table and thus they change my son standing up. Event 2 My wife picked up my son from daycare one evening, and he was sitting in the corner by himself, and appeared to be eating. He didn't immediately run to her which was odd so she asked the "caregiver" if he was eating. The "caregiver" replied, "yeah I think he's eating Play-Doh" my wife asked her why she would knowingly let a child eat Play-Doh as she took it away from my son and the "caregiver" responded, " Oh, I think he just put it in his mouth". my wife immediately went to the lady that sits in the front desk, her boss, and had the same conversation with her and to my wife's disbelief. The lady replied all of our " oh, the teacher probably knew it was nontoxic but I'll tell her that we don't encourage Play-doh eating" My wife explained that we do not want our son eating Play-Doh and ended the conversation. Event 3 We picked up my son with a scratch that went over his eye from the eyebrow down to under his eye and his entire side of his face bright red like he had been hit in the face (he's 2). He was telling us someone hit him. The "caregivers" had no idea how it happened nor did we get a call about what happened. Later that evening we see the report that said something along the the lines of he was scratched by a friend. This was it nothing more no call no nothing. Event 4 Tonight we picked up my son covered in Paint. His brand new shoes were covered. His shirt was covered, and his pants were covered. Everything about this tells me they're not watching my kid. Sending my child to a daycare that cost about $1200 a month should not result in me spending additional money to replace my children's clothing. Each evening when we pick up our son, he's not even being watched the "caregivers" seem to be more preoccupied with cleaning up the place so that they can go home then they are watching our children. Although I cannot speak to fact, for all hours of the day, I can speak to what I've personally seen. The place appears to be severely understaffed and the "caregivers" Appear to be damn near children themselves (very young adults). my wife and I are tired of it and even if this place was free I wouldn't send my child here. we will be pulling my son out in the coming weeks as a result of everything listed above.

They had a change of a director recently who let me just say is an absolute gem of a human being. She genuinely loves the children and the well-being of the children in school. My older daughter's teacher was fantastic from the get-go and within a few weeks , my speech delayed and extremely shy daughter started talking and thriving! She now won't be quite whereas for the first several weeks, she would not utter a single word. My younger daughter was in the pre primary class and it was an incredible blessing to have a change of staff. The old staff would leave my baby girl at the front door to cry for hours on end and right when I wanted to pull her out, I was informed that her after care teacher would be taking over. Let me just say, that this was the best thing that happened to us. My baby girl who absolutely despised going to school, suddenly began asking me to take her to school so she can see her "teacher". Ms. Vanessa genuinely bonded with their kids and created an experience of true joy for the kids and I am forever grateful for this transformation my daughter underwent! The after care staff has also been amazing as well! Ms. Grace, Ms. Alexis are champs for being so patient with the kiddos and engaging in creative activities. My kids are thriving and it's all because of the environment the new director, Ms. Erika created. Her number one concern is the well being of the kiddos and she is incredibly hands on! She has an incredible relationship with them and is actually one of the people my kids can't stop talking about! I can say Admin and teachers truly want your baby to be happy here and are willing to not only listen to your concerns and feedback but take action to correct things on their end. And yes, I'm a helicopter mom and it's very obvious and they don't judge (at least not to my face lol)
