Our hotel recommended having tapas along this street and Bilbao Berria looked promising with a buzzing crowd and cozy interior. It turned out to be an excellent choice.
We luckily snagged two seats at the bar and started ordering everything that came out of the mini kitchen in front of us. We had patatas bravas, foie, tempura shrimp, croquetas de jamon, squid ink croquetas, duck loin, beef taco, pork belly, tomato salad and of course wine. We enjoyed everything but the pork belly.
The total bill was a steal at under €40 euro. We left full in a glorious euphoria of good wine and delicious food. They also have a full restaurant for those looking non-tapas options. read more
