Going throught a stairwell I come to a flat The ambience is completely different than expected! Not a business cooking scene, but a warm friendly privat location. For welcome you get some drinks and snacks. The soy onions were delicious!! Then, going to the next room, the cooking started One by one the people get small duties an you feel more and more comfortable. After the preparations everybody is allowed to do his own sushi role and surprisingly it works really well. I would have thought I would need at least 3 tries... After completing the sushi we went in the sitting room with splendid decorated dining table. For desert we had an excellent chocolate cake - without flour - but lots of butter and chocolate - great! Wow - what an evening! Highly recommended!

Went here as part of a group team building activity and really enjoyed it. We had loads of food and drinks and we learnt a few things about German cooking and grilling. The host was not only an excellent chef, but also a great entertainer. We had a number of courses throughout the evening: 1) Satay, Small wraps and other stuff 2) cheese cups with salad, smoked salmon and a delicious sauce 3) Perfectly cooked, dry aged USA beef with vegetables 4) Chocolate soufflé and Caramelized Passion fruit and apple tart tatin We learnt how to make the dishes and also how to grill and smoke various food items like vegetables, fish and steak A wonderful experience and I would happily come back here anytime :-) It is also a great team building or award idea for companies. Surprisingly, this place has such a low radar on Yelp but if you're reading this and are in Munich right now, make a reservation and try this place out asap! Halali has supposedly been around for 100 years. Aside from some antlers hanging around the walls, you probably can't tell it's been around for so long; its ambiance is what you might expect of an interior in any Michelin star restaurant. It is so classy for a business dinner or a date. The food was absolutely spectacular and the waiters so kind. They gave free samples of an appetizer and dessert to every guest. A couple next to me also inquired about an appetizer and the waiter gave them a free sample on the house, just to help them decide! If you love seafood, get the gourmet fish, giant prawn and scallop dish. The lobster sauce on this dish is to die for; you'll find yourself eating it all with the complimentary bread. And oh man the crème brûlée..huge plate with a delicious side of strawberry ice cream! Definitely save some room for this at the end. The plating on everything was very fancy - you can tell a great deal of professionalism and skill went into not just the cooking but also the presentation of the dish! And lastly..it is next to the US embassy if that is at all useful to anyone.
